walked into this location for the first time on thursday April 23rd did not know packages that were already bagged but not taped had to be sealed because I usually go to UPS and they always do everything for you, no hassle. I was attended by an employee named Irma. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, to be quite honest she had NO customer service whatsoever and seemed like she had no type of basic manners at all. She gave me attitude about my bags not being taped when i clearly mentioned it was my first time going to that usps. after i taped my own bags after her the comment saying "yeah well, we're not UPS, we're different" i met her with the same attitude. after she was done I asked for her name and she gave it to me with extreme attitude in her voice. At that same moment as I was walking out my keys flew underneath a huge wooden greeting card holder with four wheels on it. As I was looking for my keys I told the employee Irma "it was just tape it's not that serious" when she responded "if you could read you would have read the sign posted on the window that said to have it packaged already" while I was bent over trying to find my keys in walked a customer, an older Hispanic man that yelled to me "yeah you should have read the sign" I told him to mind his business and we started to argue. while I was bent over looking for my keys Irma the usps employee started talking about me to that man I overheard her say "bad things happen to bad people that have bad attitudes" and I immediately responded telling the employee "You were the rude one right when I came in over some tape" and I told the older man "mind your business, no one was talking to you" and in front of the employees and everyone he made a sexually explicit comment about me being on my hands and knees. IRMA WAS GIGGLING AND LOOKING AT ME WHILE THIS OLDER MAN MADE THIS SICK COMMENT. that whole time I was looking for my keys neither employee IRMA OR VANESSA DID NOT ASK IF I NEEDED HELP. I moved the huge card display by myself to get my keys. It was the most disrespectful and disgusting encounter I have ever had at any establishment in my life. I called the cops because I felt unsafe in this federal building. I gave all of the information I could on that man who mind you that employee IRMA Still helped after what he said to me and not only helped but laughed and enjoyed the horrific situation that happened because of her poor customer service. The employees were laughing agreeing with him while I was being verbally assaulted and that is the group of people they have working at the USPS in Rancho palos verdes. I would never return to that location one employee was a disgusting example of who usps hires to represent their company and establishment While the other acted delusional as if she didn't hear or see anything. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE. I will continue to speak about my experience everywhere I go and every social platform I can. IRMA IS A HORRIBLE REPRESENTATIVE. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. The woman working today should not be working in service. She was extremely rude. I walked up to her. No hi. Nothing. The way she just looked at my package and said, "I cannot help you today. I cannot take your package because it does not have clear packing tape. It has to be clear." I told her the sign says it does not have to be clear, it says it is preferred. The tape I'm using is heavy duty, but she didn't want to hear it. So disgustingly and disappointingly rude! At the end of your transaction the car reader will ask you how your service was and these entitled workers force you to put a happy face (which means good). I got yelled at and my packages were thrown! I should have had the time to read the question and answer truthfully not be told what to press! so disappointed. read more

it's an average post office. they don't have a large drop off box, so you can head inside and leave it on the counter. however when i went inside and paused for a moment to see where to put it, i was told to wait in line, which put me off a bit. read more

We have a early 30's post office building on beacon and 9th and i went there to renew my passport. The building was with brass railings and the floors were worn down from age but still very stable and safe to use. I recommend anyone visiting San Pedro to make sure to drop by this historical building as it's a wonder to add to your historical knowledge. read more

BEWARE!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! worst worst worst customer service!!!!!!!!! so annoyed. OBVIOUSLY you always ALWAYS ship with UPS/FedEx but..... I was selling an item and decided to go USPS route. This location is the worst one ive ever been to. When I was shipping out my package they said OH YOU NEED TO ADD INSURANCE and it was like 50 bucks or some BS. I said no. And now guess what? My package is missing... WTF she forsure is the one who lost it on purpose. I literally drive over and shes like no CLUE no Clue where it is.. She said its at the LA Hub... UM NO becuase the tracking was only scanned once. And then says to wait 30 days... BRO by 30 days I will have a negative review. So annoyed, not helpful, horrible attitude post office. Service can be a bit slow at times but the staff are great. Always pleasant and helpful.

This is a convenient post office. There is adequate parking, and it is rarely busy. Even when it's busy, the line moves swiftly, and the employees here are always cheerful and friendly. On 10/24/18 I sent, from the San Pedro Post Office on Western Ave., important documents by certified mail - return receipt requested to a business address in Orange County CA On 11/7/18 [2 weeks later] having not received the proof of delivery, I went to the same post office. I showed my certified mail receipt ... the employee at the counter handed me a piece of paper with a telephone # she had written and told me to call the # ... she said she was to busy to help me ... I called the # and spoke with "customer service" I provided the information ... she "researched" by the certified number and advised me that it was received in Orange Co. but it's lost ... "To add injury to insult" I've also been advised that while the certified fee may be refunded ... the POSTAGE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED ... WHY? ... no one had an answer ... so ... I guess this is a "lesson learned" ... no mas post office ... for me ... use UPS only !! read more

Very easy post office. The staff is friendly. There is street parking or parking in the lot on the side. The business doesn't look appealing but it's worth a visit. They are very quick and know what they are doing. read more

Most staff here are friendly. My issue is most times I come here , while there's a long line of people waiting as you can see in the pictures there's always another lady SITTING IN THE BACK AT A TABLE TALKING​ ON THE PHONE. What's wrong with these people , the door has been partially opened and there she is sitting on her behind talking on her phone . Yes ,I have witness this on numerous occasions . That's my observation like it or not. There should be at least 3 workers in front not one worker just sitting around doing nothing While there's a long line of customers waiting to be serviced. read more

This Post Office deserves 5-stars just for being open on Saturdays. What I like about this PO; small office, friendly staff, Priority Mail boxes are self serve (saving you time in waiting in line just to ask for a box), and not crowded. It's located at the end of a small strip mall. Kinda hard to find, just look for the Carl's Jr and you're close! This is now my go-to post office! read more

This is a awesome post office. Crowded parking lots are everywhere. This city has grown tremendously. Nothing you can do about that. The post office is clean and very nice and helpful people work there. I came in was immediately helped and told where to put my mail. They have a large slot for letters. No grouchy people that I can see. And lines are just like crowded parking lots than can be anywhere. It's the customer service and efficiancy that is important. My mail gets delivered extremely fast due to this post office. So if your looking for efficiancy come here. read more

This is a really pretty nice post office. My biggest complaint is that there are usually really long lines which is why I was completely ecstatic when I came here and didn't have to wait in a line. The people behind the counter are usually pretty friendly and helpful as well. My only advice is that there is a mailbox out front and you can also drop your mouth through the letter slot when you first walk in and don't need to stand on mine if you are only looking to melt some envelopes. read more

The customer service here is HORRIBLE. I was in line waiting for the customer in front to finish getting help. He was an elder man who barely spoke english, the employee was sooooo rude to him. Theres a question about hazardous materials before paying for the shipping label & the man didnt understand the question & he kept selecting yes instead of no. The employee (a female, wish i had got her name) kept YELLING at him saying WHY ARE YOU PRESSING YES? The man didnt fully understand & gave a nervous laugh. She said ima do it again, & since she didnt explain anything to him he selected yes again & of course, she yelled at him AGAIN saying WHY ARE YOU SELECTING YES??? She finally explained to him & told him to select no. The poor man looked sooooo uncomfortable smh. Then when it was my turn, she wouldnt accept my packages because they "weren't in the right boxes" w/e that means. I have NEVER had any issues shipping using THEIR boxes as I frequently ship my Mercari orders & NO ONE has ever mentioned anything about the boxes I use. This was such an inconvenience & I do not recommend coming to this post office unless you want to waste your time. That employee (female, short, glasses, brunette) should not be working there. HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!! UPDATE: I took my boxes to a different post office & they accepted my packages NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! I went here today around 4 30pm. There was alot of people but employees were very fast. I was looking for passport application and the employee was very attentive to her clients, she right away asked what i needed help with and gave me all the information i needed. By far the best and most mellow Post Office I've used in the area. Parking lot is designed poorly. You might get yelled at by contemptuous motorists who think you blocked/took their spot. Customer service is careful and patient. Once I discovered this place my experiences with USPS have gone much better. I even used this place to bring up a concern I had with Torrance USPS and they helped me get a special phone number to call and get it resolved quickly. read more

For a Post office, they really have their act together. The people behind the counters are very friendly and very knowledgeable and help the lines to move efficiently. My main complaint with this location is that the parking can be quite difficult and the spots are kind of tight. If you aren't familiar with the location it can be very difficult to find as it's located all the way in the back of a shopping center not visible to Western Ave. read more

I've gone to many a post office (I sell a lot of things on eBay and subsequently have to ship them out), and this is BY FAR the friendliest and fastest I've experienced! Most recently, I went in to request a change of address form. The clerk didn't have any available on hand, but she went to the back to open a new box just for me. Instead of telling me I could do it online and sending me away, she addressed my need promptly and courteously. So, so, so impressed! I wish that every USPS location was like this! read more

Okay PO. I once arrived there 3 minutes before closing and I was told it was closed and they refused to mail a small envelope. What makes this a great PO is the people that come here. Incredibly helpful and nice customers frequent this postal office. When the clerks refused to take my piece of mail, one of the people in line offered to mail it for me. I gave him money and my mail and he came back with the receipt. Incredible guy: I send you 1,000 worth of Karma points. The workers are your typical government worker just waiting to retire. What a shame as this is a nice location and hidden at the back. I must say the lines do move somewhat fast. If you are looking for friendly - hard working staff members, a clean safe office and public parking availability, this is your USPS office - the Eastview Branch. I have lived in worked in Los Angeles for many years so I know what a slow post office looks and feels like where the employees just don't care. This is not it. The clerks work steadily and that is all we can ask for. The 3 clerks are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their work; offering info and options. They are so conscientious they may even take their breaks and rests at their desks in the back of the office. (and guess what... they have desk work to do too). As with any other business you will encounter lines at the opening office hour and then the 'after you get off work' hour. Vanessa delivered extremely sub par customer service at this location. From the time she called me up to be helped she had a negative, unpleasant attitude. She forced me to do extra, unnecessary writing on 6 pages of paper that the post office does not even keep. She made this demand despite seeing me wearing an immobilizing brace on my wrist. On one last piece of paper that I missed she shoved it in front of me and said "Are you gonna fill this out or not?" Next time I'll drive a little extra to get better service. My favorite USPS! While they only have 3 counters, the staff work efficiently to not only keep the line moving, but to assist each person in paying for postage that works for them. They don't rush you, and they're always happy to break down all the shipping cost options. Just like any other post office, there's a last minute crowd before closing, but if you can come in any time before 2, you'll be good to go. read more
