There is not a lot to say about a post office. Did not interact with staff. Self-service machine worked fine. Parking lot is a bit odd though but not a big deal. I will say that to exit the place it may be worth it to drive north towards LA Fitness and exit there as the traffic builds up immensely during rush hour traffic at that corner. read more

Worst customer service I have experience yet at post office. Last week I walked into this post office to return a piece of clothing that I ordered online... I waited in line for only a minute or so, and when it was my turn, I walked up to the counter where a OLD guy with white hair and white facial hair greeted me. I handed him my bag, which was not taped, because I don't own clear, Scotch packaging tape, and he directed me to a retail rack and told me I could buy some tape to tape my package. First of all, I've returned many things in boxes or bags w/o tape and most clerks at the post office will assist you and tape it up. I noticed he had SEVERAL rolls or tape at his desk and one roll of CLEAR Scotch packaging tape. I pointed at the roll behind his desk, and I said, you have some tape right there, can you help me out? His exact words were, "that is not for customer use". To the old man with white hair behind the counter, F.U. you are a d&#k! I ended up going to a different Postal Office and the clerk there, gladly helped me out with my package. read more

Came in 15 minutes early for passport services and appointments were to last 45 minutes. We were in and out and driving back home at our appointment time. Kathy was quick and efficient and good with kids. Hope we really don't need to wait 18 weeks to get our cards and documents back! They need Kathy working there! read more

I think a lot of post office runs the same way. Could it be better? HELL YES. So why does this get 5 stars? Because it's open on Saturdays until 4pm!!! (I'll update my review if their hours ever change and give them 2 stars) Most post offices don't open on Saturdays and if they do, they close at 12pm. You'll have to go to the main processing center in Phoenix for the only other post office to be open as late. The only thing about this small post office is they don't accept big packages. This location gets very busy and they don't have fast enough workers to get through the line in a timely manner. They do have an self service machine which is beneficial however sometimes the drop off box gets stuck. Every time I come to this store during business hours a lot of the customers leave unhappy due to the wait time or because of the customer service. Just saying . read more

Rich is wonderful! Very friendly! We had had a extremely bad Post Office experience at another location. We decided to try this one which was closer to home. The ambiance completely changed. This post office seemed brighter and had just an overall relaxed feel to it. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Who's bright idea was it to move this post office to one of the busiest intersections in Scottsdale? I don't end up at the post office very often. When I do, it's usually just to drop something off at one of the mail boxes out front. While it's pretty easy to get in, trying to get out is a mess. The only way in and out is Scottsdale Road. If you're trying to turn left (north), you can end up sitting there forever. Turning right (south) isn't that much easier, you're only feet from McDowell. It's constantly backed up at the light, and it's hard to get all the way in the left lane if you want to head east on McDowell. The interior is massive improvement from the old location on Osborn. That's the reason I'm willing to give this location three stars. read more

I don't really want to kill myself when I come here like I used to. In the past few years, something has changed for the better, and the employees almost seem like they care. (It's confusing; really) If you come at 5:30, this place will make you contemplate going postal, but off-peak times the staff are actually really friendly, helpful and seem to care to help, including the dude named....Dude. Picking up packages sucks a bit... If you get a package notice and come by the same day, if your carrier isn't back yet, neither will your package be available. Wish they had some way to communicate that easily, because it seems like every time I'm here someone else is pissed off that they can't get their stuff. read more

By far, the most service oriented USPS I have ever visited. I recently had three small packages delivered to me, but the address number was mistranscribed, so they were scheduled to be sent back to the original shipper (and placed in the general shipping bin). The post office worker was kind enough to actually go through all those return packages and find the parcels. MInd you, this is a very busy office and these were small packages mixed in with all the outgoing mail. Not only was the USPS rep responsive, but they also were very thoughtful in understanding my plight! I am still quite impressed on the level of service. Thank you USPS! read more

Yesterday I needed to stop here before work to mail a package. I arrived at 8:25 and there was already a line five deep people and the sign said that they opened at 8:30. At 8:40 they finally started unlocking the metal gates to open, and at 8:42 am I was actually helped however I was 15 minutes late due to this fiasco. I didn't know you could even review a Post Office... but since you can, I figured I would. Though I don't come here very often, it seems as if every time I have some sort of issue. I do want to clarify that the times (only a couple) that I've gone to the customer counter, they've treated me well. So about those issues... in the last 3 times I came after hours to use their automated machines, one time the machines were out of order, the second time they were out of all flat rate packaging, and the third, the drop box was jammed and therefore I couldn't drop off what I went to drop off... yeah very frustrating!!! read more

Had a wonderful experience with Kathy today. I came in stressed out after I got my passport photos from Walgreens, the clerk at Walgreens had spilled coffee on my passport paperwork. Kathy was very efficient in making photo copies and having me re sign certain areas. She printed the label and really knew what she was doing. I was next in line, 3 workers at counter. Rich's counter came open and I walked up to his counter, he then rudely states " I am not ready for you yet! " The 10 customers in line behind me seen this rude behavior from Rich and smirked it off towards Rich. Roland made the experience better, at his counter. Okay so first of all the staff that works here and the mail carriers I have met are all super friendly people and seem to do their best. But this Scottsdale distribution center seems to have some things out of balance. In 2017 I had someone send something to the address I lived at prior where mail forwarding was set up. Package was mailed out of Newark, NJ with two day priority mail and took going to this location to try and find it, my old apartment building, talking to my old concierge and several mail people on my route before I got the package about a month later (ridiculous). Then as of the last few months at my condo building in 85251 the earliest they ever come is 330pm M-F. But it's usually around 530pm and I have seen them come as late as 830pm. This distribution center seems like it needs more staff or something to make it work better. Regular mail being shipped to you shouldn't take 7-8 business days. read more

I arrived Monday afternoon to mail sixteen packages to Arkansas for work. The line was long and I considered leaving and returning to battle the long line another day. There were about eight people in front of me. Seven minutes later I was asking about my mailing options. I selected priority mail with delivery confirmation as it doesn't require a signature. Not only was it cheaper than other companies with amazingly similar initials, but it was half the cost we had estimated based on weight and location. The post office representative had me help by affixing the delivery confirmation stickers and then the priority mail stickers onto the envelops to speed up the process while she entered the packages into the system. Another seven minutes later I was done. I'm just going to say it. I had great service at the post office. I've been back several times to mail packages to Arkansas. All the employees are very competent. Today, an older woman wanted them to track down a letter she sent with a check. She was concerned because the letter didn't have a return address. Not sure how that turned out, but the long line melted away in no time again. read more

Hours are just for lobby. They actually open up at 9. What post office opens up at 9? Not only do they open at 9, they set up at 9. Very unprofessional, that place should be ready to start talking to customers at 9. Not putting out displays, fixing their area, adjusting drawers. They are not organized at all. This is the last straw...we've had numerous problems with this office before but i can't stand it anymore. The line is always long and only have 1 clerk working. The clerks there are the rudest I've ever encountered! First we go there saying that we could not use a certain box of theirs because we were getting free shipping from Amazon so that was annoying. I called my dad who is a postal worker and said that ask if we can just "black out" the priority mail part on the box and we asked them and they said yes. So we left and came back with everything blacked out and they still said it was no good with an attitude. Needless to say, I just left just furious without letting her finish her bs. I looked online and it said that USPS never picks up phone at local offices. I just called and though it took a couple of minutes, they did pick up and were very helpful. They apologized and explained they would definitely call me back to day to help me with my issue. They just needed to get the mail carriers out with today's mail and then they would work on it. I have also visited this office on several occasions and they have always been helpful. Way to go USPS! read more

I came here trying to open a po box for my wife. I was working with Jim and he is by far one the best people working there. I went to go check the po box to make sure both mine and my wife's name were on it. Turns out the box clerk only had my name on it. I went back to counter and asked to have my wife's name added to the box. The guy with the white hair and the metal stars on his collar just handed me a sheet of paper and told me to fill out it out. I asked when my wife's name would be added and he just gave me a vague answer (typical government employee). If you see him, don't go to him for anything real to get done. I came back the next day and her name still wasn't added. Except this time i went to Jim again and he took care of it right away. I went to the box to make sure my wife's name was there that day. It's not about her being added, its about why i needed it done. Jim is at the counter at the far left corner wearing a tie. Best customer service is given by him. read more

like most people, i get hives when i have to go to the post office. rushing after work to make it inside before 4:59 only to stand in line with about 50 other ornery customers. and this branch is at a very busy intersection in scottsdale. and forget about trying to exit in a "safe" manner....a left onto north scottsdale will have you squealing the tires and a right on south scottsdale will have you swerving all over the place trying to make mcdowell road. but that said about the poor locale (and the hours, i know the employees have nothing to do with that), i have never been greeted by a less than friendly counter assistance. especially from Dude. at least that's what it says on his name badge...Dude. that alone is enough to make the trip to the post office manageable. if you can, skip the line and use the automated postal service machine. but sometimes even those 2 kiosks have a long line. read more

Terrible, slow and massively inefficient branch. Anticipate an extremely long line. Also, the "free" boxes are never available and you must wait un the long line to see if they have any in back. Though convenient to us, this PO is experiencing some problems; possibly due to inexperienced workers? After all, all one needs is to pass the civil service exam to work there. Problem 1: "Anyone using a credit card?" I stepped out of the long line, glad there was another avenue to get my transaction done quickly. All I had to do was purchase a book of stamps and postage for a letter that needed delivery confirmation. The young man who helped me was apparently confused as to my request and by the time we were done, I could have stayed in line and been out sooner. Problem 2: We have one of those old fashion mailbox systems at our complex, where the mail person opens a row of mailboxes with a key, places the mail in their appropriate slots, then closes that row--or is supposed to. One day, the boxes were left open for almost an entire day, even after the local PO was called. Meantime, some things I was expecting in the mail have yet to arrive, or have they? read more

The worst service ever!!!! Never answers the phone. Had a package sent to me that was missing "4th floor". Been getting mail here every day for over 4 years. Spent 1 hour on hold with main post office to add "4th Floor" and the package was set to be redelivered. Then, a wonderful US postal service Woman decided to just "RETURN" the package to the original sender without redelivering to me after 1 full hour on hold with post office. This is the closest post office to our home so I will have to make do with what we have here. The parking lot is small and they've designed it so that it's one way, which proves to be slightly annoying if you can't find a spot, or if you have to stop and wait for every car which tries to get out. I try as hard as possible to print my postage online beforehand so that all I have to do is drop it off in the mailbox and not deal with the counter. Arrived yesterday at 4:37 with the understanding that the post office was closed at 4:30. I dropped off my two boxes in the drop box and as I was trying to rotate the dropper back up, realized my boxes were stuck. I took a closer look through the gaps (which you could see through the back) and saw that their bin was entirely full which was why my boxes couldn't "drop". How is it that no one in the back could try to clear out the bin towarsd the end of the day? It was as if simply no one bothered to check throughout the day. Since they were stuck, I couldn't even retrieve my boxes, and just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best, that the postal workers would clear out the bins and collect my boxes. Because it was after 4:30, the post office was closed and I couldn't really notify anyone that the boxes were stuck. read more
