phone calls don't go thru to an answer-person. i have a red flag up on my mailbox on saturday dec 20th. nothing picked up. have it still up today, monday dec 22nd. if small package not out for re-delivery today- i'll just blow it off. not able to drive well due to recent shoulder surgery. the tickets put into mailbox need to be re-worded for more clarity. read more

These people here(shelton) can't get me my mail. I've had 6 very important documents and checks sent back to sender. They clearly have my address and this mail is sent to that address. It's seriously very sad that people won't do their jobs. No integrity! Leaving the shelton post office both times I complained I spoke with others have th e same problems. It asks for pics below? What difference would it make? I have pictures from three senders. Why would these pics make a difference??? I see ten one star reviews here! Apparently the postmaster doesn't care either! This is BY FAR the worst post office I have ever had to deal with and I've lived in Tacoma!! It's worse than the pico Rivera post office in L.A.!! I mean they have to be trying to screw things up to be this bad.. you would think it would just be easier to do it somewhat right but noooo they are out for a globally terrible award or something. They have failed to deliver or straight up lost 6 of my packages and mail... Even the latest one on the 10th of September 2024 they put a hold on my packages saying I'm the one that requested it, so I go down there and they say they can't find it. After 3 subsequent trips down there I got one of the packages and it wasn't until today on the 28th I got the other. If you are sending for something you truly have to receive.. try every single other avenue before going here and expect them to lose it for at least a week. Don't expect to file a search or anything like that bc they will just close it as soon as they get it. read more

What a cool old building. It looks as if it's been standing there for decades. They manage to make it functional for the modern age but maintain the old charm. I went in on Friday afternoon at about 2pm the day after Thanksgiving. What a nice surprise we were the only ones in the whole place. I walked directly up to the counter and got assistance. This certainly doesn't happen in the Portland Metro area. I forgot what a smaller town is like. I will definitely stop there again when I need postage or assistance. This place is manned by crackheads and ran by a total incompetent. Twice in this week alone they "Delivered" my Amazon package to themselves and I am welcome to come pick it up, except Oh wait! They're closed! Why do I pay extra for Prime 2 day delivery if I have to wait 5 days to go pick it up?!? Worst post office ever. Even the mail carriers are incompetent. I've lived here several years, in several different homes, and have experienced mishandling of packages, lost mail, and consistently rude attitudes about the mistakes. One particular mail carrier repeatedly manhandled and over stuffed my mailbox so often she ended up knocking it completely off it's post, then proceeded to put the mail in the box while it was on the ground. Another mail carrier in a completely different neighborhood, found it fit to honk her horn at my residence very aggressively instead of leaving the mail at the door like normal human being, she made me come out and physically take the package and then had the nerve to give me attitude about taking so long to come out. after explaining to her I was tending to my wife who was experiencing a seizure at that moment, and that she woke our infant who I had to put back to sleep which was all very inconvenient for me, and inconsiderate of her, she then unapologetically suggested that next time I use FedEx! Time and Time again I find myself with emails saying there was a problem at the post office and my mail was sent back, lost, or actually handed to some random person! And that's not even including the people who work at the actual post office, they make a bad situation intolerable. They are rude, condescending and act like they're heavily drugged on some sort of barbiturates with their extremely bored responses and slow movements. My son giggled at a post card with a puppy face on it, and the employee actually asked me to get my son under control... For letting out a giggle FFS! my son's feelings were very hurt as he is very sensitive, especially in public settings. My daughter's SSC has been mishandled so many times in mail route, that I had to go to the SS office and personally pick it up. I HATE this post office. All the employees suck. I never get my mail on time if at all. Terrible terrible post office. I'm only including one star because there is no option to select no stars as a rating. read more

This place is a gigantic pile of suckage. Worst post office ever. I've lost count of how many times I received an email saying, "your package was delivered, at front door/porch", yet when I open the door and look, nothing! Today, a man that lives a few streets down from me walked my packages over as they were delivered to his address. This is not the first time other people in the neighborhood have brought my packages over. I've also had some missing as well. Today I received notification that my daughter's Christmas present was delivered, possibly, but it sure as hell wasn't to my house. Hire some people that can read an address, and deliver a package. I would give this local Post Office zero stars if I could. Today, sent DH to the PO to pick up a package I was expecting. UPS delivered it to the PO since we have a PO Box, it was scanned as being delivered yesterday at 1:51 p.m., yet they have no record of it. This might be more than a zero except this is the 3rd time in the past couple of months that this has happened, only many days later we get a note in our box that it's there. My question is where does it sit for 3-5 days until you put the notice in our box? DH had them double check today and they couldn't find it, I'm betting money mid-week we will get a note saying it's there. LAME as can be. I am glad that I don't use the postal service much since the advent of technology, they should take the service out of USPS. read more

Absolute worst service from an employee who just didn't give a shit. He was unshaven and had his shirt untucked (it was 9:00 am). We called the day before to make an appointment to get a passport for our daughter and we were informed they discontinued appointment setting and that the passport line opens at 9:00. We show up at 8:50 and the and the employee tells us the passport kiosk opens at 9:15 and then argues with us when we tell him that we called the garland number the day before and they told us to come in at 9:00. We come back at 9:10 to get in line to find out that the passport kiosk is already open and there is 4 people in line ahead of us. We then end up having the the same guy process the passport application for our 4 year old and he tried to charge us adult price. Again, he didn't give a shit when we corrected him. Good thing he has a job at usps because this guy wouldn't be employable anywhere else. read more

I've lived here for twenty years, and lately this post office is just flat out bad! Our mail is delivered to another address, and sometimes we get no mail at all, and I mean the whole neighborhood goes without mail. A couple of years ago I sent a letter by priority mail with a postal money order inside, and it got lost. I had a trace done, and it showed that it never left the building. I let them know that, and they said that wasn't possible. I had to spend twenty bucks to have the money order rescinded and a new one made for yet another charge. Eight months later I got the original letter returned. It looked like it had been dropped on the floor and run over by some carts. I hate this effing post office! read more

Literally the worst post office I've ever been to. The parking lot is horrible, the staff is impatient and rude, and the delivery drivers are completely incompetent. Multiple times I've come home to find a package shoved into my mailbox that was too big (we have a parcel box. They regularly forget it's there even though it's visible from the road). We've had to replace our mailbox twice in the past year - I am positive it's because of the mailman. Multiple times I've been waiting for a package, checking my box every day, then suddenly I get a FINAL NOTICE that they're going to ship the package back to the seller if I don't pick it up that day, even though there were no prior notices. They leave our mailbox open so rain pours in. One year for Christmas, in a ridiculous twist, the mailman put a religious holiday card in our box talking about Jesus. I understand they were trying to be nice (which is hilarious considering how awful they usually are), but I felt it was seriously inappropriate as it is their profession. I could not dislike this post office enough. There is one staff there, however, that I think is great. He has glasses. He always smiles at me when I pick something up and he's always very helpful. read more

Incompetent and lazy! Never a good experience using this post office. They have the laziest carriers I have ever seen who only do the bare minimum. My mailbox was knocked over so instead of coming up the driveway to deliver it, they refused to do so which resulted in a package getting sent back to sender that I was expecting. No wonder they are losing revenue. UPS and Fed Ex get the job done 10x more efficient. Never going to buy anything that is getting sent USPS again. Not worth the hassle read more

I've had good experiences in the past but now it's nothing but horrible delivery service with their recent hires for the route I'm in. I have had packages delivered to our neighbors mailboxes multiple times, left on TOP of our mailbox if it was too big (in the rain), fragile packages smashed and forced into our mailbox, and now packages are being "delivered" to doorsteps without any attempts of knocking or ringing doorbells. Packages are labeled "LEAVE IF NO RESPONSE" not "LEAVE". I have packages delivered to my home on specific dates so that someone is always home so we can avoid any problems, but their laziness has gotten plenty of my packages lost (probably stolen) too many times. Accountability is all theirs. All it takes is a knock on a door. I should be able to trust the post office with mail, not worry every day that I'm going to be missing packages, or have bills/anything with my personal info getting lost and taken to different addresses. 1 star for being able to at least pick up mail I'm sending out. read more

Twice I've picked up baby chicks at the post office, and they were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Also, go there often to mail things, buy stamps, ask information and have never had a bad experience. Don't know how it gets bad complaints! read more

I mailed a package to my brother in law and his beautiful wife and it arrived at this post office to be put in their po box, however it was too big so it needed to go into a locker and the key for the locker was placed in an incorrect po box which unfortunately that person is a thief and kept the package even though it was not addressed to them.The young lady at the post office should be held responsible for not paying attention to what she was doing. The items in the package cannot be replaced, this whole thing makes me sick. I don't think I will be mailing anything to their po box again ever. I really hate dishonest people really. read more
