This ask me to rate my experience. I checked a 1star because I felt it might be necessary to have my complaints noted herein. Fact is my rating would be a minus -5 stars and then some. This place is a crooked outfit. The lady that helped me was beyond rude. Furthermore she attempted to overcharge me $228 and change to ship a package via Fed X to Florida. Little did she know I ship regularly to locations in Florida and throughout the US. When I questioned her about the price she suggested I send take it to USPs in town which would ship it for $28 and some change. I told her there was no way in hell Fed X charges the rate she quoted me to ship to my package to Florida. I have shipped numerous packages the same size to Florida via Fed x and not once have I been charged anywhere close to the amount she quoted me. I subsequently went to an independent shipping company in downtown Shelton on Railroad Ave. Very friendly and helpful. They weigh and measured my package, and told me it would cost me $28 and change to ship it to Florida. Exactly $200 less than the price I received from Shelton Mail and Ship. Surprisingly this is the second time I have had an independent shipping and packaging outlet attempt to pull this scam on me. i will be reporting this to the State Attorney General's office along with the other company's including FedX and UPS that this scam outfit claims to represent. read more

5 years ago a friend told me to use the Post Office box service instead of a private company. Well I went to the P.O. and it was so cold and impersonal that I same here instead. Very happy, extremely nice business owner. read more

I don't even think you guys deserve one star. My mother went into this store just the other day to mail me a cell phone. Not only did she get the nastiest cashier they have I'm pretty sure, she was charged $27 in order to ship my package. The issue with this. They went in the back and grabbed a flat rate priority box from the post office that is normally since at the post office for flat rate shipping. I live in Idaho I'm right next door. She went to UPS because I told her that they ship by size by dimensions and not necessarily by weight. So in turn this lady goes in the back and grabs a flat rate $7.95 box from the post office puts my mother's phone in bubble wrap and shoves it in this box and then tries to charge her $27. Came up with every single excuse in the book as to why it costs my mother $27 for $7.95 box and the lady lied to her about the dimensions she lied to her about the weight She had the worst attitude ever and this entire confrontation between her and my mother made three different people walk out of the store. I will be calling the store tomorrow and speaking with the manager because this is atrocious, it's thievery, and employees that can't manage to have any type of class tact or customer service skills whatsoever should not be working in customer service positions. Guarantee my mother will be getting her $27 back and I have no problems driving from Idaho to that UPS Store to handle this myself. I should have listened to the other negative reviews. As soon as I walked in the door I was treated like an inconvenience. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. It's funny how other reviews state that they printed labels for you. This was not the case with my experience, in fact I explained that my printer was broken at home and she said to go to Olympia. They can help you there. Clearly they pick and choose who they want to be helpful too. There was absolutely no body else in the store, so being busy wasn't the case. Also they can't scan barcodes provided for drop off stores as they are not a "corporate store". Lady was rude and lazy. read more

I went to ship a 20 lb. package next-day from WA to AZ with Fed-Ex and was charged $407, over double the cost from the Fed-Ex website! Not given any other options and was rude when I questioned the price. It was because it wasn't corporate office... Really, that means more than double?! read more

Always had great service here, the lady at the counter has always been very helpful and I have never had issues I am reading about in the reviews, I broke my printer one time and she took the time( while busy in the store) to print every label I needed and some twice, I will continue to go there because of the great customer service! read more

Would NEVER buy anything here again. I thought theyd be more reasonable on prices but whatever its a small town pack n ship, right? Not by the attitude they arent! I had a huge box to carry out with a baby in my arms and kids by my side not only did no one offer to help me carry it out but couldnt even be bothered to open the door for me. The lady here was super rude to us. We were returning an Amazon product that hadn't assembled properly, and she literally said, "How stupid were you guys?" Then, as we were paying, she said, "You'd think you would've checked the reviews." We needed to ship it at a UPS certified place asap, and we had actually checked the reviews, which were phenomenal. If you want your packages to arrive DON'T go here! Somehow my very valuable priority package never got scanned, therefore disappeared into thin air, then told "sorry, we can't do anything about it". .. seems like the business "loses" a lot of packages. read more

This company is over priced and they lie about being the same cost as the post office. To mail my package at their business, (they weighed and quoted me $24.55). I felt this was too high and i left with my package to the post office. I then mailed my package for $12.88. When I was attempting to use their company they lied to my face that it was the same cost. clearly this is NOT true . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WASTE MONEY AND GET TREATED BADLY AT THE SAME TIME!!! read more

I have used this service for more than two years. The ladies that work there are very nice and friendly people .... also I may add very helpful and do a great job. I feel they provide a very good service at a very reasonable price. We travel constantly and are out of the country for almost half the year. They respond well to eMail or calls and their services are a bargain. I am a big fan. read more

If you plan on shipping a package, do it online before you go here. I shipped two packages and was charged nearly twice what shipping would have cost, had I gone to the post office and $11 more than UPS charged, which was a 20% upcharge. You can go online and have UPS pick up at your home for less than this place will charge you. The post office was also shocked by the 95% upcharge on my package. Steer clear, this place is out to rob you blind. Not only that, I shipped via USPS and she should have offered me priority shipping for a small fee, but their equipment is so outdated, that she never offered. I was told by USPS that it should not have shipped as "metered mail" which it was. I also should have been offered insurance for both packages, but that didn't happen. Really made me wonder if stuff occassionally just disappears from this place. Metered mail is for that business to use, but not for them to charge others to use. I absolutely despise this place with every ounce of my being. The women... and I use the term loosely... are incredibly rude. Sadly this is a small town and the closest UPS drop off is almost half an hour away so I have been forced to drop off packages to this awful place. Every single time I walk in the door they are rude and have horrendous attitudes. They aren't one bit helpful and their places are ludicrous. I tell everybody I meet not to walk in their door. I have no idea how they are able to continue to run a business. I've never been treated worse than I have been at this store. Literally every single time I have walked through the door. The service I received was outstanding!! When I went into the store, the lady at the counter was very helpful. She even found the right size box for my package return. Post office here I come! Not only were we not notified our package was returned to this shop, but once we spoke to them by phone they had Repackaged the items because it was "beat up". I went in to pick up my box and the lady knew all items in box of top of her head, stating that box was opened then returned. Hmm... had it been private items, this could be quite embarrassing. Nonetheless I thanked her and then she told me it would be a $15.00 fee. She shipped our item through UPS mind you.. the old box had NO "return fee" .. simply her hand writing "15.00 " near address. I spoke to UPS and they said that Shelton Mail & Ship is a private outfit, her policies; she can charge whatever.. but UPS themselves would not have charged because return code on our item was "Receiver Moved, Not Delivered" UPS also stated - had it been opened then returned, it would have an entirely different label. read more
