I paid $28.75 yet again to send a letter from Sudbury to central NJ. According to USPS tracking it never left the Shrewsbury distribution center. This distribution center is a major burden on USPS customers in Metro West. I've done this multiple times over the past few years and about half the time my letters get stuck in Shrewsbury. Why do I keep patronizing these guys????

When I spend money on postage I'd like to have a place to park my car where I don't worry about getting towed or scraped, and when I come with postage on my boxes ready to drop them off like so many other post offices, I'd like to be able to do so instead of being turned away when I don't really need anything that I can't do myself. In addition we received mail from four different addresses. The person I spoke with had a very nonchalant attitude. He told me just to put the mail belonging to the other people in the mailbox tomorrow. I told him the last time we had a problem the person I spoke with was very accommodating. The prior time they told me they had a carrier on a route that was too big for him and they would switch that carrier to another route. I told him I was concerned that if I was getting mail from four different people our mail was also being delivered to others. Only then did he say he would put a note in for the carrier to let him know he had made mistakes. No regret, no politeness and no apology. Sheesh.

Pro tip: while passports can be gotten here during the week and weekend - everyone seems to come on the weekend so be prepared for long lines (which impedes parking for the post office too.)
