A pretty standard full service post office. The clerks are always efficient but there is usually a fairly long line when I am there. This review is for Megan at this location. The post office, like many businesses around America, have been extremely understaffed. This particular location is no different, and with Megan working there, the insult of being understaffed is doused tremendously. I look forward to seeing her face, as I enter the doors. She always greets the customers with a smile and attempts to resolve any noted issues, from what I've observed. Just one example of how Megan goes over and above: I walked-in to grab the contents of my P.O. Box and by the time I reached the counter, she had already placed all my packages on the counter and scanned them out, without me saying a word. She's observant, anticipatory, and kind. I guess this is the main post office For the area. A good enough Post office. No handicapped access door, so if you're on crutches, carrying a package, you'll struggle to get inside before the door hits you in the head. My beef is the unfriendly, condescending workers. I lived many years in Hawaii, so I'm well acquainted with people of various cultures. These folks look down on you, as though you 'owe them money.' This makes me hate picking up registered mail at this location. One has to shore up your courage to face the withering looks from the workers. I wish we could pick up our registered mail on Grand Avenue. 'Big John' & the other clerks are WAAAAY nicer. read more

Awful, awful customer service! Very unhelpful and there is this one lady who is always up front who is very rude and unhelpful every time I go in. Today I went in to pick up a package and she asked for the little paper that they put on the door, I told her I accidentally lost it but I have my name, ID, and the tracking number from Amazon. When I said that, she just stood there for a few seconds and glared at me. Then she proceeded to say since the package was delivered two weeks ago that it just won't be there anymore. I asked her to please check anyway and with quite a bit of attitude, took the number and went in to the back and what do you know, she found it. So basically she simply just didn't want to be bothered to go back and find it and was rude and unhelpful. Thank goodness we have a UPS right down the street. Today I had an exercise bike being delivered. I got a notice at 9:21 am that the package was "attempted to be delivered" BUT "mailbox was full" - i live in a house, no fence, no dogs and how is an exercise bike going to fit In a mailbox? I go into the post office to inquire- I'm met with attitude and lackluster service. Allan, with the face tattoo, If you don't like or want to do your job FIND ANOTHER. From one millennial to another, find some happiness dude. Your energy sucks the life out of others. Come to find out, no one loaded the bike, and no one tried to deliver the bike. The bike was still at the post office. Allan slams it on the counter and tells me "you can take it after I scan in" ... thanks for the "help". How laughable. I'm 5'1 barely 125 pounds, but I am in good health, so I was able to, but what If all the elderly folks (the entire lobby was filled with 60+ year old customers) were told this? I'm just irritated with the attitude and negative energy. Allan, I hope you find happiness and peace within yourself, because I can only imagine how it feels to be so miserable you cannot muster a smile, and semi-positive tone - Esp when you work customer service. Just had my first experience with a rude and mean person in Spokane.. and of course it was a postal worker. Won't go back to this post office ever again. He clearly wasn't happy I paid with change for a letter going to the UK.. (4 quartered, A dime and a nickel) threw my letter back at me and made me right out the UK.. then handed me 4 stamps that didn't fit on my letter and walked away.. I had to find a drop box for the letter that won't go out till 5:45... it's 3 pm. What a jerk.. read more

I have repeatedly looked people in the eye and asked them not to leave packages outside of our doorstep. I have only lived in the area for 8 months and 3 of my packages have been stolen, not to mention the packages that have been damaged by rain. The cherry on top is that when I first moved into my place they sent back several pieces of mail because it said "National" instead of " north national." When the number combination only exists on North National, and SOUTH NATIONAL IS LESS THAN A MILE AWAY. It would take a rational person who cares about their job less than 30 seconds to figure out the true recipient of the mail. I wouldn't bring it up except it involved divorce papers, medical cards, etc. VERY IMPORTANT THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To date this post office has cost me more than my angry ex husband; in lost christmas presents, confused medical bills, and delayed legal paperwork. If I were to make this change in life, and try to start over, I would rather live under a bridge in a warm place and have all my mail arrive safely and reliably, rather than move to this place that looks beautiful, but has a huge kickback legal bullshit. read more

Mailman will not deliver to door. Only apt.office which is closed most days due to covid-19. No answer to phone at Post Office. It just rings busy and hangs up. Last med were delivered to office which is hit and miss with Covid-19. NO notice in mailbox. Use UPS instead. Pharmacy is resending via UPS read more

I hate this post office I have been living in the area for 3+ years and I live in an apartment complex. In the last week I have seen the post man leave one buildings mailbox left completely open for anybody to take the mail or the keys for the packages that are put in the other boxes. That same day I called about that I had an issue with the key opening one of the boxes where they put your mail that is too big for your regular mail slot. When he came back out to close the one buildings mailboxes he called and told me that he worked fine I could come down and get it I ran right down and the key didn't work they're having to be two of the complexes maintenance guys who also tried to get it to work and it would not open. The one guys stop the mailman and told him he came back and very nastily said well it just worked so he tried it and it wouldn't open so he opened with the master key and gave me my package. Instead of fixing the box I go down to pick up a package this morning and it's in the same as before and the damn key doesn't work. So he never bothered to change the locks or fix the problem I always get somebody else's mail in my box. In the last 30 days I've had four people knock on my door with mail that belong to me that was put in their box. And if this is in bed enough going into the post office is even worse I am not in anyway a racist but if you get the gentleman that is of some type of Asian dissent he is the rudest person I have ever met in my life. He is always very grumpy and unhappy I've even talk to the postmaster because the line could be out the door and he won't call for help. The postmaster said if he has any more than two people waiting here supposed to call them back for help at the counter he would refuse to do it. He's rude and God for bid you make a mistake I don't tape something you hear about it and instead of helping you fix your mistake he Will send you to the back of the line while are you add that little extra piece of tape or fix some minor hair. Just rude and you can tell he just hates his job so go find another one. There are plenty people that would be glad to have a job with the Postal Service. As for my package that is in the box it's still there even after I left him a note taped that he couldn't possibly miss about the key not working. He put mail in the box and just ignored the note to him that was more post master. I am waiting for a call back from the main Postal Service phone number to file a complaint which is not something I do normally. read more

well, if you have an hour to spend there, then go and get waited on by rather unfriendly cold and very slow staff..plus i have just spent an hour trying to write the main usps but every form you try to complete does not apply or won't go once you complete it!..so tried calling the number to file a complaint and was informed i have a 40 minute wait..so far its been over a half hour and NA..just lots of music!!.so they must have one person taking calls for the nation as well..as bad as waiting in line to buy stamps or ship packages at office on regal in spokane..i called and tried to complain first about a package i received back from my tax person a month ago and it was wide open when i got it..everyone could see my social security number without any trouble as right on top of information..tape did not hold and no one bothered to seal the envelope any other way..would you not think that the carrier could have slapped a piece of tape on this envelope when they saw it was wide open for anyone to steal my identity?? and secondly, i had a neighbor bring me my bank statement today that also was open so now my bank information has been exposed because it was put in wrong box and she opened by mistake without looking!! i realize that no one is going to care about any of this espec. at the post office as they make it virtually impossible to even complete their forms to file a complaint or call to report the problem..great job UPSP and you get paid how much to do all this??? with retirement as well?? something very wrong with this picture and organization..and i thought the USPS office in phoenix was bad..are any any good ?? i used to feel bad about people who worked for USPS as thought they were getting a bad rap as they used to be really good..but ot anymore. kc read more
