Worst post office in Stockton area. The employees are rude & will not accommodate you in any way. They won't even give you a small piece of scotch tape if you need one. I just had to stick a little postcard on top of my prepaid package & they will not be kind enough to put a little piece of tape for you. I was not wrapping up a whole package! Geez!! They want you to buy their $4.29 roll of tape so they will say they don't have anything. I'm here to buy stamps as well...and I can't get a one inch piece of tape? I don't know if all postal offices are like this but this one is ridiculous! I'm sure soon enough they will charge you for using their pen! Never going back here again! Got the key out of my box to go to the big lockers to get my package. The package wasn't there. They looked in all the other lockers and didn't find it. The girl even said she put my package in the locker. So I guess it magically walked away. I tried to file a claim and they said it wasn't insured so I can't get the value. All of this because they're employees are either idiots or thief's. Closing my po box this week and going to a more secure location. read more

Horrible Post office. They closed my P.O. Box for no reason. Had paid my fee through November. Didn't find out until a month later (used for business payments so only check twice a month). Admitted to their mistake but can't give me a straight answer regarding what happen to all my mail (it was return to sender, no it was forwarded. Mail hasn't arrived at either end, lost to Postal Limbo probably). Won't even give me a refund/extension on my P.O. box even though it was closed for a whole month. This is the type of service they provide and we're suppose to feel sorry that the postal service is hemorrhaging money? read more

This is absolutely the worst Post Office I have ever been to. I do not understand why every employee except for the African American lady, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE IS RUDE. RETIRE! Since you hate your job soooo much JUST QUIT! This Post Office Staff can absolutely ruin your day, every single time you go in there. ABSOLUTELY RUDE! They cut you off when you're trying to speak, and when you call, they are even worse. I had to return the Supervisors phone call and what a mistake that was. If all of you employees hate life so much you should find another job within the postal service where you do not have to deal with the public. I think the front entry way is deplorable.It has two sections of dirt and weeds,with a very narrow walk way that can not handle the foot traffic.Why don't they get rid of the dirt and weeds and make a larger ramp for walkers and wheelchairs.The normal foot traffic would also have more room.And it would not look so ugly.I'm sure Beverly Hills post office would never look like hammer ranch location.The people of Stockton should not be treated as second class citizens.Clearly different than those of Beverly Hills. read more

Everytime, loosing my packages, and no common sense! When I changed adresses they didn't hold mail asap, then they held it too long after I was ready.. As far as my packages, the last employee made a diagram of the mailbox, so I can see what the lock box looked like! What a pleasure that was.. The hammer Ranch Post Office is the most inefficient run organization on the face of the earth. I tried calling this place two hours and I all I get is press 0 for receptionist and then the receptionist's voice mail is full and never did get to talk to anyone or resolve my issue. I have NEVER in 9 years living at my house EVER had a problem receiving mail until now. It all started a couple months ago when the mailman rang my doorbell and left a package. I went to the door the mailman was gone, picked up my package went inside to open it, looked at address, it was not mine. I know we all make mistakes I could understand if was on the same street but IT WAS NOT EVEN THE SAME STREET! I go outside and flag down the mailman tell him it was not my package, it was not even my street. He gave me correct package. A couple weeks after that I go to pick up mail and there is a note "GO PICK UP MAIL AT POST OFFICE" too much to fit in box... REALLY I go and stand in line for an hour to pick up a handful of mail that COULD have fit in my box. I let it go do not say anything and leave. Now on Friday Dec 6, 2013 I went to pick up my mail (I just picked it up on Dec 4, 2013) there was a pink note saying to go to Post Office to pick up mail would not fit in box. I just picked it up ok...I go to the Post Office on Fri Dec 6, 2013 spoke to Porschea she said there was no mail for me to pick up but to leave my phone number and the mailman would call me and DELIEVER IT. I waited no phone call. I even waited till Mon to see if the mail would be delivered and put in the "Excess" mail box ....NOTHING I called the post office 5 times today no answer and the mailbox is full. I feel like I am being targeted by this mailman. Not sure what kind of games he is playing with my mail, but last time I checked it was ILLEGAL TO TAMPER WITH MAIL. I will be in tomorrow to file a complaint and pick up my mail. If anyone actually reads this from the USPS I would appreciate you getting in contact with me. read more
