I really don't like the task of having to go to the post office, but this specific location makes the trip more enjoyable. First off there is hardly ever a long line, and the staff is really friendly. Numerous times they have told me how to save on my shipping cost. I would give zero stars if possible! 1) Tracked packages are typically delivered late. Example: My 9/22/14 shipment from Foothill Ranch, CA arrived today, 2/20/15!! We tracked it to the Suisun PO and I called multiple times, the company assured me it was there per tracking. The PO said the mail carrier specifically said she remembered putting the package in a book on my porch. I said I was sure it was a box too big to out there. AND this is the same mail carrier who DRIVES ON THE CURB, HITS THE CORNERS FULL SPEED TEXTING WHILE DRIVING, AND MIXES UP ALL THE MAIL. Moving to #2 2) Worst mail carrier on my route from this office. When I called about the unsafe driving practices and constant mixed up mail--- uh, had to set my water bill to automatic online pay bc I wasn't getting the bill and got a pink slip shit off notice on my door!! Got prescriptions for neighbors, etc. I was told by the manager that I would need to file a formal complaint with my info. I don't think so, I'm not putting my name on it when this person has access to my social, bank info, credit card #s, etc. I have had many conversations w/neighbors I don't know personally just about their fear of the courier's reckless driving, but no one wants to put their name on that complaint. Hey this- my co-worker lives in Vallejo (two cities away) and said the same courier filled in for her regular courier and she almost went up to her for driving ON the sidewalk down the whole street in Glen Cove, but she was running late to an appointment. There are a lot of hard working people out of work. The PO needs to clear up some space for those people who will be happy to do the job well. Packages 5 months later with no apology? I've had so many memories of visiting this post office ever since I was little. Unlike the horrendous lines at the Fairfield PO Suisun's PO seems to have tentative workers that are always on their toes when the line starts to accumulate. Just like any federal service there may be hick ups once and a while which can make any patron lose their minds. A few times my dad's CPAP items went missing, when I put a hold on my home mail a week in advanced they'd hold all mail from the day I submitted the hold form, etc. But alas, no one can really complain about their service since mail is nearly an essential to everyone. read more

Not as resourceful as the post office in downtown Fairfield. Wish there was a 24/7 postal center at this location since they removed the stamp machine several years ago. I rarely go in for services that require postal clerks (they seem nice), but had an argument with the postmaster some years ago (long story, but can't stand his wannabe powerful attitude). The parking lot is large enough for the traffic, and definitely not as bad as the Fairfield branch. read more

I haven't had any horrible experiences at this post office and the workers that I've encountered have been very friendly and helpful. This place can get very busy with long lines being formed, just like any other post office. It sucks that not all of the little booth thingies aren't open to help expedite the process and keep the "traffic" flowing. Other than that I have no real complaints about this place. read more

Horrible customer service!!! Filled out card to hold mail delivery because we were going on vacation. Made special note on the card stating "WE WILL PICK UP OUR MAIL FROM POST OFFICE". Due to high mail theft in our area, we did not want our mail sitting in our box for a week AND we didn't want a weeks worth of mail stuffed in our box. Making a wasted trip and standing in the line to fill out the "Hold mail card" doesn't work because they are going to do what "they want to do" not what is best for the customer. Would leave 0 stars if I could. USPS tracking says that my package was delivered a couple days ago, but it never was! Went into the store and was informed that there was a mix up and I would receive my package that day. couple hours later USPS truck passes by, No package! Go to the store and was told that my package was delivered to the wrong home. And then was told to expect a call within an hour about the whereabouts of my package. Never received a call. This has got to be the worst excuse for a postal service I have ever seen. A complete joke. NONE of the postal workers ever actually deliver packages to your home. They instead drive around in their little car too lazy to get out and hand out pink "Sorry we missed you slips" to your mailbox. No knocking, no walking the ten feet it will take to place any package or letter on the front step - Just a slip and the incredibly inconvenient business hours for you to pick it up (10am to 5pm Monday through Saturday -because screw anyone that has a job.) Want it redelivered? HA! We've tried that FIVE TIMES ! They were all returned to sender, even after scheduling a re-delivery the day after we received the slip. Plus they have already lost two of our packages despite the fact that tracking has them last known at their location. I periodically have to take time off work just to get a package that could easily fit into my mailbox (no signature required) and lose money because they refuse to do their jobs. The post office location is filled with incompetence - they also have little remorse for you and your missed packages (missed birthday presents, medicine, work related items, time-sensitive materials - they don't care). Worst part is, they don't have to actually do their jobs or care about anything because they are a government job and bad customer reviews don't affect them (I mean just look at how many one stars they have on Google and Yelp). Finally, don't waste your time trying to call them, they never pick up and their answering machine is always full. Just poor excuse for a postal service and poor excuse for workers. read more

I will give the staff working the counters five stars. Each one that I have interacted with was pleasant,helpful and efficient. However, I will give the carriers on our route a 000. That was not a typo! Our mail is constantly getting mixed up with our neighbors. There will be days with no mail and then I get 15 pieces at one time. Our names and apartment numbers are marked on inside of our cluster boxes so is it difficult to at least match the right numbers? I'm very disappointed with this aspect of postal service. I think by its very nature, a post office cannot receive 5 stars because it's a post office, for the same reason the DMV cannot receive anything higher than one star. So this post office gets 4 stars from me because there is ALWAYS parking, and the wait is really not too bad. It's farther from my work than the Fairfield one, but I'll go out of my way to frequent the Suisun one instead because it doesn't have panhandlers outside, and the people aren't fighting over parking spots. read more

They simply do not answer the phone. I've tried multiple times on multiple occasions. This is why we don't let the public sector (government workers) take over businesses. I called to ask why they took away mail pick up in our neighborhood by blocking the outgoing mail slot on our mailbox and the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and then hung up on me. She told me I would have to drive to a mailbox to send mail. It makes no sense that they deliver our mail but won't pick it up. What are disabled/elderly people or people that are unable to drive supposed to do- this is discriminatory and absolutely unacceptable. In addition, When they put our new mailbox in we were given no warning, our keys no longer worked, and they changed our mailbox number with zero communication. read more

I don't go to this post office often so I can't really write a review on the location. But what I'd really like to bring to attention is whoever delivers my mail in Suisun is very irresponsible with how they deliver packages. I understand things can get a little messed up in delivery but I've witnessed a mail man throw my package on the front pouch( not just toss on the ground) THROW it. I recently got a package and it was completely messed up like they've been throwing things around. I'd just like to see them be more courteous with people's items. read more

One must make an appointment to process a passport renewal, however nobody will answer the phones at this post office or any other Fairfield, CA post office. One has to assume that our National Postal system is in bad shape if they can't even answer the phones to make an appointment for a passport renewal. The phone goes to a voice mail that is full. This location is always busy. I tried calling before but the phone just kept ringing. I think the best way to get a hold of someone is by email or by stopping by in person. I only see 3 or 4 regular employees here at the front whenever i stop by to drop package or send mail. Really helpful & friendly! Went to mail a package around 10:30am, they only had two tellers working. The line was long, and the tellers didn't seem to care. The only speed they must work at is VERY SLOW. the clerk that serviced me was very rude, but friendly to the 2 gentlemen in front of me. We properly requested a temporary change-of-address for 3 months to our Southern California vacation camping address (start: 1/6/18 and end 3/28/18). It took 21 days before the first mail arrived at the vacation address (most of the mail was still delivered to the home mailbox). Normally, no first-class mail during this period should have been delivered to our Fairfield home mailbox, but should be forwarded to the vacation address. Complaint #1: Much to our surprise, some of such mail (some time-sensitive!) was dropped into our locked mailbox in Fairfield where we found it after our return from vacation. Complaint #2: After our return home on 3/28/18 we expected that ALL mail would again be delivered to our home mailbox. Five days after our arrival we still are not getting any mail delivered. We called the Suisun Post Office --- they said that probably the mail carrier may not be aware of our return and is still forwarding our mail to the vacation address. Also, during the vacation, possible a substitute carrier delivered some mail to our home mailbox, not being aware that it should have been forwarded to the vacation address. Whatever the reason for the bad delivery service may be, it seems that there is a lack of supervision. If a substitute carrier is used, he/she should be thoroughly briefed and aware of all changes on the delivery route. read more

This post office is horrible. There's always only like one or two people working when the line is out the door. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, I understand that maybe they're shorthanded, cause of budget cuts or whatever. But what makes this place so horrible is the rude and unhelpful employees. I was sending a total of five cards internationally, and this was my first time sending something that wasn't a bill. My cards had a few 3D stickers on them which cause the envelop to look balky. Since it wasn't flat the lady said it wasn't considered a letter, but a parcel or a package. She said it would be $13.95 to send each card. I had gone in a few days before and asked how much would it be to send a card overseas and the lady that time told me I would only need a 40 cent international stamp, and if it weight over an ounce then I would just need to add a few more cents. So finding out that each card would cost $13.95 was kind of surprising, and really I would have just paid it, but she had such an attitude about it. I asked her what is considered a letter and what are the dimensions that I needed to keep the card under, just so I would know for the next time. She started yelling at me and arguing with me that what I had wasn't a letter and that she "knew" about letters. I ended up just leaving and going to the other post office on Kentucky street. The ladies there actually helped me and only charged me $3.20 for each card, since it was only the stickers that made the envelop look big. If I had sent it at this post office it would have cost almost $70. Rude employees, slow service, inaccurate information, and over charging. Ridiculous. read more

Not so much directed at the Suisun branch but the usps in general. Sent 8 boxes from Germany to my house . The Germans did put fragile on the packages I have only received 5 of the 8 boxes after 1 1/2 months and all boxes received so far have been badly damaged with broken and missing items in 4 of the 5 received so far. I did not insure the boxes not realizing that the postal service would play soccer with my boxes. I have already paid over $800 to replace broken Polish Pottery that was in the boxes, and that is not everything they broke. I am being told that since it was not insured their is no recourse. Extremely disappointed in the postal serve. Worst experience with a postal carrier ever. I will pay extra to send anything through any other carrier. Do not ever send anything breakable or expensive through our US postal service. read more
