Poor customer service. I received a certified letter today 4/15/26. The carrier left the notice in my mailbox, however, indicated "delivery attempt made - no authorized recipient available", which is a bold lie. My daughter who is definitely an authorized recipient could have signed for the document, however, the carrier never rang my doorbell, or made ANY ATTEMPT to properly deliver the package. and my doorbell camera can corroborate my statement. This is the third time I have had an issue with certified mail being sent to me was improperly handled by the Mellon Court facility. There is not a sufficient word in the English language to describe how horrible this place is. DO BETTER! YOU ARE HIRED EMPLOYEES REPRESENTING AN AGENCY OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! Went here for the first time today. And though it's not a holiday and it was the middle of afternoon business hours they were mysteriously CLOSED. Are they so understaffed that they have to shut the whole place down to take a lunch? Or just so incompetent that they can't schedule the day so that people take lunch in shifts and the post office stays open during normal business hours?? Who knows. Haven't answered a single call. All calls are relayed to the next available CSA then terminated after 6 rings all day long.

Called at 2:25 PM this Sunday to report a package marked "Delivered" that never showed up at my doorstep. I gave my information and tracking # to local USPS office and at 2:41 PM I received a call back after they investigated. Turns out the deliver driver accidentally left the package at a neighbor's house. USPS was able to track the package to the exact door using GPS, and by 2:46 PM I had my package back. Everyone makes mistakes so I can't fault the delivery. However, I was definitely impressed by the polite team that followed up to help me locate the missing package! read more

This is not because of Covid If I could give this location a -100 I would. Everyone is unprofessional. They leave you on hold. I spoke to a "supervisor" who left me on hold until I hung up. I cannot express enough the complete and utter lack of professionalism, unorganized , unpleasant group of workers. As essential as the postal service is.... everyone At this location NEEDS TO BE FIRED! Home security cameras have been my biggest defense in packages not being delivered. Misdelivered and mishandled. This post office is the worse I seen EVER! I frequent the post office for business purposes and was just there and the facility is filthy. There is trash everywhere and nothing looks like it has been clean. There are 2 friendly people that work here but they can't be the only ones offering a great customer experience. I too have also had packages delivered to my neighbors and it's been very annoying to deal with the merchant I deal with because of missing packages. The oriental man who is the manager is terrible. He has no customer service skills. I am looking to go to a corporate level to make a formal complaint on this office and their filthy office. Same problem here rude, don't answer the phone and actually put me on hold and never came back, I'm long distance and had a customer missing a package that says was delivered even, I met the phone ring and ring till they answered and did not even act like they were the post office, and it sounded like that had a little party going on down there..that's how bad this place is read more

If I could get zero stars I would. The postal system is terrible in Waldorf, MD is the worst- from throwing packages to losing mail to leaving false messages in regards to package delivery. When you speak to management they in typical Waldorf fashion do nothing. The customer service is horrible and I want to move because the service in Waldorf is so bad. read more

Delivery drivers on the C013 route have been really, really bad. The lack of oversight, for people being paid with our tax money, is worse. The fact is if you want to be lazy, do something else. You wouldn't want someone treating you the way you have treated our community. You have a physically demanding job, but there are many people who want it more than you and who would act better. It's not right! *First incident, 2019: Post office workers out of this location, on the C013 route, left behind USPS baskets on the 13th and 18th of January (2019). This demonstrates the carelessness and laziness. To further make the point - On the 18th of January, when I checked the mail, I had seven letters. Only one was for my residence. The rest belonged to three separate residences. I had to go deliver the mail that my tax dollars, along with the other three residents who's mail was not properly delivered, are paying you to do. That is pretty bad. **Update, 2020: Three packages said they arrived yesterday, per the USPS tracking website. Two at my doorstep and one in my mailbox. Our building has cameras throughout and, based on the footage, no delivery was made to my door yesterday and the mailbox is empty. I called to ask about the status of the packages as they were all merchandise. The boxes arrived two days later by the USPS delivery person. Clearly they lied to manipulate metrics. This is fraudulent and concerning, considering how much mail is delivered to the wrong address. A few weeks later, this incident happened again. This has also happened to our neighbors on multiple occasions. Nothing is being done to correct the issue, which is the fault of the system - above and beyond the delivery people. ***Update #2, October 2020: The postal workers out of this office have now taken to leaving packages at the base of the stairwell (to the apartment building) where anyone can steal the packages. They have also been tossing packages infront of, and sometimes into, our door. Our neighbors have caught them on camera doing this and have mentioned going to the local news station about the issue, as many of the residents in my complex have had items damaged by this behavior. There seems to be no oversight and things are getting worse. packages are being stolen, damaged, and/or destroyed due to the laziness of people who are paid with our tax dollars. The absolute worst. I've been living in Waldorf since 2018 and every single time I check my mailbox there's mail for my neighbors. I'm not the mailman and I should not have to deliver their mail to their door steps. Not everyone would do the same if they received other mail or packages. It seems that the mail carrier or whoever that sorts the mail do not know their numbers nor how to read. I've called on several occasions to get information on a package they claimed to have delivered. I checked the mail immediately as soon as I got a notification from the Merchant. There was no package in my mailbox nor did they leave it at my door. My camera didn't show no package drop off that day. I've called and spoken to Rose which was supposed to confirm delivery with the carrier and call me back. I've never got the call and I've been calling this office for days only for the phone to ring ring ring then magically hangs up. I don't have money to give away for these incompetent mail carriers to put shit in the wrong box or lie about it. They need to replace these people with those that can read and do their jobs correctly! And don't blame it on the holiday or COVID because this been happening way before then. Make these people redo their reading, math and sorting test. read more

Rude Staff, Missing mail , no mail delivery at all or other peoples mail in your box and managers that are no help at all with attitudes s if the can careless about people's mail. They are the worst postal service I have ever dealt with, from losing packages to delivering them to the wrong house and even signing for mail that was paid to have only the addressee sign. I have submitted complaints in writing and verbally and continue to experience the same issues for a year. The postal delivery person continues to leave packages at my back gate and door even after posting a huge sign on the gate instructing delivery of packages to my front door on rainy days so my packages can remain dry and not become saturated from the rain. I've ordered electronics and other sensitive items that I found sitting out in the rain for hours, so wet that when I pick up the box it falls a part in my hand. I'm at my wits end. I have a home business, and this is interfering with how I conduct business when items have to be returned or I have to absorb the cost of damaged goods. I have lived in several areas, nut have never experienced this problem before. read more

If there were a score lower than one, this Post Office earns it. This month alone, three packages alone were not delivered correctly. One was left on the trash can, one was not delivered, and one was delivered to a neighbor -who opened the package and then realized the error and delivered it to my porch. Phone calls and complaints are always "this is the first I've heard of it." There is no accountability with the carriers!!! read more

This review is not for the actual Post Office on Post Office Road, but for the administrative office on Paul Mellon Ct. It's unfortunate that I cannot give a zero star because that is what this office deserves. I have been calling and going to this office looking for my mails and packages and nobody seems to be helping. I did a change of address on 3/29/2018 and I moved to my new address on 3/30/2018. It's been over three weeks since this process started and I am still missing my mails and packages. Both the so-called supervisor and the clerks show so much ignorance that I wonder why and how they are still working there. Something needs to be done about this work attitude and I still need to know what is happening to my items. read more

Totally tee'd off at this post office. We applied and paid for pass ports for our daughters for a family trip we are taking in July. We did all that was asked, brought all the required paperwork and turned it in. Keep in mind they are very particular about how you do it so we assumed that they were doing it correctly. Our daughter has a birth certificate that was issued at Baylor Medical Center in 1999. They were issued without the raised stamp so technically they are not valid, even though we have used it all of her life to get stuff like school, medical and the like. And before someone asks we are natural born US citizens. The post office took our paperwork and of course the money, processed it and sent it off to the State Dept for completion. THREE WEEKS LATER, the State Dept sends us a letter saying those birth certificates from Baylor and about ten other hospitals in Dallas are not valid. So now we are jumping through hoops spending money, about $450.00 so far, and still not getting anywhere. I wonder why the post office did not pick up on this before letting us go all the way through? Now we may have to cancel the trip and lose about $2500.00 because of it. They were quick to take our money. Wonder if they will do the same to refund it?!! read more
