If I could give it no stars, I would. Let me start by saying there is never anyone in here! EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm at this location, they have an attitude and are rude. Recently went back for passports and were told that we needed an appointment (even when there was no one there). We scheduled one far out because it was the only one available, we have to wait weeks for the appointment. Got a call the day of our appointment saying that they were canceling our appointment due to an emergency and we were responsible for making a new one online. (The woman on the phone did not have an attitude) I'm not going back, and I hope they cycle out the bad employees. read more

I was there this past weekend and witnessed a sweet woman get berated by the USPS employee who is a black man I would say in his late 50s or so. What kind of customer service is that?! I bit my tongue because I didn't want my package to magically disappear, and it needed to go out. USPS needs to address this ASAP! Poor woman didn't know what to do with herself. Had she been a big man, I bet the employee wouldn't have taken that tone. Absolutely disgusting! He literally looked like he was going to square off with her! I had a terrible experience here today. The people working here are extremely rude and awful. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The old man doing the passport yelled at me while holding my baby and when I said I was going to report him he said "I don't give a f*ck" going through all the reviews I don't understand how they haven't get fired. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I had a passport appointment and was treated terribly, even though I didnt do anything wrong. Even if I asked a stupid question, I should not have been treated so horrific. Singing dumb dumb dumb as I am about to pay, not to mention she said "Jesus f'in Christ" under her breath because I asked a question. I honestly feel she hated me as soon as I entered because I am white. Who knows if she even sent in my passport info the Dept of State. I was trembling the whole time I was there from feeling nervous if I dared asked a question. Why are people like this allowed to work there. The service here is HORRIBLE. If you have an alternative or can wait, just wait for a different location. I came here for the first time and I would never go again. There's a lady that sits at the side desk literally on her phone doing nothing. Because I don't want to interrupt, I'm waiting on line because I don't know if she's open or on break. The male clerk then tells me I can go to her. I go to her and she says "you gotta have everything taped up ready to go." Okay no problem THEN I try to ask her a question about if she doesn't need to verify my package or anything before I do that, she says 20 more times repeatedly interrupting me "you gotta have everything taped up ready to go." Okay you don't have to have a shitty attitude. If a job makes you THAT miserable, quit. I was asking a simple question. I tell her she doesn't have to be rude and she goes "that how you're internalizing it but okay." Get better workers because honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this location gets shut down soon. Terrible Service. I came on a Sunday, and the man at the desk said my package wouldn't be shipped until the next day, Monday, which makes sense. I asked if it could still be deivered the next day, and he started yelling at me that it won't be shipped until Monday, which does not answer my question. I wanted to know if it could be shipped and delivered in the same day, but instead he just repeatedly raised his voice saying it couldn't be shipped until tomorrow. If you want to be talked to as a human being and not yelled at, take some extra time and go to another USPS location. read more

My fiancé and I had an appointment at 3:30 today for passports. Because there are two of us, each appointment is fifteen minutes long, meaning we had until 4:00. Traffic being as it is on the thruway, we arrived at 3:35. We waited on the line for a few minutes. When we got up to the window, we said we had a 3:30 appointment, apologized for being late, and explained that we had all of our paperwork ready to go. Joe, the man working there, said that there was not enough time to fill it out, and we would have to reschedule. I showed him our totally filled out forms, and he said, "I'm sorry, baby, but I'm by myself, and I can't do it now- you were more than five minutes late." We were made later by the passport appointment before ours, which had gone over their time He repeated this, along with other unsettlingly familiar and patronizing terms like, "honey," and, "sweetie," until I pointed out that in the time he wasted saying he couldn't do it, we could have gotten it done. His rationale that he was, "by myself," made no sense, as we were the only appointment in there at the time, and our scheduled appointment slot had more than half the time remaining. He spoke over me repeatedly, and when I raised my voice to be heard over his impotent protestations, he backed away and scoffed, "Oh now you gonna yell at me now." We left shortly thereafter. By far one of the worst post office I've ever been to and the staff is very aggressive they expect you to know everything and not help. These workers should be re-trained in being more generous to their customers. On more than one occasion I have seen them yell at customers. There should be a supervisor definitely look into this matter they are too aggressive. These people should be more professional. The attitude is great but waiting time is too long. We came in at 10AM with everything including filled out forms, check and photos. We were asked to wait for 30min and still waiting. It is super slow. We had to leave as our movie at 10:30 already starts. It is better we go to our local post office I guess. I was looking for a Post Office to renew (reapply) my 6 year-old's passport. Though I wouldn't normally review a Post Office, I felt it was necessary after looking at reviews of Post Offices in the Bronx all the way up along the Hudson and seeing all of the horrible reviews. I noticed this branch (located within the mall itself) had 2 great reviews and one even mentioned a passport transaction. Since we had some shopping/errands to do at the mall, we figured we would give it a shot. First good sign is that this branch was one of the three out of a total of 10 Post Offices who actually picked up the phone when I called. I printed and filled out the forms in advance and also got the passport photos done at a local pharmacy for $9, though I believe the photos can be done at the post office itself for about $15. Their passport walk-in hours during the week are noted on the USPS website as til 4 PM. I called the morning of and the woman answering the phone told me that I should get there before 3 PM, and to come as early as possible because they were short-staffed that day. I don't think I minded that given I have worked in sales before and know how it is when customers decide to come in 10 minutes before the store closes. I can imagine this being particularly annoying given passport applications can take some time, depending on how prepared (or not) the applicants are. We got there at 1:45 PM on a Friday and the place was empty. The middle circular counter deals with passports and the worker was finishing up with one person. (I thought it was great how the have a separate counter for passports) The regular post office counter was empty, which is a rare occurrence, especially as you get closer to NYC. The passport worker was kind and very direct. Although he may not have been the cheeriest of people, he was respectful and efficient. He knew what he was doing and we were prepared with all the documents and proof we needed. When we didn't have complete copies of our IDs (as parents), he was nice enough to make the copies of our passports himself. After about 10 minutes (at most) at the counter, we were done. This was one of the easiest Post Office transactions that I have had. I would highly recommend this branch for all transactions, including passport applications. I do recommend researching as much as possible and arriving prepared for whatever you need to do. The passport instructions on the USPS website are very simple. I would imagine arriving at the Post Office (any branch for that matter) prepared may have an effect on your experience there. read more

This USPS location does an excellent job managing the flow of traffic during passport submission times. It is organized and efficient. I tried to get my child a passport at 4 other local post offices and each time it was a disorganized nightmare! The Palisades mall USPS does a great job. read more

ZERO STARS: I came with my girlfriend to get her new passport. Her mother previously gave my girlfriend a set of forms to have her sign but my girlfriend had to come submit everything herself, obviously. The employee yelled at us saying we had the wrong forms and all my girlfriend said was that this was the forms they gave her mother at the other post office. He slammed her papers and older passport on the counter and yelled at us saying "Do not come back, and go to New City Post office". He told us to go to another post office out of our way because he didn't want to explain and do his job. What kind of employee sends away customers for their own disrespectful reasons. Was he automatically rude because me and my girlfriend were gay? This was the most efficient post office I've ever been to and the employees were helpful and friendly. A++ for customer service and patience. We went in with a bunch of questions and a need for expedited passports and left with all the answers and passport applications submitted. I couldn't speak more highly of the fine folks at this USPS. read more
