Reserved a storage using their website then the nightmare started. This lady calls every morning at 9-10am although I had told them about my move in date and the time I would visit. She calls next day, the day after even on the weekends. Reality of Florida business models, living in 1900s. I ended up cancelling my reservation. read more

They have 2 managers at the center.... Neal who is very personable and helpful, They have the assistant manager,.... . ... The assistant manager is there every time I've been there....... and is very hateful!.... Very rude.! !..... He was actually shouting at me!.... Shouting at me! ....... I asked for the gate code card forgetting he gave it to me the day before.......He got angry ! ......... I went in there two days in a row to go to the office...was closed while he was out. checking the premises.........! He opened the office door and said I should leave.!........... He is a very poor communicator and got angry because I couldn't understand clearly what he was saying!.....I only went to my unit after hours to avoid him............I reported him two different management levels....They never got back with me and don't care.............Secondly, they sent me notice I had to pay an additional $15 a month for coverage for possible damage that would be their fault.....plus $28 initial fee! ....This was mandatory and would automatically be added to my bill..................The ceiling panel was torn open and paw prints of some crime got in and left muddy paw prints on m car.............I was never told about the mandatory insurance before................ ..It would be automatically applied if I didn't sign some form..........The office told me one thing, the asst manager told me something else....................Horrible experience! *WARNING* Huge rent increase after only two months! I would actually like to give this place a high rating, but I just can't. I was told when I rented my unit that small price increases over time are normal - I can live with that. But after only two months, my rent increased about 168%!!!! What?? If a company starts out with a low rent to "hook you" that's business, but at least be honest with your customers about what to expect!! Just say you get a promo rate for two months and then your rent will be this; instead, it feels like we got completely misleading information. I would give a 0 star if I could. I was promised by Neil Pizzo that I would get excellent customer service and it has been anything but that. To begin with, he is never around. His partner, Martavius West is there and is not customer service oriented. When I called to inquire about why the gate is ALWAYS open, I was told that it was for the vendors. The day I moved in I was told that the gate is never open !! Neil asked me to reach out to to him for any questions or concerns and I have yet to hear back from him. ( 3 months) I started renting my unit in April and received the 50% off for 2 months then was told that the price would be around $120 monthly. Well, it is now July and I have just received a notice that my rent is being increased to $160. I only recommend that you rent here if you don't mind paying an increased amount every few months. It's a convenient area for me so I wish I could stay but not if they think it's ok to take advantage of customers who have only been there 3 months read more

I made a reservation on line and set up an ally to go see if the size I picked was going to be big enough! We were running late and so I called to push the appt for 30 min later! We walked in and Edwin recognized my voice right away! Which is always a plus, considering I only talked to him on the phone twice! Anyways Alex showed us a wonderfully located unit right away! We loved it so we got back on the golf cart, went back up to front desk and it took less than 15 mins to do all the paper work and get our storage! And one of the coolest parts was we got a discount for three months for signing up online! They have really nice storage units! I had the best experience at this location. After doing some research online based on reviews and location I decided to give them a try. Jean took care of me and gave me the best space for what I needed without hurting my pocket and he was so fast, efficient and genuinely nice! Definitely look for him! I have to say I love the lock system they have it is different than most so it's almost impossible for someone to cut it and that made me feel really safe. I did opt out for the outside area since I was using the unit for a short amount of time since I was moving and I liked the flexibility of being able to pull up my car whenever I needed something. I didn't have my unit for more than a month but if you are planning on having it longer I highly highly recommend temperature controlled ones due to it being so humid this time of year. I'm so happy I chose US storage centers and I would recommend it to anyone! read more

The storage units are clean and the property is well maintained. there is zero consistency in the operation. they have poor administrative and customer service skills. You get half the story and they listen to half your story so they can make money. My rent went up in less than ten months- about 25%. Some of the charges on the lease went up 40% during this time as well. I am new in town and now have learned to do my homework.. Things are not as they seem, especially in Orange County. My goal is to avoid being ripped off and share the savings with all of you. Renter beware. You can do better. read more

Very nice and friendly ( if you can find anyone in the office ) until you get ready to leave- I was told that as long as I gave notice I would only be required to pay the days I occupied the unit ! I actually gave a 60 day notice and was scheduled to move out in the 8th / as soon as my movers arrived they changed my gate code and put a lock on my unit until I paid the full month! I am very disappointed in the way I was treated and the fact I was lied to.. this was an unexpected cost and very upsetting. read more

I rented two large units last month. Alex was extremely helpful during the move-in process. I wasn't sure how many units I would need - he held three units for me. I appreciate his thoughtfulness in bringing me a lock for the second unit - saved me a trip to the office from the back end of the facility. I cannot give the business a 5 star because of its insurance policy - you are forced to buy a $12/mo/unit policy ($2,500 coverage) even if you have your own insurance. Other self-storage facilities I have done business with in the past did not force me to buy extra insurance once I provided proof of insurance. Not here. read more

Although I have to agree with Simon S's review regarding rental rates going up sky high when this new ownership took over, and as a renter off an on at this facility for over 15 years, it's rather high what they charge now, and 24 hr access has to be requested now, and is only granted for one 24 hr period - so good luck with that when your moving over a weekend, or any day, and need 24 hr access more than one day.
