I took time off work, brought a second person with me, and even had our family mechanic come along to inspect the vehicle. The car's A/C was not working during the test drive. That immediately raised concerns for me about the dealership's reconditioning process and the overall condition of its inventory. We also observed six separate rock-chip impact points on the front windshield, a partially worn windshield seal, and what felt like an unstable suspension during the drive. The dealership agreed to repair the A/C but refused to replace the windshield, offering only to fill the chips with resin. They had their mechanic inspected the suspension and come back saying it was good. Based on what I experienced, I decided to walk away and take my business elsewhere. In my opinion, the vehicle was not in the condition I expected, and I left with concerns about their thoroughness of the inspection and reconditioning process.

There were some questions and concerns the next day and when I tried to call him his phone was now disconnected. It took about a week for it to be in service again, but every attempt to call him thereafter just went to his voice mail with never a return call back. Then I noticed the front end paint had a different texture than the rest of the vehicle. I ran my own Car fax report and sure enough the car had been in a front end collision and that is when he picked it up at auction. He did not send home his car fax he showed me with the paperwork I received. What he obviously showed me was another Carfax not related to my car and circled the damage in the rear. Six weeks later Lamar has not registered the sale with the DMV. My calls continue to go unanswered. This guy is a scammer, stay away no matter how good the deal appears to be.

So, I drove about two hours to view a car that I was interested in. I called the morning of and cam got back to me right away to let me know that the car I was interested in was still available. He asked me when I will be arriving so that he can be ready. When there was traffic, and I hadnt arrived at the time we had agreed upon, he texted me right away to check in, and make sure everything was OK. I let him know about the traffic, and he was very understanding. he had me text him my drivers license info so that he could put me into the system and we wouldn't have to waste any time when I arrived with all of the administrative stuff that comes before a test drive. I thought that was really thoughtful action. Cam is unlike other car sales people that I've dealt with so far in the car buying process. He was very polite, not necessarily extremely knowledgeable about cars, but very knowledgeable about the work that he specifically had had done on the car. He had also had the car very beautifully detailed, cleaner looking than any dealership's pre owned cars looked. When it was time to decide whether or not I wanted to consider buying the car, cam did the opposite of pressuring me. We discussed the pros and cons that I had seen with the car and it was holding me back from jumping at the opportunity to buy it. I was Hesitant because something felt a little bit weird with the steering wheel when I test drove it. I expressed that to him and he said it's important to think about these things because it's a big investment and he wouldn't want me to feel unhappy afterwards. He made it very clear to me that there was absolutely no pressure. I did not try and use any sales tactics to get me to feel pressure. Overall very polite and pleasant experience.
