We bought a used car from this dealer. There were several issues we pointed out during the test drive. 1) The brakes take a lot of pressure to make a good safe stop. 2) The radio antenna was not going up when the radio was turned on. The sales rep, Cody, said "the radio is working, you're listening to it (it was tuned to a local station). He basically said an older car like this will have some small issues, and the car was being sold "As Is". 2 days later, they called us. They had missed having us sign the "As Is" document. They sent it to us to have us sign and return it. It arrived after we took the car to a mechanic. We took the car to a trusted mechanic and he said: The battery is weak and should be replaced immediately. The front brakes have about 25% life left, the rear brakes have about 50% life left. The motor on the antenna is dead and needs to be replaced. We went back to the dealership, an hour's drive from Stockton. We asked them to repair the antenna motor, as with the antenna down we could only receive 3 FM stations and no AM stations. We mentioned the problems with the battery and the front brakes. They refused to fix anything and demanded we sign the "As Is" document. They tried to demand the car back, which would have left us stranded 50 miles from home. After I said I would post a note on the internet, the manager threatened that he would "come after" me legally. That just put more fuel the fire building in me, and I told hem straight up that playing hard ass is what I expected him to try. I slammed my fist on the desk and told him that he wasn't even offering to meet me part way. At that point he got even more defensive, but must have thought better of it. He offered to give us $60-80 for us to buy a new battery, when the battery in the car died (as it would have soon). Instead we finally bargained for him to replace the battery with a new one. We followed the sales rep to a nearby auto parts store and he bought and installed a new battery in the car. We asked for a copy of the receipt, for the battery's warranty. The cost of the new battery with taxes and recycling fee was @102.95. I recommend that BEFORE you buy a used car from these guys that you have a mechanic look it over. read more

This might be the only diamond im the ruff . The mythical unicorn. Everyone was welcoming and nice. I went there 3 times shopping for a suv for my wife and our growing family. Each time they were polite easy going. Above all else patient. I am very particular and I took 2 days looking at 40 different vehicles in over 5 cities in the bay area eveywhere else had torn dash boards ripped seats damaged cars, leaking fluids i was loosing hope at finding a good car under 10 grand.... when i went to Sacramento a 2nd time and stopped here.... I live on the coast minutes away from bodega bay so this was not a small trip to make. I was sleep deprived and missed a few minor things I called they were gracious and understanding. They took care of everything. Just a tire sensor and the sunroof was wiggling in the high winds that friday. Sunny Sal and Moe were very helpful . Im not sure of the other person's name who helped me but i will update this when I do. The best and worst part of my story is i lost my wallet while test driving several cars and when i called they rushed out searched and then searched again and they found it! Im going back out to collect it in a day or two. All things said and done I am Greatful to them all. This car was for my wife when I get a new car for me there is no hesitation I Will be returning to purchase another car. They honored their word they treated me right even in a panicked sleep deprived state they let me choose they didnt push anything on me. I fully recommend them they have the best cars and the best service I have ever seen at a car dealership. I went to many most only had 1 RX THEY HAD 3. Do your research know what you want and these guys will make it easy even for someone like me who was road weary and sleep deprived. I have given many good and bad reviews on yelp I'm fair and honest and so are they. THIS IS RARE! I found my car dealership from now on. I fully recommend you go here Frist dont drive 400 miles looking at 40 other cars at 20 or more other dealerships like I did. Just goto Kareems Auto. Well worth the 2 to 3 hour drive! Karreem auto sales was wonderful in every regard! We drove to Sacramento from Fort Bragg to check out a Toyota Sequoia that was listed from a different dealer,...thankfully we had also included a Sequoia offered by Kareem Auto Sales on our list of vehicles to check out while in Sacramento. Pulled into Kareem's lot and instantly fell in love with their Sequoia. The office's at Kareem are extremely clean and inviting, the employees were all wonderful from that of the office manager, secretaries, and our extremely pleasant salesman, Al. Al was in mid-transaction with another customer when we arrived, he greeted us, and in so doing took note of my interest in the Sequoia, the next time Al passed by he smiled as he tossed me the keys, absolutely no pressure whatsoever. I didn't even attempt to negotiate the price, I'm confident that Al would have offered us a slight break in asking price had we asked, but I didn't bother in that I felt that Kareem's asking price was more than fair. The entire transaction/signing documents took less than an hours time, at the end of which, the transaction,...we asked Al if he knew of someone that could tow our Ford F-150 back to Fort Bragg in that we wanted to enjoy the trip back to Fort Bragg in the new Sequoia. Within a minutes time Al had us hooked up with a wonderful guy name Milo - being that it was such short notice it was agreed that our F150 would be left on the Kareem car lot till the end of the week at which time Milo would pick up our truck and deliver it to our home in Fort Bragg via his flatbed tow truck. I didn't even bother to call Al, sure enough at weeks end, woke up Saturday morning at 6:30 ish to the sounds of Milo delivering our truck with extreme care. Anyway, in closing I'm happy to share that we've had the Sequoia for just about a month's time now, made a few trips in it and am happy to share that it performs as expected. Love the Sequoia, and the memories of the acquisition of it are extremely pleasant thanks to the staff at Kareem Auto Sales. Nice people here, made buying a car painless. Sunny was patient, very polite and efficient with the paperwork despite me distracting him with jokes. Like all dealerships, you must really know what you are doing and looking for when buying a car, just because its on a lot and they say they've "inspected it" and or it "passed inspection" does not mean that there is nothing wrong with the car, be vigilant and ASK QUESTIONS and do not assume everything is ok, these people aren't mind readers. Look and inspect EVERYTHING, including all options and listen to the car and drive it hard to test for issues. If you know nothing about cars, then bring somebody with you, if you don't, that's your problem. Treat these people with respect and you should have a great buying experience. I'd like to note that I've literally read every negative review and found most to be fictitious or non-credible, several that should be deleted because they violate Yelp's terms and conditions and or content guidelines. If you think this dealership is bad, you obviously have no buying experience and your expectations are absurd, these people are here to make money, its that simple, not to cut their throats on already reduced vehicles, yes, I did my homework, their prices are good on most vehicles. Some people cannot be pleased no matter what you do for them, while they offer the dealer very little and expect the red carpet treatment, come with cash and good credit and don't waste their time with nonsense because time is money. What really gets me are the irresponsible reviews praising the dealer while giving them less than mediocre stars, ridiculous. Of course they are going to call you and ask you remove negative reviews, especially when you willfully defame them with no factual evidence to support your claim while you hide behind your keyboard and ignore their communications because you don't have the balls to take their calls. This is my second yelp review ever....very deserving. Five Stars! Al at Kareem Auto really went above and beyond to help finance a car for us. We already had a deal approved at another location for a 2011 V4 base model, but really didn't love it. We decided to give Kareems's another try (we purcahsed a vehicle from them previously) We found the same model at Kareem's, a 2012 upgraded V6 with leather seats, push start, sirius, all that stuff, for a little less. The carfax showed the illusive one owner and maintenance records. We fell in love with it right away. It had about 10,000 more miles, but that was ok. Al got us better financing terms with a lower down payment. Now, it took some work, a few days. He helped us correct a credit issue that was being reported wrong. Skeptical (I'm sure he hears that all day long) but he told us what to do to get proof the bank would accept. Al stuck with us. We got the necessary documents to Al and he presented them to the bank, on his day off I might add. Al contacted us to say we were at the finish line, the deal is done. Al was professional and fun. He returned phone and text messages usually the same day. Thank you Al! The day we picked up our car, Al was off. "D" stepped right in and completed the sale. Seamless! Thank you "D" On top of all of that, the day after we picked up the car, I was driving and a gentleman asked me how much we paid, and on the spot he offered to buy our car for $1,000 more.... My experience...ok. I went to kareem auto sales in SAC ROT MENTO TO find a Mercedes ml 500. The sales boy, kept trying to push me to a Land Rover, WHICH I DIDN'T WANT!!! We decided to test drive a BMW x5. The sales boy went on and on about how they have 3rd party mechanics certify the vehicle and they thoroughly look over everything! He went on and on. As soon as we got in the car, i turned on the air conditioning because it was about 103 degrees in Sac rot mento. Gee, guess what, NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! IMAGINE THAT!!! I WAS PRETTY DISAPPOINTED AT THE CLAIM OF THEIR 3RD PARTY MECHANIC CERTIFICATION!!! AS SOON AS WE LEFT THE LOT, THE RIGHT REAR WINDOW BROKE. HMMMMMM, STIKE 2! Im done, don't want to give them a strike 3. After all, they're USED CAR SALESMEN. Only 1 step above a lawyer. Well, it went from bad to worse. They would't give me my license back after the test drive, and 5 goons lined up around me and my 16 yr old son. They told me to leave. See the picture of the sheriff car. I had to call the sheriff and get them involved!!! Not only did they waste my day, they taught my son the realities of dealing with a USED CAR SALES GOON!!! NO MORALES, NO STANDARDS, NO TRUTH AND NO SHAME. They are shysters, crooks, losers, low end low life morons and don't give a shit about your satisfaction or your safety. It's all about cheating you into buying a lemon they buy at auction and baiting you into the crap they sell. We had no intention of buying from a smaller dealership. We were walking past Kareems from another dealership on our way to the car to drive out to Carmax. My wife suggested that we stop in and compare prices. We had done our research on the internet as to what kind of cars/prices/mileage that we wanted and had somehow missed Kareem's site. Before we could look at any of their selection, we were approached by Mike who I was very suspicious of. "This guy seems too real to be selling us a car. That's got to be a bad sign." I thought. Well he was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We looked around for about half an hour and found a van that fit our requirements. We went for a test drive. There was no talk of, "What can I do for you to get your business today?" He was interested in our needs but not intrusive. The car was great and we wanted to think about it. We had to go run an errand and so we said we would think about it. Mike was cool with that and gave us his card. We realized that this deal was as good, if not better than the other cars on our list; so, after dinner we went back to start the paperwork. That only took an hour more. From the time we walked on the lot the whole transaction took about 2.5 hours. My only complaints are these: * Mike needs a dinner break. The poor guy was so busy helping us, he didn't get to eat unit after 9. Apparently this is a common practice. * There are too many cars and it makes it difficult for two-way traffic coming into your lot off of Fulton. You guys need to expand! * I know I looked dorky in our post-sale photo, so I understand why it wasn't posted on social media. Nevertheless, we feel a bit left out. We love our car and will recommend your dealership. read more

Sunny made the rainy day shine. I bought an H2 Hummer which I thought I would never ever buy. Sunny was an open book. When buying a used car from a non-brand name/franchise lot, I know I'm taking a risk. These facilities typically don't have a service department and understood that it's a crap shoot. The day that I took this car for a spin it poured cats and dogs and was a perfect day for a test drive, specially to make sure there were no leaks or anything. So we got all signed up, drove off (it was a Sunday), and was going good, Until it didn't. A few hours later, the rear passenger window stopped operating (found out about a bad regulator a few hours later). Texted Sunny and emailed the dealership that same evening. The next morning I received a text from Sunny apologizing for this inconvenience. Long story short, 2 weeks later, they repaired the issue with a new regulator. Take this: This was an as is purchase and I signed and left the lot and could've been stuck w/ this issue myself. Kareem, Sunny and the whole team truly were there for me to ensure me they'll take care of it. These types of dealerships will sometime have a bad rap. You do get what you pay for. What I appreciated w/ Kareem, Sunny and the team is that they took care of me. I still say buyer beware. Always do your research. But 5 stars for going above and beyond. I love the H2 (not the MPG, but I expected that), it's my boss's car (wife), and I get to borrow it. Sunny is a good guy. But if everybody of the team reflects his honesty, then you have a golden partner in the used car industry. For the last month I've been hunting for an older Toyota Tacoma with low miles, in immaculate condition and it had to be bone-stock (no aftermarket modifications). My requirements narrowed down my search results to practically zero, so I knew would take time to find the right truck to put into my garage. Last week my hunt ended when I stumbled upon a Tacoma at Kareem Auto Sales' website. I gave them a call and asked if it was still available, they said "yes" and I told them I'd be right there. I met Al and he gave me the keys to the truck to test drive. Afterwards, I asked for the inspection report, Carfax, etc and Al was more than willing to comply. Everything came out clean and the price was right. I even went under the car to check the frame for rust/leaks/etc and I couldn't find anything. We were ready to pull the trigger. When it came time to purchase the truck, Ricky closed the deal for us. He was a nice guy and we just chat the entire time as we filled out our paperwork. Nobody pulled any "aggressive" tactics and we drove home with the new truck in about an hour. I think what really sets Kareem Auto Sales apart from other used car dealerships is that they set up a low-pressure environment, similar to Carmax. Most of their prices aren't really haggle-able (like Carmax), but they are competitive (much more than Carmax). I didn't get the impression at all that they were trying to corner me into anything and the upsells I declined weren't questioned. My experience was that they were very honest and compliant, definitely something you want from a dealership. I'd first consider buying my next car through them. read more

Had a great experience at Kareem Auto Sales! There weren't too many lots that had the MDX I was looking for, but I took a chance here and everything went perfectly. I called the night before to ask if they still had the car I saw online, he said they did. I showed up the next morning when they opened, test drove it and bought the car. I was in and out. The salesman had a "no-pressure" kind of approach which I loved. Talking to him was more like having a conversation about the car than it was pressure-fest to get me to buy it. Being a girl I always worry about pushy male salesman trying to get one over on me and that just didn't happen here. Not on the lot and not in the office doing the paperwork. "D" you are awesome. What I loved was that they took my concerns seriously. This particular car was missing one headrest, which was kind of a deal-breaker for me, but they actually ordered the missing headrest for me without hesitation. At another lot I went to before, the MDX was also missing TWO headrests, which I told them was a concern for me and they just basically told me too bad, so sad. So I didn't buy from there. At Kareem it was a concern for me, so it was a concern for them. Period. Now that's the way you stand behind a car on your lot! They may not be a "huge lot" like the ones in auto malls, but they got something special there where they actually care about your concerns and getting you in the right car. I just purchased an 2013 Audi A4 from Sunny here at Kareem Auto Sales and I have to say that I am extremely pleased with the entire transaction. First of all, the staff were all very kind and attentive. I wanted to trade in a 2013 Hyundai Tuscon that was paid off so I did the research on values and I should have been able to get anywhere between 7250 and 9200. I walked in and asked for 8500. They took it for a spin and offered me 8200 which is brilliant! Sunny hooked me up with a 3 year warranty on top of their 30 day or 3000 mile warranty for a mere $25 extra a month. Basically, I pay a $100 deductible at an Audi dealership and they have to fix the issue. Thanks Sunny!!!!! Now to the car. Do your research on the automobile you are looking to purchase in general. Do they end up in the shop a lot? Are they expensive to maintain? Review the Carfax in detail. Kareem Auto will go over the Carfax with you as well but it's good to know what you are getting into in the first place. I highly recommend paying for the warranty on any used car purchase in case something goes wrong. Remember, you're buying a used car. This car is exactly as billed on their website. I have back and neck issues so I wanted to make sure it was comfortable over a 10-20 minute period of driving. Sunny let me take the car out for almost 20 minutes and really get a feel for it. I don't normally review anything but this was the best car buying experience I've ever been a part of and I used to sell cars for 3 years. I walked on right at closing time and Kareem came out to help us. I was looking for a specific car that I had seen online and the lot was amazingly organized with an incredible selection so he knew right where it was at. I told him my situation and that I wasn't buying a car that night but he still took the time to show us the car without any pressure to buy and said that if I wanted the car I could just apply online and he would try to get me approved the next day. I agreed and submitted an application and he was able to get me approved with a good national bank at a rate that was comparable to one that the major dealership was able offer me. When I called him the next day and told him that I wanted to come and check out the car he drove with us on the test drive and never once tried to pressure me into buying it. I got a similar deal offered to me by one of the major dealerships down the road but came back to buy from him. Not only did he give me a better deal than the other dealerships that I had been to but it was incredibly easy and fast, no pressure, good deal, good rate, and a cool guy that didn't fit the car guy bill at all. I will never let anybody mention that they need a car without telling them to go to Kareem's first. read more

Kareem was GREAT to work with on our purchase of a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited! We had searched for months for the right one for us to take off road and when one was listed on Kareem's website we immediately contacted them. We live out of the area so they graciously agreed to send us pictures of parts we needed a closer look at (undercarriage, sway bar, shocks, etc). Once we decided we needed to go take a look (we live 90 minutes away) Kareem offered to put a hold on the vehicle to make sure no one bought it while we were on our way. We were on the lot with this vehicle for 3 hours from arriving, test driving, crawling underneath to check all the after market enhancements, and working out all the paperwork. Ricky and Mo were GREAT and super patient with us. They did NOT rush us at all, even when it got close to closing time. Before my husband and I got to the lot I had already read reviews about Kareem's, vetted them via the BBB, I pulled the Carfax on this vehicle, and I even plugged in the VIN to have an exact idea of insurance and registration. We knew we were buying a used car so we wanted to make sure we did it right and the staff, particularly Ricky and Mo, made it a great experience! I actually took the time to read the other yelp reviews about Kareem befire posting this. Pretty suprised by the negative feedback. Mike from Kareem auto sales made buying a car a damn good experience. From my first stop at Kareem I knew vaugely what I wanted but I was open to other ideas. Some asshole rear ended my perfectly good passat and totaled it and I was still pretty soured by the experience. Mike took the initiative to show me all the VW models they had available and even listened to me piss an moan for a bit. Pretty great customer service I think. Im not a haggler. I know what I want and I research the cost. If its too much for me I walk. Some people think that they can wheel and deal with dealers but that is not always the case. To the people that post on here complaining Kareem wouldnt drop the $$$ get real. Its a business. Its not ebay or craigslist. Its a dealership. If you think you can find it for less money elsewhere then go do that. All the staff was really friendly. When I had my daughter with me all the workers and mechanics waved to her and said hello. Big plus for me when people are kind to my baby girl. Big plus when the sales man talks to me about my purchase and not the boyfriend. Overall great experience. I love my car! So this place was the only good car buying experience iv ever had. I walked up one day with my eyes set on this nice little Nissan Maxima that had all the bells and whistles I was looking for. I had bad credit, a recent repo, I'm very young, and I had a co signer with perfect credit. I explained this weird situation to ANGELO and from the gate he was honest with me. He was also very professional, put literally no pressure on me or my co-signer, and dealt with my co-signers attitude, who is a little anal about things (for obvious reasons). I went all up and down Fulton Avenue to buy a car and it was just one sketchy place after another. Everyone trying to sell me bad cars. Everyone treating me like I was stupid because I'm a woman (little do they know I'm a mechanic). I would hear obvious problems with the transmission and they would act like I was crazy for wanting to bring a mechanic out to run a diagnostic. Or they would chain smoke cigarettes and spit on the ground right in front of me. Anyways, long story short I took a while to leave this review because I wanted to have the car for a while to make sure it ran right before giving a five star. This car was true to its car fax, runs like a beauty and my experience with Angelo was so awesome I'll never go anywhere else. Such a good company. Would recommend to anyone and everyone read more

I purchased a 2009 Honda Civic Ex 2D Coupe a few days ago. I've been getting a lot of compliments from my friends, family and coworkers. Thanks, Kareem Auto Sales! It took a couple days for me to get the car because we went on a sunday, which means the bank is close. Therefore, I didn't get my result until the next day. I was sure that golden one will approve my application to get a car loan, but I was wrong. My credit is good and I have money on my savings, but I got declined because I'm working on my current job for only 6 months. Thanks to Mike, he contacted another bank that is able to give me a loan for my car. The process of getting this car felt so slow because I have been looking for a while and when I found the one I really liked, I couldn't wait to take it home. But I was patient and Mike kept me updated. He's very, very helpful and until now I call him when I have any questions about my car. I definitely recommend Kareem Auto Sales. The way I did it was I looked for a car that I like on their website. Instead of calling them if it's available, me and my boyfriend went to go see it in person. When I saw that it was available, we went for a test drive and we've decided that we wanted it. Now, I'm very happy that I have a car to drive to work and school!!
