And a friend had recommended Green development. The day finally came when I could commit to the project, so I called Dana for an estimate. I was assigned to work with Liroy . Because of the substantial money involved and having never done this before, I had lots of questions and concerns. He patiently answered my questions and addressed my concerns -- sometimes more than once! No doubt I was a nervous consumer. I signed the contract and the wait began. But finally I got the call that the customized doors and windows were ready to install. Then Joe and Pacheco arrived to begin work. What skillful, knowledgeable, competent, and considerate workers! They worked methodically and steadily. They came across a few problems but in every case resolved them and the windows and doors fit perfectly. And they covered furniture and belongings with plastic and swept and vacuumed after completing each window, door, or room. The result is beautiful. And of course secure. If I can give them negative stars I would. HORRIBLE experience in every single way. Not only did we pay a premium $$ for our windows but it took them over 10 months to install our windows (correctly). Numerous times they had the wrong sizes or couldn't find the windows. It was a MESS from day one. The first time they came they took out windows without checking the ones they had ordered fit and then left our sons room unsecured with two wood panels and a huge gap in between for over a MONTH!!!! Then they finally replaced it with more wood panels which we had for another three months!!!!!! One time the installers didn't show up till 5pm on a Friday night and left well after 9pm!!! They also replaced windows that were the wrong tint with windows the same wrong tint and damaged (very obvious bubbles). When asked what they would do about it the answer was nothing!!!! Still have the damaged windows in place. They would leave a mess after each time the installers would come and unfortunately it was many times. They would also call us a day before the installers were due to come every. Single. Time. They still owe us a few things and no longer answer our calls or texts. It was such a horrible experience I truly wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Unprofessional from the top to the bottom, they act as if they're doing you a favor. This was a really awful experience, that ultimately resulted in me getting a bathroom renovated and hurricane impact windows installed but it was a very painful and four-month long process for my Miami home. I was initially assigned a contractor who walked me through the entire process of what the renovation would look like. However, when they company fired the previous project manager, they decided they wanted to fire him too since they are friends. The issue is that they never notified this man, and he was calling me to show up for the job while the company had sent other people to work on the job. The lack of professionalism in not having the difficult conversation for someone who worked for the company for 6 years and was being let go by the customer was horrifying. Additionally, the previous contactor was waiting on a vanity so that he could figure out how to make it fit without there being a gap. The new project manager wanted to rush the work and pushed the new contractor to hurry up and get the job done in a subpar way. They had me order a different vanity and when that vanity arrived, I told them that the vanity was a different vanity. The project manager wanted to argue with me that the vanity was exact the same as the picture, despite me sending pictures with circling all the ways it was a completely different vanity. He tried to get the sales person to call and convince me to just keep the vanity since they didnt think they could return it, but it was a different vanity, why would you push me to keep it???!!! Rushing the job without the integrity of making sure the work is done well. They didn't put any support behind the wall where the mirrors went so, they couldn't fix the mirrors when they were incorrectly measured because they had no support to the drywall. No support behind the wall where the shelves went, so again correcting mistakes were difficult since there was no support in the wall. They ended up closing the gap between the wall and the vanity with just filling it with drywall instead of extending out the wall to make it look better. And don't get me started on the mess! When they installed the windows, they covered everything and did a great job on the first day to keep my house in good condition. The bathroom work resulted in such a MESS! Dust from drywall is ALL OVER MY HOME. every item, my workstation etc, there was no consideration for the mess the work makes to the disruption of the rest of my home and I am still wiping item by item to get my things put away. In this process, you are financing and therefore overpaying GROSSLY do NOT DO IT!! they will charge you MORE THAN ANY OTHER OPTION only to try to cut corners with the work to increase their profits. We just got solar installed on our home with Florida Green Development . The whole process leading up to installation was efficient and professional. However, the installation process was quite the opposite. I took the day off for installation but unfortunately the job did not get finished and they scheduled to return later in the week. And they did ! All in all I am very happy with the results. My roof is unique (aluminum shingles) and presented a challenge for installers. FL Development met the challenge with some engineering. Liroy with FL Green Development provides amazing service. I have had my system for 13 years, and when my inverter started having problems I contacted FL Development for help. At that time to my Fronius equipment was still under warranty. Liroy scheduled an appointment to service the system and arrived promptly. After troubleshooting the issue he worked directly with Fronius to order the required replacement parts. Then returned to install them when they arrived. The system was back up and running promptly, and didn't cost me anything. Liroy was very professional. He graciously took time to explain the issues and answered all my question. Then over more years as the inverter aged, he again solved whatever problem came up. When the time came that I had to replace the old inverter, I again contacted Liroy and had him upgrade the system to the latest technology. Now I have a new inverter with a new warranty, and can monitor the system through the web and a phone app. I highly recommend FL Green Development for any service or repair needs you have. My review is a bit different... I already got solar approximately 7 years ago (from a different company). Much to my surprise, after a few years, the system wasn't working well, so I called the company only to find out that they closed down and are out of business. I wasn't called, emailed, or sent a letter. They just closed and left me with a broken system and no one to service it. Just to add, this system had a warranty, but because the company closed, that warranty was void. As you can imagine, this was super frustrating and shocking to learn. I started having high bills again. I met with multiple solar companies trying to figure out how to fix my unique situation. Every single solar company that came to my house pushed me to throw away the old system and replace it completely with a new one (from their company, of course), which is quite costly! Then finally, I got in touch with FL Green Development. Thank God I did. Liroy came by and took a quick look at the system. He offered a system check up by one of their engineers to try and fix the existing system before exploring other options, and they DID! They fixed my existing system and helped me install an additional system to help me avoid electrical bills when charging our electrical vehicles. This company deserves a little shout out. FL Green Development is simply the best! They were very knowledgeable, easy to work with (answering my million and one questions), and competitively priced. I did a ton of research and they truly offered the best system at a very fair price. They also made the entire process easy from start to finish. After working with them I got the feeling that they had my best interests in mind. Without even asking, FL Green Development designed an array that would be efficient and aesthetically pleasing. As much as I love the idea of solar, I was a little worried that the panels would stick out like a sore thumb. I couldn't have been more wrong. They explained some of the features that make them unique and it was stuff I would not have even thought of. For example, they ran all of the wiring so that it was hidden as opposed to running it across the roof. They explained that this was more difficult and took more time, but that it was important to them that the finished product looked great. They also offer a 10 year Production Guarantee which means that when they estimated the return on my system if it ever falls short of what they say it'll produce, they will pay us back for any shortages on production. My system went online mid-July 2020 after much anticipation. In the months prior, I researched extensively, interviewed existing panel owners, and requested bids from 4 companies. Despite very aggressive marketing and high-pressure tactics from at least two of the four companies, we chose FL Green Development due to their clear presentation, conservative estimates, willingness to answers our questions, and attentiveness to our needs. We installed panels, microinverters, and added 2 Tesla walls. We agreed to trim trees on the west side but decided upon their recommendations to wait on additional tree trimming. I was gratified and relieved with the energy production from day 1. It has been sufficient to power 80% of our energy needs in a 2400 sq ft home. Despite many recent cloudy and rainy days, we even send power back to the grid most days.
