we were booked onto the DC at dusk tour in the small open top vehicle on July 8, 2023. when our driver/ guide failed to show , we were moved to a full size regular tour bus. we were promised a refund for the difference in cost but that refund has yet to show up on my credit card statement . the single tour guide was overwhelmed by the 50 or so guests. she had no light to help keep track of her as other guides did. several guests got selected from the group in the dark. she had no voice amplification as other guides did. Booked a DC monuments tour with this company 3 weeks prior to the tour date. A representative calls me 23 hours prior to the trip to say they were unable to obtain the tickets to the monuments. I had to scramble to find tickets for 6 people for a comparable tour. I could understand if I booked the this tour the day prior but how do you not do your diligence when the tour is booked 3 weeks in advance. Unacceptable. read more

I spent the evening with Nick! It was a wonderful tour with very little know and well known facts about the history of Washington DC and all it has to offer. Do the twilight tour. No, I'm serious. Do not take the daytime tour. I'm sure it's great but the nighttime tour is where it's at. Mary was our tour guide, Russell was our driver. The two of them made this a fantastic tour that lasted from 7-10PM. You board a small bus and are taken around to most of the must see spots in DC. Everything in DC is even more beautiful once the sun goes down. Mary shared plenty of information with us regarding each spot we visited. Certain spots we were allowed more time to explore as long as we were back at the bus by a set time. There are plenty of photos ops along this tour so make sure your phone or camera is fully charged prior to departing. There is also a bit of walking (even with the bus) so wear comfortable shoes. This tour was essentially perfect. Our tour guide Nick was incredibly informative while keeping the tour fun and lighthearted. The driver Theo did a great job as well. We came out of the day feeling like we got our money's worth, plus more. Only piece of feedback would be to remove the boat ride part of the tour. It was a bit repetitive (Nick had essentially covered everything that we saw on the boat tour) and not really worth it. I think it would be completely fine to cut the tour to 5 hours and remove the boat piece of it. Regardless of that, this was still a 5 star experience. read more

We have young children and thought booking a bus tour would be a great way to take in all the major sites but also keep things moving quickly enough so they would not get bored. First, the shuttle was phenomenal- very clean, comfortable seats and great air conditioning. Our tour was on an unseasonably warm day in late May of 92 degrees and high humidity so the comfort of the shuttle was much appreciated. Our tour guide Cassie was also very knowledgeable and fun- kept things going if we were stuck in traffic with area and presidential fun facts. The tour hits up all the major sites and ours included an hour boat ride out on the Potomac which was a nice addition (although other options available). My only complaint is some of the stops were rushed. For example, the WWII was scheduled for 15 minutes but this was also to include a bathroom break. I had something like 8 minutes to enjoy the memorial after making a trip to the restrooms. Know that you may feel some stops are a little quick but otherwise a great tour option for DC! read more

Tour guide, Thomas, was terrible. We were hurried through the monuments only to finish 30 min early from what was supposed to be a 3 hour tour. We found ourselves standing by tour guides of other groups just so we could learn something about each monument because our tour guide barely spoke. $336 is a lot to pay for a "tour guided" tour to not get the experience you pay for. Joey was our tour guide who had a less enthused attitude for the tour. I understand sarcasim and dry sense of humor, but this wasn't just that. Joey didn't bring the interest to the tour and had a few select attendees that she gave her attention to. We have attended many tours before and this one was our least favorite. We could have spent less money for a self guided tour or the same amount for a different company. Very disappointing especially since we had children with us and it was their first time in DC. read more

Beware that you could be placed in the covered section of the vehicle where the windows are tinted and you can't see anything. We booked an open top vehicle but unfortunately that didn't happen and we even arrived 20 minutes early as asked. I was hoping the driver would ask folks to rotate and let us sit in the open area at least one time during our trip but that didn't happen either. The driver was very knowledgeable and gave great information about the sites we visited but you don't get much time at each site. Next time I come I'm going to book with a different company, 395.00 was a lot money to pay for a tour that doesn't disclose that you might be seated inside the van with tinted windows and not the open roof section that you paid for. I feel like I need to be reimbursed something for false advertising. The tour was wonderful. If I had to give any criticism I would say we did eat lunch close to 2:15. It's not a big deal but with the kids or if you have any need to eat at a certain time this might be an issue. We visited the capitol first thing and no food or drink is allowed. So you can't pack a banana or anything for a snack. We did hear someone say that if you do have food for medical needs they'll let you in. I don't know. That is absolutely the only thing critical I can say. The tour was great. we took enough time at each spot for restroom breaks and pictures. Our tour guides Paul and Nick were awesome. Super knowledgeable and hilarious. They kept your attention and explained a lot of the building as we traveled. Great experience!!! read more

Did a DC highlights tour with them in their convertible van and it was awesome! Deon was our guide and he did a great job sharing information that was unique and interesting. The tour was the perfect amount of time and the ride was super comfortable. The fact that it was a convertible van made it a small and intimate tour while still having the perk of having an open top to really get to enjoy the weather and the views. We loved our tour with Dion (Tour Guide) + Curtis (Driver). Our group had the best time with them and many of us said that this is the best tour they ever had, hands down. Dion has genuine excitement and deep, deep knowledge about US history and all the sites. However, it was never boring because he has such an amazing personality and unique storytelling ability. It felt like a re-telling of US History that we have never heard before. Although it was a lot of walking, he kept us entertained and engaged and knew when to get the right photo. We had a great 6 hour tour of Washington Mall area and attractions, Yusef was an excellent driver; courteous, friendly and professional- making sure we safely entered and exited bus at all times as well as capably handling traffic around the Mall. Nick was our tour guide who imparted highlights of all the attractions and also imparted funny facts to keep us all interested. He was professional yet relaxed and did his job well. He made sure we kept on time and the lunch area he took us to was beautiful area in Georgetown, not busy but with many restaurant choices and was a relaxing break from all tourists around the Mall. Food was great! Our bus was comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were lucky enough to inquire about the tour through our hotel like 20 minutes before normally scheduled pick up time. The price was not bad and our 2 year old was free. We were picked up in a tour bus at our hotel in Alexandria, VA. We then drove to 2 locations in DC to pick up more passengers. The tour officially got underway at 7:30. The tour had overhead storage and enough room for my 2 year old's stroller. Our tour guide was Joey. She had a lot of information to share while driving to each location and while at each location. You drove to an attraction. had 10-20 minutes to go see it, then back to the bus. She even pointed out buildings along the right between attractions. Joey kept a flashing colorful kids toy light so she'd be easy to spot. It started to rain shortly before starting the tour and they supplied ponchos for free. We visited all of the war memorials, the Jefferson, the Lincoln, MLK, and for a view of the White House. Along the way you got plenty of views of the Washington Monument and several museums and historical buildings from the outside. Last sight was Capitol Hill. The tour ended around 10:30 if I remember correctly and then the tour bus drops you off where you were picked up. It was very convenient. We had a great time and we enjoyed Joey the tour guide. Also seeing as this was our first trip to DC, the fact that we did this the night we arrived gave us a feel for where everything is and how to plan our next few days accordingly. read more
