Next day came and Mike called saying that he could be there by 2pm, which was even better. Turns out all we needed was a new capacitor and he had part in truck. Mike is very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen as well explain what needs to be done to fix the issue. From my first interaction I was impressed. I submitted a request via their website and it was responded to later in the same day. I was actually expecting to get blown off as I had already tried two other "local" roofing contractors who were "not taking on any new repair customers". If I wanted a whole new roof they would have time for me. I had a new bathroom built two years ago and that contractor put 4 new pipes up through my roof. He obviously wasn't a professional roofer and did not sub this part of the job out to one. Unfortunately the mods he made were leaking. I could not afford to go cheap with this fix. I wanted a real pro and someone with a solid rep. I found one with RR. I have also been burned with contractors asking for big deposits and then either taking forever to show up of walking with my money. Jesse was straight from the start. He did not even ask for a deposit for this "small" job. He guaranteed his work for 10 years. All this was still not enough for my wife who insisted I get references and thoroughly vet RR. I looked them up on the BBB and they were rated an A+. They have been on the BBB site for over 3 years and had 0 complaints. They also have been in business for 14 years. In addition, my husband and I had a little bit of an emergency situation on our hands due to an impending heat wave, and needed to figure out a solve for our problem quickly. (This I know, was our bad in not preparing better. We take full responsibility!) I put out a request on Yelp on a Wednesday afternoon to all listed handyperson services and emailed another 6 or so companies listed on Google. Most of companies I pinged did not respond at all, and the smattering that did said they were booked through October. Thank my lucky stars, though, Joe called me back within the hour and said he'd come by between 4:30 and 5pm to take a look-WHICH HE DID! Off to a good start and it just kept getting better! I walked him through the challenge at hand: we needed to install an air conditioner in our garage, but we only had one janky window to work with that didn't fit the most narrow window unit, a standup unit didn't cool the space, and we didn't really want to lose use of the window entirely. Joe jumped right in and suggested a quick, flexible, and affordable solution: build an insulated window box so we can easily install and remove the AC seasonally and maintain the insulation that we need during the colder months. Genius! Not only was his idea a good one that checked all boxes, he presented his ideas clearly, answered all my questions thoroughly, and didn't pander to my very unimpressive knowledge of construction in general. Joe sent me an estimate via email the next morning, I approved it immediately, he showed up to do the work that very afternoon, and he was finished with the work by 5pm! MAGIC.
