I called for an appt. "Just walk in". I don't think they take appointments. Craziness of people running around back and forth, seemed very disorganized. Sat with my feet in a manicure for 20 min. No, sorry we became busy. Pedicure was ok. Nothing to write to support you to patronize. Nail color is on cardboard - they just pointed to pick out - where?? They showed me the gel colors- sorry I'm not getting that- this was the person who asked me what I wanted ! More expensive than north Jersey and the quickest I've ever had once the woman started. Looking for a new nail salon since moving to South Jersey. Called and made appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure. Told on the phone appointments not necessary, walk in welcome. I stated I prefer appointment. Arrived, plenty of parking. Salon was busy, lots of clients. Thought to myself, ok good sign so far. Greeted at the desk. Instructed to wash my hands and pick a color. No other guidance. I walked into salon, looking for a sink. Sink located halfway into the salon. I didn't see any nail color bottles. So I had to go to the front desk and ask where are the nail colors. Directed to the nail color books on a shelf by the entrance. Picked my color, was seated at a station. Shortly afterwards, asked to move to another station. Manicurist I specifically requested she focus on my cuticles. Manicure took maybe 10 minutes. Proceed to pedicure. Toe nails looked good, even though I still had some rough skin patches on the soles of my feet. I looked at my finger nails and disappointed. My nails and hands shouldn't look like immediately after a manicure. Went to drying station for a few minutes. Went to pay, I was asked for my tickets. I wasn't given tickets. Cashier has to go to manicurists to get tickets. Appointment was for 2pm and paid by 2:34pm on receipt. The actual time was about 2:45pm. Expensive manicure that looked horrible. I asked for regular manicure and pedicure- charged for upgraded nail service. Nothing upgraded about my manicure, I would say the exact opposite, definite downgrade. As a first time client, a little bit more guidance on where the sink and colors are. Manicure needs to be done properly. My finger nails already chips by the evening. read more

I have never left a review for a service. Waited before leaving this. I have been going to this salon about 3 years, every 3 weeks or so. Average visit over $100 for a fill and pedicure. Until now I had EXCELLENT experience until... My nails are very long and 4 broke in 2 days... I made an appt with Jay and he said the prior person did not put enough gel on. I feel this was true because I have never had this happen before. When I entered the shop, I use a walker for balance, and I told Jay I wanted the next lightest shade to what I was wearing. I also explained that I am nearly blind and also needed help because I am also quite colorblind. He told me to find it myself... go over to the book rack and find it myself. When I went to pay, he charged me $5 for broken nail (which seemed weird since my broken nails were their fault) I also was being charged $10 more than the prior visits. Now I'm up $15. I started to question the cashier and he heard me. He cam flying around the cashier and in a very crowded area started loudly "What are you complaining about???" I explained myself twice and calmly told him he couldn't understand my problem because he needed to stop yelling at me so he could hear me. It was so embarrassing. Of course the entire salon wanted to see what the ruckus was... I said, "You know I use a walker/rollator, cannot see and colorblind." He was SO angry yelling... "It is NOT MY JOB TO PICK YOUR COLOR." I told him I was pretty sure I could find a salon that would be more than happy to help me with that. Now I have to find another salon,,. sadly I will miss the friends who have been so kind to me. I went to the business next door, sat on my rollator walker and started to cry over the confrontation and 2 young girls came out the door and asked me if I was ok. They were so kind. I never make reviews like this but I've been here a few times and my nails came out great. I made an appt for 1030am and got there a few mins early, they sat me down and moved me to 5 different people who kept starting my nails then having to move me bc their appt came in. I was frustrated bc isn't the whole point of making an appt for someone to have a spot for me in their book for my appt? The guy I'm assuming the owner came up to me and told me since I made an appt with no one in particular they never booked me with anyone.. so they just kept bouncing me around until finally I just asked them to take the tips they started off and I went somewhere else. What's the point of making an appt if no one has time for my appt? My friend and I came in for regular manicure and pedicures. The place was absolutely chaotic from the second we walked in. All of the workers were screaming at each other across the salon, the employees kids were running around and playing with a ball, and at one point one of the employees went into ShopRite and came back INTO the SALON with a shopping cart full of food and walked through the establishment. I was in disbelief. We wanted a relaxing experience and got the opposite. Aside from the ambiance of the place, we were disappointed with the service. Our technicians were very kind, but the work was not well done. While my nails were drying, the nail tech came over to file my nails and straight up smudged them and didn't do anything about it. I didn't want to sit there any longer because I had already been there for two hours, so I did not ask her to fix it. But I was so shocked she came over just to ruin my nails even more than they already were. Also by the end of my manicure, the nail polish was all over my skin. Both my friend and my nails are entirely chipped less than 24 hours later. To top it off we both paid $62, which is more than what we pay in NYC. What an absurd experience. read more

No design, standard color, and the total before tip was $52. I wish I would have known the cost before going in (& perhaps I should have asked). My sister and I wanted to upgrade my mom's pedi so we got her the deluxe spa pedicure. We asked the host what the difference was to the regular pedicure and was told the massage is longer with the service being around 1-1 hour and 15 minutes. The whole service was 45 minutes. We tried to express our concerns at the end and the owner kept speaking down to us and restating how it's his policy that's it's 40 minutes. I noted that if that's the service that's fine, but that's not what was told to us at the beginning and if we could possibly get a break on the price. After many minutes of him raising his voice at us he gave 10 dollars off. If you come here make sure you know what you are getting and avoid the owner. read more

This was my second time going to USA nails. Susan did my nails the first time, which I LOVED! And my pedicure was done by helen or Alice, I don't remember, it was a mature Asian woman, she was absolutely amazing. The second time my gel manicure was done by a young man, I believe his name was Vaen? He was also great. My second pedicure, I asked for a spa pedicure. IT WAS A DISASTER. They assigned me a young Latina girl, her co-worker had to help her prepare the spa pedicure ingredients. You have to pick a scent and type, I don't remember what I picked but it had CBD in it, at least that's what packaging said. The girl was not good at all, rushed through it, (I was done before people that came in after me) but the worst part was her "friends" who were not tending to clients, were sitting on the stools next to her, speaking loudly and constantly laughing, when they would speak she would stop massaging and focus on her conversation, when she realized she would start up again. I was trying to relax but the noise level made it impossible, as the cackling continued another co- worker starts running, yes running, through the salon with the mochi ice cream sandwiches she just bought and handing them out to other co-workers, and laughing and screaming about it. Needless to say I couldn't wait to get home as ALL my kids aren't as loud as they were.. The owners were definitely NOT there as I'm sure this behavior wouldn't be tolerated. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I would go back for my nails, but never a pedicure, especially a pricy spa pedicure, if managment isn't present. Oh... and the girl at the reception area, has a bit of an attitude and curses a bit too much at a business establishment. read more

salon was clean and i was able to walk in without an appointment for a pedicure. i upgraded to a spa pedicure which was nice. the towel was super hot as was the hot stones the woman used. i overheard a conversation where a basic polish change was $15-20! cash tips only which was slightly inconvenient as i never carry cash. the women next to me getting a pedicure kept saying "ow ow ow" but the lady kept going. Very busy salon. Went for a regular manicure. They did not try and upsell me which was nice, most salons in the Toms River area tend to do that. I don't have fake nails. And I don't want a gel manicure. I want a regular old fashioned manicure on my short nails, please. I live on Long Island, NY where the going rate for a regular manicure is $15. WHY does the Jersey Shore charge $25? And they don't even throw in a freebie little massage after! The lady rushed me thru the manicure, she almost didn't even put lotion on my hands before polishing, i had to ask her to do so. And then when she was done I saw her sitting there talking to one of her co-workers with no customer for a while. So why the rush for my basic $25 manicure???? I was in a rutt though bc I needed a manicure for New Years Eve in AC. I would go back to this place if I had to bc it got the job done - albeit rushed and expensive - BUT here is the worst part- the nail polish chipped off the same night I got the manicure. Here we are 2 days later and it looks like I got the manicure a week ago. They do not use ESSIE or OPI polish. I don't know the brand they use but it is not good. I guess it is thin?? SO. This place manipulated , lied and ripped me off!! I will never go back and neither will my friends. The man named "Jay" (supposedly the "owner) did my nails. He kept asking me if I wanted my nails to soak, and I just thought he was being nice and take up more time. I finally shrugged my shoulders and said okay, I guess? I never had someone ask me that since no one usually soaks for cuticles. It's not the 1990s anymore unless it's in aceton- he used cold WATER. What makes no sense is that he did this After my nails were already FINISHED. This was my first visit and Jay did an excellent job. He did exactly what I wanted. I had a fill-in and requested to have my nails squared. Other nail technicians always did a square oval which I dislike. I wanted the edges of my nails to have a 90 degree angle and this is what Jay accomplished. In addition I don't like thick nails. Upon completion of my fill-in my nails looked perfect and natural. For perfect nails, Jay is the go to technician for perfection. read more

Absolutely just found my new salon that I will be using!!! Been to so many local salons, went to a salon for 6 years and was starting to feel so unwelcomed and got lazy with their work. Heard so many good things about USA nails and this is where I landed up. Showed up at 5:30 for a gel pedi and a fell full. Andy did such a wonderful job I showed him a photo of what I wanted, he gave me exactly the design I wanted with my nails and two coworkers came over and helped with the airbrush and design on the nail. I have been here 3 times before, and my third visit will be my last. There is a picture below of what I wanted vs. what I received. My nails look terrible. When I arrived they clearly seemed annoyed. The nail tech was nice at first but was rushing. He hurt my cuticles which you can definitely see a small irritated cut around my pointer finger. He kept telling me to relax and to stop moving with an attitude; I have gotten my nails done many times before at different places and this has never been an issue. This is not how customers should be treated. Keep in mind your customers come here to relax and are paying a lot of money for service to be done properly. Definitely not worth $53. read more

i would not recommend coming here if you are taking COVID seriously (and you should be). first of all, my nail technician wore her mask under her nose instead of over it. i'm not sure why is an issue, as it is now widely known that masks have to cover both the nose and mouth to be effective. this also concerns me that the salon did not receive proper COVID training, as they were supposed to before they were allowed to reopen. second of all, there were numerous teenage children roaming around the salon while it was fairly full, some without masks on (or masks worn on their chin). i presume they were members of the owner's family because they kept going from the front to the back of the salon and seemed to know many of the employees. either way, there's absolutely no reason for this in a time when we're supposed to be limiting our interactions. i noticed the same thing with employees who didn't currently have clients. at one point, 2 different employees who were free were standing right next to me talking to my nail technician. this contact should be eliminated as it puts customers at risk. it seems as though all of the hand washing and temperature check pre-appointment is futile if this salon is going to allow unnecessary interactions, especially if not all people in the salon are going to wear masks properly. read more

Not only did I leave with polish stuck to the skin surrounding all my nails, but my nails were never filed or smoothed after the gel nail polish was applied, leaving them sharp and ridged! My hands were not massaged or given lotion either. Furthermore, my gel polish completely started to PEEL OFF 4 days later!!!
