It took so long just to get an appt., then it was cancelled that day. Had to go far across to another town to get another appt much later, and the appt. just felt rushed, among other things that we found disappointing but are declining to mention here. I can't imagine entrusting my healthcare to a place I felt disrespected. Won't be back.

This is my full update review (I have removed my prior). TL;DR at bottom…read more I saw Doctor Chimes around one year ago for intense hip and back pain. Right away, it was clear he cares more about his personal time than his patients. He told me he wanted yes or no answers and not explanations to his questions (and wouldn't really let me explain things in full even when it would clarify things). After my MRI, which showed multiple spinal issues (bulging, herniated, parse defect, which is a fracture) and bursitis in the hip, he gave me a shot for the bursitis that had already begun healing on its own. During this time, I continually try to tell him the pain is not in the location of the bursitis anymore. He continually ignores or even speaks over me. At the end, I am again trying to tell him I feel pain elsewhere in my hip even though there is a little reduction after the shot (but I was numbed, so of course it would hurt less). To test my pain, he had me stand up from my chair...once. Worse, when we were done and I was alone in the room, when I tried to get up to put my pants on, the pain was so intense I collapsed. This pain happened again when I got home and tried to take one step up the stairs. During our last appointment, instead of listening to me, he tells me "Your pain doesn't match the MRI", and that tells me I'm about to be dismissed, but then it got worse. He continues with, "In his professional opinion, you just need internal pelvic floor PT". Why? Because I'm a woman...and he asked me 2 or 3 YES or NO questions around sex and did not let me explain the answers... I told him I didn't think so, but he disagreed. Well, after speaking with a Pelvic Floor specialist, she disagreed with his assessment. So, instead of doing that, I went to Evergreen Sports and Spine and met with a new doctor who actually took my pain seriously. With his help and a new PT, another MRI of my hip WITH contrast (he was surprised that Dr. Chimes didn't order contrast as it's needed for specific tears in the hip), we found that I had a CAM Morphology, that should have been showing up on my other X-rays and MRIs, but apparently weren't spotted and/or reported...and that I had a tear in the Labrum of my right hip. Later, they also found I had a small pincer as well. So, a double impingement. I had to have surgery because the surgeon I spoke with next agreed that the tear was too large to not do surgery if I wanted to not be in pain. No arguing. No trying to talk me out of it. They immediately agreed it was the best course of action. I had surgery April 2nd of 2024 to remove my CAM and the Pincer they found, and then repair the labrum. While I'm still in recovery, my pain is down 80% of the time outside of flareups when I over exercise during my strength training. I would never send a woman to him, as she will be dismissed. I was in so much pain that I was crying after collapsing at the office during my last visit. The only reason I am giving this location a 2-star is because the women at the front were incredibly nice. This review is leaving out a lot of other smaller issues I had during my short time there. Maybe if you're a man, it'll be worth it, but if you're a woman, go elsewhere. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this office or Dr. Chimes. TL;DR, Dr. Chimes ignored what I said and then gave a sexist course of action due to my gender. New doctor 2 months later discovered the issue and that I needed hip surgery to remove two bone defects and a tear in my labrum. I have now had surgery and am doing well in recovery with a large reduction in pain.

She then said my appointment was canceled for insurance reasons and it is their policy to refuse to see patients if they have "unacceptable" insurance. This is despite my insurance company saying doctor Maurer is in my network and my copay would apply. Furthermore their receptionist was rude, untruthful and unprofessional.

Two months later a letter arrived in my mailbox saying the same MRI showed a 5% chance of cancer and I should get it checked right away. A staff error? No worries I'll just call them to see why the discrepancy. Over 4 days I've called the main desk, including the office manager and no one answers. Messages left have gone unreturned. Are they still in business? Please get your important medical care elsewhere.

Had to get a DOT Medical card for a re-certification quickly. Was able to schedule with them within…read moretwo days. Although bill was covered by my employer, the entire bill was only $54. When other health providers charge at least $125+ for the same service. Arrived on time with my paperwork already filled out. Had to wait about 5-10 mins before someone checked me in. Waited for 45 mins before the medical assistant took me in to run through all the paperwork and start my tests (vision, hearing, urine etc.). Had to wait in a room for the doctor an additional 15-20 mins before he reviewed the results. Although I attributed this wait for them performing the urinalysis. Wait room is very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Despite the long wait, there was a decent TV with ESPN on so was able to see some NFL highlights. :)

This review is being written as my nurse left me 30 minutes ago after telling me that the doctor…read morewill be with me shortly. 30 minutes and counting does not mean shortly. I'm here for a comprehensive health exam and so far, everything has been great. I've eye a vision test, hearing test, my blood drawn, EKG, FVC, and other things done. Definitely the most thorough exam I've ever done and am hoping that the results will provide me with insight as to how to improve my lifestyle. But that is if we will ever get to it. I feel like this is a trend in doctor's office - lots of waiting, waiting and waiting. But this is just unacceptable. I got here for a morning appointment and my appointment didn't begin until 30 mins after the scheduled time as well! In terms of staff, everyone has been professional and courteous. They made me comfortable and well informed me of the test they were about to perform. With that, I really hope the doctor gets here soon cuz they've left me sitting in a very cold room and I'm starving since I had to fast for the appointment. Other than the wait time, my only suggestion is to use something other than a patient's SSN as an ID. I really did not feel comfortable writing it out on various papers and telling it to the nurses multiple times before each test.

Nothing, but positive experience so far…read more Clerk stuff was polite and efficient, I arrived early and was handled quickly for the registration and check in, as well as quickly assessed by the nurse Colin, who was very polite and to the point. As they had an opening, I was almost immediately accepted into the private room. Facilities are clean, welcoming and efficient, albeit a bit small, but that is probably a plus. Quieting and comfortable. Dr Julie Duncan is very good, very professional and thorough. Open minded as well, to inquire and discuss anything. Very pleased. I would also mention the electronic system they used (MyChart) is quire convenient. Worked wonderful so far, and Dr Duncan is exceedingly efficient posting notes for me to check up the same day. Very satisfied so far.
