I called to find out a price for an MRI if I self paid. No one answered the phone, but almost…read moreimmediately I got a text asking what I needed. I got the impression they did not want to speak to me, only text. I asked for the price of a self pay knee MRI and they told me $375 with no contrast and offered no other information. My doctor ordered the MRI and I was lucky enough to get an appointment for the next day which was great. However, my doctor's office sent it through my insurance for approval. The facility charged $1926 to my insurance and with the discount my portion is $525. I called to ask if I could just pay the self pay amount and I was told I needed to pay that at the time of the appointment. Once insurance is involved they get an outside company and I have to pay the significantly higher amount. The person who texted me with the price information should have told me that and I would have just paid upfront and not gotten insurance involved. Also, the day of my appointment there were several young women working at the front desk who seemed a lot more interested in chatting than helping patients. A couple acted annoyed by having to help patients. After my MRI I told them I needed a disc. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my disc. I finally asked about it and it was done and sitting in the machine waiting. The woman who actually did the MRI was friendly and explained everything which was great.

The day before the appointment the radiology tech called to cancel my appointment because they don't do the tests on the orders from the doctor. I'm unsure why the appointment was even made given they reviewed the order at the time I made the appointment. It made things very tough because I had a date for surgery and surgeon needed to review the images to make a plan.

Recently I had a minor complication (stone in cheek gland), and we had some difficulty on how to remove. After some minor confusion on how to proceed, am motivated to recognize and express my appreciation to Sheena for her follow-up and diligent work, to guide my situation in the right direction. Her professionalism, kindness and overall joy by which she corrected my path to appropriate care, was exceptional. Thank you Sheena. Sincerely, Michael R.

I had my MRI this morning. Leigh in Registration was nice and helpful. Shaun, the MRI technologist, was so great! He noticed on my form that I ticked yes to "Are you claustrophobic?" He took extra care to make sure we took things slowly, and even broke up the test into 3 sections, so he could bring me out of the machine, to take a few breathes. He contacted my doctor about a question on the order, and this saved me 60 minutes more in the machine! So we finished in 90 minutes, versus 2.5 hours. The facility is clean, and all covid precautions and protocols were observed. Only concern is the cost, which is higher than other MRI centers. I was also "invited" to pay the bill in advance, both online this morning during the e-check in process, as well as when I checked in in person at the facility. I was already super stressed heading into the test, and being asked to pre-pay was a little more stressful. But the lady still allowed me to proceed with the MRI, even though I said I couldn't pre-pay the $2,400. So that was nice.

This was a very unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, I…read morenever had the chance to meet this doctor. The staff working for her, as well as the medical office itself, behaved in a very confusing and unprofessional manner. I scheduled an appointment through the patient portal after seeing available dates and times for this doctor. However, within a few minutes, my appointment was automatically canceled. I called to ask what happened and was told that the doctor is no longer accepting new patients. This raises a reasonable question: why are appointment slots being publicly listed online if new patients cannot actually book them? I asked the administrator this exact question, but she simply kept repeating the same phrase like a recording: "The doctor is not accepting new patients." I explained that this explanation is not acceptable. If a doctor truly is not accepting new patients, then available dates and times should not be published at all. Instead of addressing the issue, the receptionist began pushing other random doctors on me. If I wanted to see just any doctor, I would have booked one myself. It was important for me specifically to see this doctor, and that was completely ignored. Overall, this felt like a waste of time and very poor communication. Listing appointment availability that patients cannot actually use is misleading and frustrating.
