Hospital seemed very clean Our RN was very patient and kind. (Viviana) Answered all of my questions and was super helpful. Thank you for all of your communication and great service to patients! I know other people do have negative comments about service and staff. We experienced it from my family asking for a cup of coffee from the room. The coffee took about 2 hours and it came decaf when the patient asked for regular. The nurse made it right and gave us some fresh ones from the nurse station within minutes. Besides that, they are fine! Cafeteria opens at 11am and have great selections of snacks, entrees and beverages. They also have healthy choices so that's great!

Tuesday after the surgery.

I was admitted after going to the ER Sunday morning with hard sharp pain on my right side of my stomach. Well the staff and doctors are awesome made me feel comfortable after getting emergency surgery. Everything went well today being discharge unfortunately the world we live in insurance companies run the shots it was time for me to leave I was hoping to see the urologist but that did not happen. As for the staff RN's CNA's and staff was amazing. No problems with them just good ppl. Now for my long recovery

I have been to USC Acradia Hospital. Once it used to be Methodist Hospital, it looked like a very nice hospital, and everything is modern using high-tech equipment. They have very nice Cafeterias the food is really good. Right now, my father in law is having surgery on his left foot. I know these doctors are best.

IV line inserted, left in arm for 10+hours in the waiting room.

Why is the wait time for the emergency room so long? I arrived at 1:40am, left past 1pm!?? This hospital lacks a soul. What has the medical industry become? This waiting room is the scene from the movie Beetlejuice. You pull ticket number 5,000,000 and the next patient is number 3. I would be called for blood works then told to go back to the waiting room and wait. My imaging test was not given past 7am. Apparently no ultrasound tech was on duty until 7am. I absolutely am stun on now horrible the service is here. At a certain point humanity must be placed first before profit.

I am so glad that I chose to go to the ER here because they actually cared. They took action and admitted me. Dr Schlaerth is an outstanding doc. I pray that my home hospital would be as outstanding with their care. If not, I'm making this the family hospital. We will travel down the 210!! Thank you for taking care of me. Shout out to Nurses: Linh, Nellie, Joyce, and Sydney. Thank you! Thank you to Dr Antoz and to the other Optum doctors who checked in and treated me.

My grandma is 97 years old, bedridden, and completely dependent on other people to care for her. I had to ask for pillows and blankets so I could rotate her myself, and I had to ask for a diaper to change her myself because they had no plan on doing it-- even though my grandma was laying there for almost 12hrs. Unfortunately we come to this hospital because it's close to home. I understand ERs get busy. But being busy doesn't mean basic care and empathy should disappear!! When I asked for help, I got looked at like they were annoyed or I was interrupting their social hour. When it comes to my grandma I don't play, so I was really disappointed.. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! And what really broke my heart is thinking about the patients who DON'T have family there to advocate for them. Imagine if I wasn't there for my grandma? Who would've changed her? Cleaned her? Made sure she was even comfortable? That's scary to think about. People come to the ER vulnerable, scared, sick, and needing compassion -- not attitude and neglect. The way some of these nurses acted was disgusting and disappointing.

Was brought here by a friend immediately on Friday night and had surgery Saturday morning to get a titanium rod and screws. The nursing staff was excellent, and my surgeon Dr. Shah was super cool and did a phenomenal job. From Friday to Monday, they did everything possible to keep me comfortable. TBH I'm shocked this place only has 3 stars... it's a great hospital with an even better staff. And yes they have a reputation for food and it's actually pretty good, however it's a bit bland for patients, way better as a visitor. Anyways, highly recommend them. Will not return LOL

I feel there are some amazing professionals here, but they all look truly defeated, and something empty appears in their eyes and hearts. This hospital needs to bring real lifesavers back into this great hospital and start saving more lives each day. Don't give up, Huntington! The community needs you all to stay strong and help their loved ones. This is your duty, this is your calling, this is your purpose. I will change my review when I see and understand that this hospital is changing for the better. What I witnessed today, and over the last week with my father-in-law in the hospital under critical care, has been very disappointing. For now, this hospital needs someone in charge who wants to save lives every day not giving up fast based on diseases that could be healed and cured over time. Saving lives is the goal. That's the mission. Good luck to all who visit this hospital. You're gonna need it. Or maybe, go to another one until they get their operations in order.

On July 1, my father, who was on hospice for advanced cancer, was rushed there by ambulance because he was experiencing severe stomach pain. Despite being in obvious distress, he waited over an hour in the emergency room before being placed in a room. He was never admitted to the hospital. Once the staff learned he was on hospice, it felt as though they had already decided there was nothing worth doing. He was given morphine and an X-ray of his stomach, but no other treatment options or interventions were discussed with our family. The physician was dismissive and repeatedly implied that because my father was on hospice, there wasn't much to do. We understand what hospice means, but every patient deserves compassion, dignity, and thoughtful medical care. The lack of empathy from the staff was devastating. When my mother asked a nurse why more morphine was being given after my father was already unconscious and heavily sedated, she was met with an attitude instead of understanding. After my father passed away, the physician who informed our family delivered the news in a cold, detached manner, even suggesting that because he was on hospice, this outcome was expected. No family should have to receive such heartbreaking news without compassion. What hurts the most is not just that my father died there, but the way our family was treated during his final hours. We will always wonder if he would have received more compassionate care had the ambulance taken him to Kaiser, where he had always been treated with dignity and respect. I hope no other family has to experience what we did. During the most vulnerable moments of a person's life, kindness, empathy, and respect matter just as much as medical treatment.
