Plan of care not kept up since in checked in those facility. .

Some of the staff were doing their job. The evening staff were accommodating. The supervisors were useless. Could not solution any situations. I check in on Wed, the day of my surgery. After day 2 the staff service during the day went to hell.Patients deserve good quality service and care at all times. My wed, Thurs Friday night staff went the extra mile. They made me feel like my care matter. SUNDAY WAS THE WORST. nothing went right, food, treatment, service had to ask for soap and water to clean myself, ask for water and never got it. Supervisor came to tell me there was nothing he could about the food. So I eat the food I order and told him nevermind. A grilled cheese, a cup of cream of broccoli soup. He was giving to me at first. I asked for a dark leafy one time. Salad with chicken breast , but everyday! This facility was extremely cold. Ask for Heat one night it was so cold. TV didn't work, bed didn't work, Maintenance fixed tv and got me a remote that worked. They had to switch the bed from another room that worked. Just was not a great place for recovery. Complete lack of their job and responsibilities. I had to ask for everything from this group. It's unfortunate that their best staff were off the weekend, and this group is the evening staff. The day staff were horrible with the exception of one nurse. Didn't clean me up or offer cleaning material u til I had asked after 4 days. My surgeon told them that they could take off I V drip, and once I was able to eat sold food and have a bow movement I should be good to go home. It is now Sunday, I had to order food from outside as the dietian seemed to not get what a diabetic meal was. I was given rice, carrots, some beefy stew, regular eggs, French toast, a supervisor gave me a gelly on gelly sandwich without the peanut butter. If I asked for mint tea , I was offered Camille. Finally after me standing my ground, I got things. I still cleaned myself, their job, I couldn't get a hot cup of fresh coffee not one day. Again order from outside the hospital. They have cameras in this hospital, the CEO, should take a look at what the staff is doing in this facility on a daily basis

I am so glad that I chose to go to the ER here because they actually cared. They took action and admitted me. Dr Schlaerth is an outstanding doc. I pray that my home hospital would be as outstanding with their care. If not, I'm making this the family hospital. We will travel down the 210!! Thank you for taking care of me. My grandma is 97 years old, bedridden, and completely dependent on other people to care for her. I had to ask for pillows and blankets so I could rotate her myself, and I had to ask for a diaper to change her myself because they had no plan on doing it-- even though my grandma was laying there for almost 12hrs. Unfortunately we come to this hospital because it's close to home. I understand ERs get busy. But being busy doesn't mean basic care and empathy should disappear!! When I asked for help, I got looked at like they were annoyed or I was interrupting their social hour. When it comes to my grandma I don't play, so I was really disappointed.. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! And what really broke my heart is thinking about the patients who DON'T have family there to advocate for them. Imagine if I wasn't there for my grandma? Who would've changed her? Cleaned her? Made sure she was even comfortable? That's scary to think about. People come to the ER vulnerable, scared, sick, and needing compassion -- not attitude and neglect. The way some of these nurses acted was disgusting and disappointing.

I'm leaving this review because this hospital deserves more recognition…read more I came to their emergency room and then was admitted to their hospital after receiving negligent care at an urgent care closer to my home which is in SB County. I don't want to go into all the details because this rating would become a novel but I want to thank and highlight the wonderful staff here at the USC Arcadia Hospital. What I went through was traumatic to say the least but I got through it with the help of EVERYONE. They made me comfortable, reduced my fears, and went above and beyond to find out what caused my reason to seek care. I want to highlight the amazing collaboration and problem solving of all the specialists and how they each came to my room to explain things to me. Names I will never forget from here is nurse Dylen from my first 3 nights, Nurse Samantha, Dr. Hsu, and Dr. Korula. Thank you all for what you do. I don't know how I could have got through what I did without all of you.

I understand that ER wait times depend on severity and that some patients may need to be seen sooner, but the way the front staff treated people was unacceptable. I went in because of severe back pain to the point where I could barely walk. I have children and a very high pain tolerance, but this pain had me in tears. Around 9 PM, I politely asked if they had any updates because it was becoming extremely difficult to sit and wait. The staff member at the front was rude and told me to "go sit down and wait for the nurse." Every time I approached the desk afterward, I was dismissed and told I would "be called shortly." When I was finally taken to the back, I was only seen for a couple of minutes before being moved again for vitals. They hooked me up to the blood pressure machine but never properly checked on me or removed it. At one point, they placed another patient in the same small triage/check area with me. It was barely big enough for one person, let alone two. The other woman was hooked up to her IV port and left there screaming in pain while I was also sitting there in severe pain myself. It was uncomfortable, chaotic, and did not feel like an appropriate space for multiple patients. I was also told they needed another urine test because something was missed in the first one, but no one ever came back to do it. Instead, they returned with discharge paperwork around 12:30 AM. The next day, I saw my doctor and found out the pain I was experiencing was actually due to a severe kidney infection. I'm disappointed not only by the long wait but by the lack of care, communication, and compassion from the staff during a time when I was in serious pain.

Was brought here by a friend immediately on Friday night and had surgery Saturday morning to get a titanium rod and screws. The nursing staff was excellent, and my surgeon Dr. Shah was super cool and did a phenomenal job. From Friday to Monday, they did everything possible to keep me comfortable. TBH I'm shocked this place only has 3 stars... it's a great hospital with an even better staff. And yes they have a reputation for food and it's actually pretty good, however it's a bit bland for patients, way better as a visitor. Anyways, highly recommend them. Will not return LOL

During my delivery, Dr. Edward Merchant allowed my due date to lapse significantly. On the day of delivery, I was ignored for hours following the departure of the head nurse. Despite my deteriorating condition, Dr. Merchant refused to intervene and went to sleep in the physician's rest area. A code was eventually called when my blood pressure dropped dangerously low. My previous physician, who was on call, had to intervene to perform a crash emergency C-section. Furthermore, Dr. Merchant falsified my medical records by documenting the event as a "normal uneventful delivery." It was an emergency crash C-section as confirmed by the nurses to me the following day. In a subsequent emergency room visit for a severe allergic reaction, I was dismissed by the triage nurse, Maryann Magdaleno, RN, and sent back to a filthy, crowded waiting room for hours. I eventually went home and was called back at 3:00 AM, at which point my blood pressure was 60/0. While my chart indicates I was seen by a Dr. Stinnett, I never saw a physician during that visit. Despite reporting these incidents to the appropriate oversight agencies and the BRN, I have not received a satisfactory resolution. The hospital has continued to stonewall requests for information regarding staffing schedules and this particular nurse on call that night. I am formally expressing my concerns regarding the unethical and unprofessional conduct I recently experienced from Huntington Hospital medical staff. This behavior compromised my safety and fell well below the expected medical standards for their scope of practice. It is essential that the personnel involved are held accountable for these actions to ensure that future patients do not encounter the same lack of care and professionalism. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to address this matter. These experiences were devastating, and I cannot recommend Huntington Hospital to anyone seeking safe or professional medical care.

Who wouldn't want to go there instead of the main hospital in L.A.? Free and nice parking is a bonus. Easy freeway access is a bonus. Lots of food options nearby is a bonus. Nice waiting rooms is a bonus! It's so new I didn't feel like I was in a germ factory. I had my coffee, ear pods and I watched my Britbox crime series while I waited for my husband. I wish I would have a taken a photo of the view from the 2nd floor waiting area. It was nice. I hate horse racing because I feel like it's abusive to the horses, but you could actually watch races from the waiting rooms in the west building.

I was on my old crutches when arriving because it helped to keep my weight off the leg & help with movement. The very kind security guard immediately got me a wheelchair. She also helped me gather my registration paperwork so I didn't have to wait in line. The nurse who took my vitals asked why I was there. This is not a common condition, but she said she had to check with her attending who determined it was not an emergency. A simple Google check would have told her that it was life threatening, but she was NOT a good doctor. More on her later. After a couple of hours, they took me back for a blood panel so they could do a CT scan w/contrast completely skipping an ultrasound then an MRI w/contrast. The phlebotomist was good. I told them I was freezing and could I please have a blanket, & I hadn't eaten all day; could I have a sandwich. The doctor, whom I already went over all of my health issues, asked, "What if I got you a full meal instead?" I again had to remind her that I was on the FOD map diet for my IBS and could I just please have the plain sandwich and the blanket. This is now the second or third time asking for these things. She said she'd check on these. She and her attending both examined me, pushed very hard on the painful area. If it had been a clot, it could have broken apart & killed me. I finally got my blanket about 6 hours later. Still no sandwich. The female doctor/attending sucked & said if I was nauseous, I would have to keep the oversalted crackers down, which I did, then I could have a sandwich. I ate one pack, stopped, & was so angry thinking, "Does she think she's my mom?" I know my body & have been through enough things that I know what I best respond to. My husband found someone & told him what the m.d. said and could he please bring me sandwich. He said he would check on it. That was all of their responses. You would have thought that their sandwiches were on lockdown. In the meantime, I was in the main waiting room w/10-15 people vomiting non-stop. Finally, it was my time to go to the CT scan room, which I didn't get because someone was stroking out. Understandable. So I asked if I could have my sandwich while I was waiting because they were giving me strong pain medicine, & I still had to take my own, so I needed something in my stomach to help with the acids. "I'll go check on it." They rolled me into the inner waiting room left me facing the wall because I was apparently their prisoner except for no bread or water. When it was finally time to take me to the CT room, I asked about the Zofran, AGAIN, because I know how nauseous the contrast makes me. OOPS! They forgot to order it, so I had to go back to my prison cell. At least this time, they left me facing my husband who again asked about my sandwich. "I'll go check on it." At least an hour later, they finally got the Zofran and were able to take me to the CT room. Brian, the assistant was very nice and patient. He even offered to replace my blanket with a warmer one. When my husband asked him about my sandwich, he said, "I'll go check on it." The actual technician in the white lab coat was a little too in my face and rushing me. I COULDN'T MOVE MY LEG; I WAS DOING THE BEST I COULD! They rolled me to the main waiting room w/all of the vomiting people. After an hour or two, they came to get me just to put me in back in my prison cell. My husband had to go let our dogs out and feed them & asked again before he left about my sandwich.. "I'll go check on it." I was in the little waiting room at 3:00a.m. by myself & didn't sleep because I didn't trust these people. Meanwhile, the new RN's or MA's, (I couldn't tell which from their lack of professionalism) just kept flirting with the married NP who's ego got bigger with their many questions he answered. They could have researched on their own. I waited until 5:00a.m. because everyone kept ignoring me. Since no M.D. or P.A. was present, just an N.P. who was basically in front of me but never checked on me nor made eye contact w/me in those two hours, I finally asked very loudly "Is anyone going to tell me what's going on with me?" No response. A few minutes later, the N.P. shouted back (HIPPA), "I just now got your test results," (right) "and I'll go over the results, discharge paperwork, and any notes for work," but he just handed them to me. Luckily, I'm have a pre-nursing AA along w/a bunch of certs since I had to read them on my own. He said he would remove my port I reminded them I had because I know they would have left it in. I was already taking it out when he said he could do that. The CT scan was clear. I said, "doesn't explain my symptoms". Him, "Maybe we should run more tests. Which ones?" I asked to be rolled out. I'll go to the pro's to figure this out. Never got my damn sandwich!

On July 1, my father, who was on hospice for advanced cancer, was rushed there by ambulance because he was experiencing severe stomach pain. Despite being in obvious distress, he waited over an hour in the emergency room before being placed in a room. He was never admitted to the hospital. Once the staff learned he was on hospice, it felt as though they had already decided there was nothing worth doing. He was given morphine and an X-ray of his stomach, but no other treatment options or interventions were discussed with our family. The physician was dismissive and repeatedly implied that because my father was on hospice, there wasn't much to do. We understand what hospice means, but every patient deserves compassion, dignity, and thoughtful medical care. The lack of empathy from the staff was devastating. When my mother asked a nurse why more morphine was being given after my father was already unconscious and heavily sedated, she was met with an attitude instead of understanding. After my father passed away, the physician who informed our family delivered the news in a cold, detached manner, even suggesting that because he was on hospice, this outcome was expected. No family should have to receive such heartbreaking news without compassion. What hurts the most is not just that my father died there, but the way our family was treated during his final hours. We will always wonder if he would have received more compassionate care had the ambulance taken him to Kaiser, where he had always been treated with dignity and respect. I hope no other family has to experience what we did. During the most vulnerable moments of a person's life, kindness, empathy, and respect matter just as much as medical treatment.
