I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. While I was here in this establishment today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big since they share the lot with several other medical offices. Each parking space is pretty wide. You should have no issues with finding parking. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. Staff: The amazing Dr. Tim Chen was super informative, knowledgeable, kind, friendly, compassionate, patient, attentive, reassuring, thorough, and respectful. He did a great job with my procedures. I didn't feel anything hahaha. Well, that is also thanks to my wonderful anesthesiologist / anesthetist, Camille. Camille was also incredibly attentive, thorough, reassuring, vigilant, informative, knowledgeable, chill, compassionate, respectful, and warm. Special shout out to both of my extraordinary nurses, Bridget and Sammy. They were both so kind, understanding, caring, empathetic, thorough, compassionate, chill, supportive, warm, friendly, attentive, vigilant, and reassuring. As a nurse myself, I give them a 10/10 for patient care. Sammy, as a new grad RN, you are doing great! Keep up the good work. Also, I would like to give another shout out to Bridget who so kindly walked with me to my father's car. Thanks for going above and beyond. My dad was a bit upset because when he went to pick me up, apparently there was no one in the front office because of some sort of maintenance that was going on in the office. He waited like 5 - 10 minutes before he was instructed by the maintenance person to go to the back door. At the back door, he also waited another 10 minutes before the maintenance guy went into the building and he snuck in behind the maintenance guy to ask a nurse about me. He said he just felt frustrated that he had to resort to sneaking in behind a maintenance guy in order to get into the building to pick me up. He thinks there should have been a sign in the front office directing people to go to the back door to pick up their loved ones. Anyways, sorry if my father offended anyone. Overall, a 10/10 experience. If I had to do this again, I would come back to this place. Highly recommend coming here. They accept both cash and credit cards. This is my second time doing colonoscopy. (First time is NOT in this center). The experience and the care that I received from this center is just phenomenal!! Nobody like to do colonoscopy. We are all nervous and anxious about the procedure. First of all, they are ON TIME. We did not wait long for our appointment at all. And you know you are in professional hand because basically they are just specialized in doing this exact thing. The nurses are all extremely caring and warm. I was care for by 3 different nurses today, each is very patient and checking on me all the time. Staff and doctor are all very knowledgeable and explain to me in detail about what would happened. Unlike my first colonoscopy (which I woke up in the middle of it because of insufficient or ineffective sedation), this time I woke up feeling well and recover well. They contracted with Kaiser. I would 100% pick to go here for a Kaiser patient. (I saw someone say don't pick here for Kaiser..... if you ever did a colonoscopy with Kaiser, you would not say so) Highly recommended! read more

No one likes to talk about going to get a colonoscopy but it's part of middle age. I have been here 3 times and my recent visit was top notch- prior to my visit I got emailed documents confirming my appointment and proper prep. Each day prior I was sent a text reminding me what to do or not do. Staff at the facility was great and very professional and seemed to care about my care. I was in and out in less than 2 hours and my doctor went over my report and answered any questions. While they are a little like an assembly line getting people in and out I never felt like just a number. Good follow up after my procedure also. High marks from me. read more

I was not looking forward to my first routine colonoscopy (does anyone?) After today's experience, I would recommend anyone to work with the wonderful staff here, from the front office, to the people taking care of you in recovery, to the anesthesiologist--everyone is professional, kind and reassuring. They take the time to explain everything and sincerely mean it when they ask if you have questions. Dr. Mourani is an excellent doctor who makes you feel you are in expert, capable hands. He communicates well and is very approachable. The waiting room, bathroom, recovery room, and procedure rooms are clean and neat. Be sure to wear warm socks as it's chilly (medical facilities always are). They are happy to give you extra blankets in recovery if you are still cold. read more

I had a colonoscopy done overall everything went well with procedure. Only issue was the nurse who was prepping me for procedure couldn't get the IV in my arm properly. Another nurse had to come in and was successful with putting the IV in my hand. I had procedure done on 1-14-24 and have a very large bruise a week and a half later. read more

I got a colonoscopy referral from Kaiser and was able to schedule an appointment within 3 weeks. That's right, only 3 weeks. Last year, I had different insurance (HMO), and the first appointment was 5 months away--just for a consultation, not even the procedure. Anyway, the scheduling process was easy. They walked me through it over the phone, emailed instructions, and sent text reminders. At the clinic, I waited less than 5 minutes before being admitted. The nurses were helpful and explained the procedure in detail. While I wasn't anxious about the procedure itself, the prep was rough. Starving for over a day and then emptying your bowels continuously for a couple of hours is unpleasant. Things to note: - there are 2 important times to account for: one for the appointment and one for the procedure (usually an hour later). Use the procedure time to calculate when to finish the prep drink (they also provide a sheet to help you out). - I'd recommend scheduling the procedure as early as possible so you don't starve for too long, but not so early that you have to wake up at 3am to finish the prep drink. Bottom line: I'd go there again without hesitation read more

My daughter needed both an endoscopy and colonoscopy for abdominal pain. The doctor was friendly with her and spent time making her feel comfortable with the process. That's a plus. We came at the scheduled time and the service was quick and timely. No unnecessary waiting like you find with other doctor offices. I was very pleased with the patient services and bedside manner of the entire staff. They treat you well and make sure you are comfortable while you are there. I came in for a procedure that takes only 15 mins, but I was there for about 2 hours (pre and post). The RNs were all so nice. I over heard another patient that seemed very nervous and had lots of questions. The RN answered them all and gave information to help calm and ease their nerves. Then another RN came by just to make sure the patient was comfortable. After I was home, an RN called to make sure I was doing well and check to see if I had any other questions. They would not allow me to come back to see my husband who is elderly and was having a colonoscopy procedure. They said that because of Covid restrictions I was unable to go back and that they already admitted him. They refused even though I told them he has issues remembering things. He has a long history of issues he is unable to remember details of. Cindy and Yvette were the people that said I couldn't go back. They screened others for entry but would not screen me. When my husband was done with his procedure they still denied me access to him and Dr. Mourani to speak with them and ask questions. This has never happened in the past when we have come here. I had my 1st colonoscopy at 6:30 am. Did not need to see anyone after my PCP wrote an order so 1st time seeing the GI was at the colonoscopy. Front desk made me sign forms and waited a few minutes then went to the back with many gurneys divided by curtains. Gabby initially checked my bp and hr. She was funny and kind. I changed and placed all my stuff in a bag she gave me. It was cold so recommend leaving socks on and getting another blanket. I was dehydrated after the colon prep and tired being up all night. The vein whisperer came and found a good vein in my left hand. The colon prep purposely makes you dehydrated right? I knew I would be hard to poke. Nurse G was kind and with one poke set up my IV for the sedative. After another 20 mins or so the nurse anesthetist came, Asus? She was from Kaiser though I'm not a Kaiser patient. Brought me into the procedure room where Dr. Tarakji was. He was kind and had a great bedside manner. I signed another form for the propofol ( yes the MJ drug!) and was out in a minute. I felt the cooling sensation up my left arm and was in heaven. After 30-40 mins later I was back in the area with the curtains but on the other side. Nurse Robert said I asked what time it was 4x haha a little disoriented after the propofol.... He gave me 2 cups of warm water and it was delicious after being so dehydrated. He called my driver to get me also. Dr. T came by and said all was fine and to come back in 10 years. Nurse Robert showed me pics of my colonoscopy and explain the rest of the paper work. Got dressed and my driver was waiting. It was over in under 2 hours. I was very hungry so luckily my driver had food waiting. Great care from beginning to end and the hardest part was the prep at home. Don't hesitate and just get the colonoscopy done. I also lotst 7-8 lbs from the prep! Of course easily gained back after eating. Highly recommend this place and Dr. T and the nurses. read more

I wanted to meet Dr. Kao, but he is busy. I ended up booked an appointment with his nurse practitioner Judy Zhu today. Very disappointed. She did not smile and greeting . She just asked about 3 questions and directly suggested to do Endoscopy and Colonoscopy doesn't care your condition at all. She did not show any care or knowledges. She said she doesn't know anything until you do these tests. What's the point to meet her?! Don't go to see her and waste your time. She looks like she hates her job. She showed zero knowledge, sympathy or compassionate to her patient. Facility and office ladies are nice. But the nurse practitioner Judy Zhu is so bad. when I expressed a concern about her recommended endoscopy, she told me straight to talk to my Psychiatrist without trying to explain the procedure. read more

Had my first colonoscopy, and it went very well. It's an older facility, but otherwise clean. Welcoming staff. Charge nurse Robert took great care of me at time of admission! The CRNA got the sedation just right... I wasn't awake during the procedure and I wasn't super groggy afterwards. Veronica was my recovery nurse. She ensured that I had all my questions answered and kept me company while my husband was driving around in circles looking for the building entrance to pick me up. Kaiser contracts with this facility and patients can schedule Saturday appointments. Overall great experience! read more

I used this facility for a routine colonoscopy. Although the facility is wanting in details from the previous facility I had this procedure, still the procedure here was done very professionally. The only reason for me writing this review is to comment on the regressive waiting room policy. The waiting room was not to be used by family/friends waiting for the patient. Instead, they were instructed to wait outside(?). Anyway, if this is a covid concern, even for a health facility, this is extremely ignorant, unnecessary and unscientific policy. For this and this alone, I would not recommend this facility, nor will I be using this facility in the future. However, many will not care and use this facility anyway. That is why my rating is 4 stars: it is an OK facility, just less than ideal. read more

The most chill, pleasant medical experience of my life. Dr. Mourani and the staff at Valley Digestive Health Center were kind, patient, caring, and personable. I wish I could remember the names of the anesthesiologist (who was super cool and had jokes) and the nurse who supplied me with seconds of apple juice and peanut butter crackers when I woke up (after a 42-hour liquid diet, best snack of my life!) because they couldn't have been more professional or hospitable. This goes for Jonathan as well who prepared me for the procedure and was so chill, I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. Dr. Mourani's reputation speaks for itself (which is why I chose him), but in the brief interaction we had, his demeanor reflected that of the staff, and he had such a relaxed confidence that I had zero worries or nervousness before I drifted off into a deep, refreshing sleep. Two hours of no work, no kids, AND a nap? If the experience was longer it'd be a vacation. And guess what...no polyps! read more

Sitting here in waiting room to have a colonoscopy.... After checking in, no one in the office mentioned that they are running behind. After doing the prep "ALL NIGHT LONG" and getting maybe 2 hours of sleep, I am still waiting over an hour past my scheduled appointment... not once did anyone come out to tell us how long the wait would be. I am hypoglycemic, and have no idea how long it will be before I will be called for my procedure!!!! If you decide to have service here, don't expect to be seen at your appointment time! Or to be made aware of how long you will be waiting... Very poor service. read more

Amazingly, flabbergastingly disorganized! They call you and leave a message to confirm your appointment. When you call them back, they have no idea who you are. After being on hold for 10 minutes, they finally find someone who knows how to use the appointment software. THEN they tell you to show up at 8:00. Fine, right? Except they then send a text saying your appointment is at 8:00 but come an hour early. So you call back to confirm is it 7:00 or 8:00 at which point they transfer you to Kaiser who has to transfer you right back again. This time you're told to arrive at 7:00, just like is WRITTEN in the text, SO you arrive at 7:00 at which point you are told that your appointment is at 9:00!!!! If the medical personnel are as incompetent as the office staff, I'm going to die! That's why I'm writing this in the waiting room. Wish me luck! read more

I absolutely recommend this facility to anyone, and particular to those scared about having their first colonoscopy. I am an absolute chicken and was terrified to have this procedure; I've heard some pretty bad stories and had been dreading this routine procedure. But every step of the colonoscopy was tolerable to "almost" pleasant thanks to the team. The prep was honestly not that bad; while tis will obviously be different for each person, I did not suffer any significant side-effects the day prior to the procedure. The morning of the colonoscopy, I was escorted back to the clinical area by a helpful and clear nurse. When I explained that I was scared and hadn't even had an IV in my life before, the nursing team was extra patient and sweet with me. I was offered extra (warm) blankets as the room was rather cold. When the procedure was running behind schedule, the physician himself came out to apologize and to let me know that they were down a staff member that day. I could not believe how painless and quick the procedure was. Before I knew it, I was waking up and returning to my regular self. The nursing team continue to chit-chat with me, bringing me fluids and helping me to the restroom. Their warmth and genuine care really made this a positive experience. Can't say I am looking forward to my next procedure, but at least I won't be scared anymore and I definitely won't cancel/procrastinate. read more

Very impressed by their sanitation process and procedures from the moment I opened the door. The staff was super professional and and their whole operation was a fine oiled machine from start to finish. I don't think I've ever felt more comfortable or been this happy having a colonoscopy.. They really were all so kind and super on point with their skill level. My nurse put the iv needle in so perfectly I didn't even feel it and I am a mega baby!!! Thank you sweet sir bosses please give me praise or a raise I wish I remembered his name but I'm sure it's on my chart. Please thank him so much for being so gentle and kind. I have had several colonoscopies, all at different locations. This is the best location by far. Initially, I was a little concerned because I only submitted my written medical history and spoke to a nurse over the phone. I only met my doctor on the morning of my surgery and discussed my previous history with him at that time. Upon my arrival to the facility, I noticed the parking was plentiful and the office appeared to be run very efficiently. The staff was very friendly and my appointment started right on time. The facilities were very bright and inviting, unlike some of the other places I've been to. All of the nurses and Dr Tarakji were all very helpful, pleasant and professional. The procedure was done in less than 30 minutes without a hitch and I was out shortly thereafter when my ride home arrived and they deemed it was safe for me to leave. I end many of my favorable reviews with I'll definitely be back, but on this one I think I will wait the 5-7 years. read more

I would've given higher rating if it wasn't for the nurse who injected needle in my vein to insert IV. He poked me several times which were very painful and now I am all black and blue and in pain and have to compress it with heat and cold to make it better. I had have blood drawn from the same vein and never had any problem. He, the nurse, apparently did not know what he was doing. Valley Digestive must monitor it nurses a bit better. read more

They were on schedule, explained everything that I needed to know, and Judy, the nurse who did the IV, was so good that after I removed the bandage I could not even see where the needle was inserted.
