Loved that there was a Trader Joe's and Target in the Village as well. Makes it easy for visitors and students to get their groceries literally within walking distance of the campus. Easy to get to plus plenty of street parking as well as underground parking available. It was Sunday so maybe it wasn't quite as busy as a school day but it was still vusy but pleasant. When first built for USC community and this living nearby this was a welcome addition. Bringing Trader Joe's and target to communities that had to drive for up to 30 minutes to shop for essentials. Today, it was sad to see how poorly the place is monitored and maintained. Some one left dog excrement at one of the elevators. When this was pointed out, the attitude was I work for Trader Joe's as if the inside of the store is not effected by the presence of foul smelling nasty dog poop. So some one solved the problem by covering it up with paper towels. See pic below. I could barely shop I was so upset and sickened not only by the doggy doo but the attitude of those who work where food is sold. Get it together USC Village. Everyone working there should feel a responsibility to the entire facility. I won't be back. read more

Stopped by on Friday, 02/17/23. This relatively-new village is super convenient for USC staff, faculty, and students who is need of the basic necessities of life (food, toiletries, hygiene, etc). From Target, Trader Joes, restaurants, the USC Village Dining Hall (all you can eat), and several more - the list goes on. It literally feels like you are touring Europe. Since my daughter goes to USC, we normally meet up here. We do her groceries here either at Trader Joe's or Target. We really appreciate this place since it helps the students, faculty, and employees to have a nice place where they have a lot of choices to choose from for places to eat like: Il Giardino, Dulce, Rock & Reilly's, Ramen Kenjo, Insomnia cookies, and others. Also, there are a lot of chairs and tables some even with umbrellas. Plus there is the Amazon Hub where you can pick up or return some items. There is basement parking and the parking ticket can be validated at Target or the Amazon Hub. The fountain at the center is also very refreshing when having an afternoon walk. read more

USC Village is significantly better than it's predecessor University Village (UV). It looks like a SoCal version of Hogwarts and is a prime extension of the main USC campus. The crummy 32 Market has been replaced by a fabulous Trader Joe's. The old food court has been replaced with Starbucks, Dulce, Green Leaf, etc. They even have a Target! In my opinion, one of the best parts about USC Village is the wide open spaces with comfy seating, benches, and water features. USC Village is very well maintained and clean. I always have mistaken this Yelp page for the specific Amazon USC Village page. Twice I have come and the Amazon spot not been open. So keep in mind that THIS IS THE WHOLE AMAZON VILLAGE page not a specific store. It's the WHOLE COMPLEX. That being said, they have really added to this place since last year. Many more shops open, food places, trendy coffee and smoothie places. It can get busy when school is in, but when not, it's pretty convenient. My favorites here are how easy I can return things I buy on Amazon, as I am quite the Amazon shopper. Also, the TJ's is here as some things I prefer to get from here that are cheaper than regular markets - such as their nut butters, steel cut oatmeal, cauliflower rice to name a few. Did I mention the Amazon thing is convenient for returns? Yeah, they have packing tape there and you can even print your return label there. Really makes returning big things cheap and easy. Parking here stinks but there is plenty of street parking if you are able to find a spot. People really battle over their parking spots here. I love coming here to meet up with students and to help them with their various projects. You literally have everything that you need right here. There's a Starbucks, Lululemon, cafe dolce, Trader Joe's, target a pub and other types of eateries and self care spots. This spot is awesome. It is really beautiful inside the village too. The walkways are illuminated beautifully at night. I can't tell you how many times I have been in here and have just paused to take a moment to take it all in. It doesn't seem possible that you're essentially on a college campus in the middle of Los Angeles and that it looks like this. It really is beautiful. This village aren't isn't closed off at all. The public can come through here w no problems. Of course the are retails shops here and residences above them to which you have to either have a key or be let in but that is for safety. The community here is amazing and while it has been pretty unfortunate to see a few not so beautiful things happen here, I feel like the staff, security and others who manage and maintain the grounds are tryin to be as on top of things as they can be. I have seen some homeless leave bags of their own excrement on the grounds for pretty much anyone and everyone to see but I have also seen them radio someone to come and take care of it and have it removed, areas sanitized, etc. This is really a cool spot to hang out. I can see why so many people come here. I look forward to visiting again in the warmer months and maybe just sitting out here for a bit, playing some cards games or maybe a few rounds of jenga with my lil one. read more

As a lifelong Trojan, now returned as a doctoral student, this is a far cry from the old Three-Two market and that place that had cheap t-shirts and button downs. Granted, those places are indelibly inked on my heart and soul... which is to say, there was a certain sense of loss when it was all torn down and construction began on "The Village." For a long time, we watched through the green screen chain-link fence, waiting with a sense of trepidation and wonder. I have to admit that I had a giggle every time I drove down Hoover, and saw that the clock tower was set to 4:20. You crazy collidge kids, you! Well, I have to admit: It's awesome. Dozens of stores, shops, coffee joints, restaurants, and of course, the Trader Joe's and Target stores. I haven't parked there, but I've heard it's spacious and easy. The huge courtyard area with ample seating (and free USC Guest WiFi!) is awesome. This is a great place to relax before class and get in a little reading or people watching. The residence halls that are also here are pretty well hidden in plain site... a far cry from my freshman year at Birnkrant, and my sophomore and junior year as an RA at Trojan Hall, and Pardee Tower, respectively. Many restaurants have their "adult beverage" permit paperwork still taped to their front windows... which is to say, your options are pretty much Trejo's Tacos or brown-baggin' with something cold from TJ's... good luck with that, btw-- security/ DPS here is pretty on it. This was my hangout in the late 70's when I was going to elementary school across the street. The old design was an eye sore but it was a lot of fun for my friends and I to hang out here. We used to race BMX bicycle for Tom's Wheelworks that was next to the Village Cobbler. This new build is way better looking than what was there before. read more

I have no idea what the old Village looked like but I'm sure this is an upgrade. The village is clean and looks amazing at night time with the lights. The restrooms are also clean. Major props to the cleaning crew. As a student, I love the addition of Trader Joe's and Target. It has almost everything we need. Trader Joe's prepared foods are also inexpensive and most of it actually taste good. However, they seriously need to incorporate Dining Dollars and really check if the new businesses are something the community wants. Just to name a few: Facial spa and Abercrombie? I've walked by those stores many times on different times of the day and I rarely see a single customer come in. Maybe one but two? Super rare. BBCM and Greenleaf are also expensive given their portion sizes. I'm really not surprised that BBCM closed down. The prices in these restaurants are expensive and sometimes not worth it. I've grown accustomed to these prices to the point where I think food purchased at Disneyland aren't that bad anymore! (There's a reason why establishments like Cafe Dulce and HoneyBird are succeeding). Take note USC Real Estate. Give us affordable options! Open a Daiso for heaven's sake. read more

I drive here once a week for traders joes and target as it's the closest to my place. They recently changed the way their parking system works, and they now have a camera system that scans your license plates to gauge your time there. Unfortunately it has caused a severe backup in the underground parking structure as cars just pile up because either the system isn't functioning properly or people don't know what to do if the gate pole doesn't go up. Expect to add another 30-45 minute just trying to get out of the structure read more

The USC Village was University Village. This place is so cool. It must be nice to be a student resident in a brand new dorm facility with stores ,shops, and eateries within the complex. USC did it right. Security and safety as a priority for students is at its best here. With gates leading down to Heritage Hall, it's a great walk. read more

This review is specifically for the Amazon Hub Locker store located in the USC Village. I was unable to find a Yelp listing for it so if you know of one feel free to message me so I could transplant this review. About 2 month's ago I came here with a stereo receiver return that hasn't yet been received back. Thankfully a call to there customer service department saw that it wasn't something I did incorrectly and was able to process my return. 5 stars for there over the phone customer service. 1 star for the in-store person who assisted me. The young guy who's name I totally forget helped the people behind me first. 'Is that a return? Yes. Let me help these people first'. Now my turn. I place the box on the counter, he says he'll take care of it, but doesn't scan it in. Instead he just lets it sit there while continuing to help the rest of the people in the line. Here's the issue. If I walked away and someone came by and decided to walk out with it or anything else that could have happened I would have absolutely no proof of my own that I left this here to be returned. This was two month's ago and I don't remember if I patiently waited to cut in and ask for a receipt or not but I didn't leave until I did see him finally scan it which instantly led to an email confirmation. Thankfully I did because as I said it still hasnt been received back. If you still decide to go here I hope my experience helps. I'm sure this isn't a commonplace issue but it's difficult to say since I've only been here once. Also parking is metered along the street and I didn't see any structure so you may want to have some quarter's with you. read more

The most horrible place on earth. Don't live here. They did construction every single day from the day you move in to the day you move out (over 10 months), which included jackhammering bright and early during finals week and at night right under your bed! Also USC housing staff will randomly come into your apartment and room at all hours with no warning multiple times and scare you! Absolute hell hole. They'll also charge you way more to live in a shared room than it costs to live in a one bedroom apartment in LA. They don't pre notify residents of construction. Not only does the living situation suck, but scammy USC also scammed (fraud, misrepresentation, breach of contract) all the businesses in the village by lying to them and telling them they would have longer business hours. The businesses were also told that students could use dining dollars at the food establishments, but a lie yet again. Instead, they open up the USC dining hall where students can use their swipes. USC is such a scam hole full of crime and DPS running over and killing the students. Don't come here unless you have a death wish and want to be assaulted and/or shot and definitely robbed both by the surrounding community and the biggest criminal of all: University of Scam Central. 0 STARS! read more

Mask police harassed my friend and I today. My friend is going through a difficult divorce. We're both USC alums (and donors) and so enjoy meeting at the USC Village Starbucks for coffee. Outdoor dining has been allowed in LA for about a week now, but a USC employee kept stopping by our table to harass us by saying we had to put our mask on between sips. She wasn't harassing other Starbucks patrons saying they had to do so, or any of the other outdoor restaurants' diners saying they had to replace their masks in between bites. She stopped by our table 4 times to harass us, and then finally said in a threatening manner that she was going to "inform on us." I told her to go ahead. She glared at us while putting her phone to her ear. I have no idea if she was even on the phone with anybody, but this was ridiculous. My friend and I were seated at a table away from the walking path, and at least 10' away from the other Starbucks patrons. There's a difference between following science, following law, and what this person was exacting upon us. I am pro-mask, I am pro-vaccine. I am opposed to harassing people, and singling out darker-completed people in particular for harassment, as this purported employee was doing. I would not be surprised if another guest -- especially one who was a few beers in as there will be for Superbowl Sunday (tomorrow) -- tells her what to go do with herself. USC needs to tell her to knock this off. read more

This place is beautiful. Wish it was built before I graduated - It is really nice with Trader Joe's and Target. The Starbucks could be better but the interior looks awesome. Love the open spaces and the nice buildings. Hope they have more events in the square that would be nice. Parking is ok although I think that they could have built a larger parking lot. Oh, I wish they had more ice cream places. I guess you could just buy it of Target and Trader Joe's but more ice cream places would be good. read more

After finishing my first year as a graduate student, USC Village has been a great addition to the school and community. It is very convenient considering it has a Trader Joe's, Target, restaurants, Amazon Locker, and retail shops that is walking distance to campus. The architecture gives a Hogwarts vibe, and is a great place to hang out with your friends, or study at the Starbucks/local sitting areas nearby. In the mornings, I would stop by Sunlife Organics for a smoothie before walking to my 8AM class. For lunch, I would sometimes go to Cava and Dulce during my breaks in between classes. I do recommend trying out these restaurants. Rock & Reilly's is a staple for happy hour with a great variety of beers on tap, liquor, and a quick snack. I love this place! Go Trojans! read more

I haven't lived in the area that long, but USC Village has a lot of stuff. They have Target Express and Trader Joe's. They have restaurants and my favorite cafe, Cafe Dulce, is opening up soon. You can get your shoes fixed at the Village Cobbler. If I were a student, this little village is pretty neat and it would be cool to live there in the dorms. read more

The new development is great for the community and the school. My only gripe is the parking garage has really narrow entry and exit lanes for the underground parking garage. You can see that cars have already hit the poles on the side of the lanes. Additionally the parking is validated for the first two hours with purchase but for some reason my Target validated parking card still showed a $5 charge for the 10 minutes I parked there while picking up an item I purchased online. I went back up to Target and asked them to validate the card again but the associate said their computer said that it was already validated. He said to speak to the parking attendant. I went back to the underground garage and put the ticket in the machine. It still showed a $5 fee. I pressed the "help" button to speak to a worker. The button didn't work. With no one around and no other ticket machine, I just went back to the car. I went to the exit and there was no attendant. I pressed the help button but of course that didn't work either. I just paid the $5 and left. I doubt I will park in the underground lot again. There is no parking attendant to assist when the machine is broken. They should fix or otherwise make sure the parking machine is always working. read more

Liked it! First time visiting with my daughter who will go to USC in the fall! Really pretty and new... different stores.. some closed due to covid.. homeless diude ate at a table about 20 ft away.. he was singing the blues which I kinda enjoyed other than he was pretty rough lookin ... then he left and ianother homeless koo koo guy ran by and said he was too ugly for school a few times it was comical ... it's near the hood so homeless expected but such a pretty place lol..lotsa students in their grad garb.. walking around... I guess this is where my kid will be hanging? Student housing right there too... all buildings new and beautiful.. parking area attached underground but I parked directly across the street for free. USC also beautiful and deserted so eerily quiet like the apocalypse but at least we got to visit! Beautiful campus many new buildings and pretty fountains! Place we ate at was called cava I think .. The stores and restaurants are great. I like picking up my deliveries at the Amazon store. My biggest complaint is the parking. They should've built a larger garage. There's one lane to get into the garage and two lanes getting out of the garage. I don't know why it's always backed up getting INTO the garage. How hard is it to pull a ticket from the machine? I don't know if it just takes awhile for the machine to spit out a ticket for every car. read more

I stopped by to go to Target and Trader Joe's. The garage entrance is on Hoover and 32nd and they give you one hour with validation. Street parking is better if you can find it, no matter how many businesses you purchase and get validation from, you only get one hour. I love the USC Village! There are many dining options as well as a Target, Trader Joe's, Fedex, Abercrombie and Nail Garden. There are ample tables and lounges to eat and work at. There is underground parking lot with two free hours with validation. I recommend eating at Dulce, Sunlife and Cava! Healthy options as well as comfort food options.
