I visited the Cahill Main location during the outage. I asked why I did not receive an email…read morenotification about the outage and the manager said that they are not responsible for Verizon's failure to communicate because they were "independent" from Verizon. I asked whose name was on the wall and a customer started yelling at me from across the room and defending the salesmen. They did nothing to stop her so I told her to shut up. She then got up and came right at me saying "make me" in a threatening and provocative manner. She was very angry and unstable but the manager kicked me out of the store for telling this angry woman to shut up (which was their job), and he foolishly let her stay in the store, creating an obvious threat to others. They protected her because she defended them after they refused to do anything when she was yelling at me when I entered the store. I reported the company to DATCAP. The "executive" who handled the account said that he could not share any information about possible disciplinary action against the employee who enabled this insane interaction. In the next breath, he said that the store was an independent entity that was not under Verizon's control. This is the same lie that I was told by the store manager when I entered the store. This is a deceptive and illegal trade practice. Under agency law, the store is an agent of Verizon, and Verizon is responsible for its illegal and reckless conduct. Conversely, the store is responsible for Verizon's actions, including its failure to notify me of the outage, which cost me a client. Do not let these companies gaslight you. They do not care about your complaints, only their image. The employee in question should be fired for his failure to address this crazy woman and stop her from interrupting our conversation. He should be fired for not lifting a finger when this woman invited me into a physical confrontation. He should be fired for protecting her and asking me to leave the store because I told her to shut up. I would have never said a word if he had done his job and taken measures to protect me from this unstable, angry person. Finally, he should be fired for lying to me by saying that his store is not responsible for anything Verizon does. Whose name is on the wall?

Where to start -- I called this company and spoke with John about requesting some assistance with…read moreunlocking a phone for which I already had the unlock code. In addition to being extremely unhelpful, John was also very rude (off the charts so). Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. Einstein Wireless on the east side was able to help me with a smile -- and *free* of charge. When I called back to tell Mobile One Wireless (a) that their service on the phone was unacceptably horrible and (b) another company was extremely helpful and may get my business in the future, John was entirely uninterested. Then he hung up on me. Twice. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. At this point -- after trying to explain my concerns in a very polite, friendly way, I was spoken to aggressively and with profane language. I was threatened to be served with papers for harassment. I'm not making any of this up. I was told my phone calls were being recorded and that they knew my name. The person on the other end of the phone -- who identified himself as the owner, Rob (would not give his last name) -- also warned me not to call back, implying further retaliation. WOW. At the very least, these folks have anger management issues. At the very worst, I honestly would be afraid to run into them in a dark alley, let alone their storefront. Thank goodness I didn't actually need my cell phone repaired. And I sincerely hope no one else has to be subjected to this same kind of intimidation. There's absolutely no excuse for this, particularly not when the folks at Mobile One Wireless are expecting to be paid for performing a service. I filed a better business bureau complaint and let Mobile One Wireless know. Rob said he did not care, did not want my business, and is successful enough that he is able to pick and choose his customers. Ah, if only we could all be so lucky.

Then when you go into the shop, you find out they can't do it or that it will take an unreasonable amount of time. The person I interacted with did.not.care to help really - could not care less maybe is a better way to put it. I can't recommend them any more which is sad. Maybe they changed hands or something. Another thing - their system does not have a way to cancel your appointment; weirdly, you can change it but not cancel it. They take walk ins so not sure why the appointment is needed anyway.

I asked how the progress was on my phone, and they said they hadnt started it yet. They were incorrect, there WAS a diagnostic charge, and I could pay it right then. I said, how much was the charge, they said $40. I said, no thank you, and asked for my phone back. They seemed incredulous that I wanted my phone back. I will not be going back. I recently spent over an hour in there because the contacts on my Droid suddenly disappeared. I…read moreknew it wasn't a big deal because I had the backup assistant figured, but I didn't know how to use it or what happened to them in the first place. The reason that they get one star is not because they couldn't fix my phone. It's because all three guys working there seemed more interested in ordering lunch than assisting me. (And I was the only one in there!) Two of them tried to figure out what was wrong and kept on saying that the only way to get my contacts back would be to retrieve my previous phone. When I told them the error message that occurred regarding "TuneWiki" guy 1 asked what that was. Guy 2 went on to take my phone and show guy 1 what it was and telling him about it. (That couldn't happen after I leave?) These guys were horribly unprofessional and I will never be back to that Verizon store. I was able to retrieve my contacts later on. They were in my trash can on Backup Assistant. Even though guy 1 said that he checked there. Attention college students: This Verizon is convenient and right next to campus. But if you want people who actually know what they are talking about, I would go somewhere else. If you want to know what's good at the noodle place around the corner then this might be the Verizon for you.

For starters, the plans are cheaper than the other places. You can get unlimited everything for under $50.. if you want a little bit more, you can still pay under $60(like picture messaging). But again -- unlimited minutes. The next best part -- no contracts. I hate contracts. They lock you in, raise your rates, have stiff late-charges, etc.etc. With Einstein, if you don't pay your bill -- you'll lose service but you can just pay to reactivate it. No extra fees or whatnot attached so its much easier. Going into the store isn't always perfect and sometimes they are swamped. Going in to simply pay your bill can be a real hassle when there is a line. You're much better paying over the phone which is never too much of an issue.
