My head is swimming with spending hours upon hours of talking on the phone, dealing with receiving phones in the mail that don't work etc.O.k. So that is what COULD happen to you..unless you have an epiphany and walk into your local AT&T store like I did. Everything changed when I did that. I walked in and was greeted with a big smile by Jessica. She immediately made my 5 year old son at home by setting him up with some cartoons to watch and we got down to business. It was so fast, painless and easy to choose my new phone..and did I mention stress free? I noticed that the employees bustling around looked relaxed, happy and like they really enjoyed their jobs. This is always a great sign to me. Jessica's associate Phaedra then swooped in and was an expert/lifesaver who took me through the set up process. She was so thorough, so helpful and just really everything you could ever want if you were in my position. I can't believe I never knew about this before. I now have an incredible plan and phone..and feel like I got EXACTLY what I wanted. I could not be happier, and can not speak more highly of this great team of people.

I changed providers just a few days into their billing period - which bills in advance. I was really surprised by their policy where I had to keep paying for another month of coverage even after canceling my service. They charged me for a partial upfront when I signed up. Why can't they refund the 'unused' portion of the month? That just doesn't seem right to me. Why should I have to pay for a service I'm not even using anymore, especially if the reason for cancelling was because the coverage/service was bad? The customer service rep I talked to only stated it was their policy. It left me feeling pretty frustrated and let down. I don't remember them telling me that 15+ years ago, that I would have to continue paying after leaving them Probably a T-Mobile decision. When he realized that I was not going to give up, he offered me $60 in cash so that I would not go away mad. The cheaper phone that I had purchased before that, I was told, could not be unlocked for 6 months.
