My husband stayed here for 3 days, and the staff took very great care of not only him, but our…read moreentire family. The first night he was in the ER, one of the nurses brought him into a more comfortable bed and got me a nice big recliner to sleep in so I could stay next to him. The following day, he was moved up to floor 5, and they rolled in a couch and an extra recliner so my son and I could both sleep up there with him. They went above and beyond for all of us and even his care. Highly recommend.

I was not going to write about my Labor and Delivery with Dr Allen because it was not good and I…read moredidn't want to make her look bad. However, my midwife did an investigation into my medical file to make sure my current pregnancy is without a doubt low risk based off my past pregnancy, and she found some information in my chart that was disturbing. It is worth mentioning that my past review regarding PPD staff still stands though. So I ended up being induced, against my wishes. Dr Allen knew I wanted to go naturally yet insisted on induction because she stated she worried about my blood pressure, nosebleeds, swelling and headaches. She stated she knew that I wanted to wait (I was 38 weeks) but that it would be best. I pushed the subject and she gave me two extra days that she felt comfortable waiting. When I was induced, I declined the epidural. And this was the most pain I've ever experienced which was my own choice, I understand. However, the side effects of pitocin were NEVER discussed with me and I experienced the worst postpartum depression (an apparent side effect!!) as well my baby was so jaundice that she was under lights for a week after being discharged. My newborn's heels were pricked so many times they were bruised. It was heartbreaking. All because of Dr Allen thought it was best, right? All because I was almost at risk of being preeclamptic, right? Hm, maybe not. My midwife recently had a look at my medical chart and found out that I did not actually have hypertension. In fact, there were no medical issues noted and my BP was within the normal range. My gut told me three years ago that Dr Allen was just trying to get me scheduled so I'd deliver and she would have one less to worry with. It was a very busy delivery season, my friend in the NICU had already advised me of this fact. But I naively thought a doctor would not induce just because of their convenience. In addition, Dr Allen was not in the room when I gave birth. My mom noticed I was unable to communicate at all out of the intense pain I was under and saw my baby's head, so she yelled out my door for a nurse or ANYONE really. My mom ended up being the reason my baby didn't end up on the hospital floor. The cherry on top, the staff made my mom sign a document stating that Dr Allen was actually in the room when I delivered eventhough she wasn't. I don't recommend Dr Allen or Women's Integrated Healthcare or Medical City Alliance. Unless you can skip Labor and Delivery and go straight to Postpartum Recovery.

I cannot say enough good things about the experience that I just had with my Mom. Between the staff…read moreand my Moms doctor I knew they had my Moms best interest at heart. They were very thorough and kept digging... the doctor was by far one of the most compassionate people I have met in a long time let alone a doctor. He was checking up on Mom often making sure her pain was at bay and even brought her ice chips. The staff was sweet and attentive always letting us know what was going on and never leaving us waiting. I was so worried taking her there because of some of the reviews but at no time did I feel uncomfortable or that the care she was receiving wasn't too notch. Thanks again for taking our worries about going to the ER right now and putting them to rest so we could worry about my Moms pain and getting her well again.

Wow. My experience here was the worst I've ever had. My son was hemorrhaging post tonsillectomy…read more(throwing up blood, etc), and I was told BY THE DOCTOR "there's nothing we can do". What? This is a facility meant to treat EMERGENCIES. Luckily they got in contact with Cooks and figured out that, surprise, there was actually something that can help stop this type of bleed (which is a well known treatment). What utter incompetence. Children are people too. One would think you'd be able to count on an ER in a suburban area for reasonable help. The only two bright sides was the man who drew my son's blood for testing and the woman at check in. Im thankful my son is now fine and recovering (thank you cooks children) but people should be able to count on the nearest ER for support, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Do better for community you serve.
