Why are all the other area Post Offices working and providing good service except for the Columbia PO. I have repeatedly go to Lewisburg or Spring Hill to mail packages versus Columbia. If time is limited try the Columbia PO yesterday--again line to the end of the building only one (1) clerk working. Even the Automated Mailing kiosk was down ---incredible. However, saw 2 clerks go in out of the service area did not help the incredible line. I bet the Post Office manager probably goes to other local towns to mail their packages. read more

We haven't had mail for a week. No way to call the post office. We live 5 minutes from Spring Hill PO but our mail is delivered from the Columbia PO. I get informed delivery and have seen several tax forms that are suppose to come plus a package from Amazon is to be delivered by USPS and it is still not out for delivery when it has been there for over a week. read more

Don't trust the stated hours on the website. I drove an hour to get here, just to find they weren't open despite the webpage and multiple other sources saying they were. Also, they have a paper sign on the door stating that they don't do passport photos anymore - despite the website and government website stating otherwise. Waste of time. read more

Outrageous. The post office makes a mistake, and then is actually RUDE to the customer. Shameless and proud. Benjamin Franklin must be turning in his grave. I was taught as a child, if you make a mistake, admit it, and show remorse and try to make amends for the mistake. Especially if you caused harm. Well, I guess those values do not mean anything if you work at this post office. The post office failed to deliver a 1st class letter claiming "wrong address", but the address was accurate and correct. Post office has refused to deliver packages to me on two separate occasions! They claim delivering a 26 pound barstool is a safety hazard! For the life of me, I can't figure out how they can get away with taking money for a delivery and then simply deciding not to deliver it. I received a notice stating I needed to go retrieve the box myself at the post office, however the address for said PO is crossed out. The post office in question is a 45-60 minute round trip. I paid for delivery, not a partial delivery. If I wanted to pick it up, I would have gone to an actual store and made the purchase. The USPS is literally stealing our money by refusing to do their jobs! I've never experienced or even heard of a postal branch refusing to deliver a package that is properly packaged and well within their max weight and size requirements. Zero oversight or a means of lodging a complaint, aside from complaint directly to the USPS, which of course, netted no response of any sort. This is why most people would never opt to use the USPS for anything, ever. UPS and FedEx seem to mage delivering pretty much anything. I'm disgusted with the USPS! read more

First class service means shit to the clowns at this place. Again, just because I'm not having a delivery from Amazon, they are not running my route. This means my customers aren't getting packages picked up from my location. The "schedule pickup" option is coincidentally "not available" anymore. What a joke. read more

I live in an apartment complex with lockboxes the lockboxes are old and one doesn't even open. We've complained more times than can be counted to have the box fixed and have only been ignored. It's at the point now where I have to go out of my way to find online retailers that I can order from who use FedEx or UPS so I'll actually get my package. USPS sucks in a way that is legendary. I've even left notes to bring packages to my door which is right by the exit it's at the point where people who live here have to wait days after the package arrived to get it. read more

I live on Knob creek rd. It is way out in the country, so far out that no local resturants will deliver. Yet our postman is always on time, always friendly. I have heard many people complain about usps and their mail delivery and it made me realize I am lucky to have the postal delivery person I have. Went there the other day and the line was about 10 people deep. As I entered the lobby, a new employee, female plus size asked if I was picking up or dropping off to which I said no. She was unwilling to do any other tasks for the people in line and sat there doing nothing. The next person behind me came and was asked the same question to which he replied, I just need a stamp. She did not reply. She needs to be fired, plan and simple. The other younger guy Daryl I think it is, does paperwork all while the line continues to get bigger and obviously has not been told to do that when there is not line and at a later time. I shipped a package from Carrollton, Texas to a customer who had moved to Columbia, Tennessee. I realized that I'd incorrectly written the street number on the mailing label after it was shipped. I googled to find out how to go about redirecting this package or to somehow make sure it was delivered to the correct address. I was told by a postal supervisor that she would notify the postal distribution center and would also contact the Columbia, TN post office to ensure that the label was corrected before delivery was attempted. I received delivery notification that it was delivered to front porch. I wanted to make sure it went to my customer & was unable to reach her. I found the post office number & explained to a supervisor what I needed. She confirmed that the street number had been corrected early this morning before she'd arrived & the carrier had delivered it to the correct address. Thank you COLUMBIA, TN postal employees & mail carriers for taking care of a situation that could have turned into a big problem! Great customer service is hard to come by these days!!!! read more

I have to share this because I literally was floored at the amazing customer service and wonderful attitude each business postal service representative was to me and my husband. First the woman who works there that I met first was on the phone. I was making an apt to get a passport, which is next to nearly impossible with my Franklin post office a black away from my residence. In one day which was by appointment the Columbia office took me and was very kind. When I arrived there was no wait and at least 4 workers addressed us positively with amazing efforts to go the extra mile to help me do what needs to be done when we had a question. Picture taking process was pleasant and I didn't have people ignoring me til they call my name, nor did they make a face or seem irritated or needed a Rolaids when servicing me. I highly recommend this particular post office and give them a big thumbs up! People here are incredibly rude. They closed PO Box and demanded $96 due to them losing my check or failing to cash it (still not exactly sure). Showed check stub, they still refused to give me my mail and threatened to return to sender. Wasted morning trying to rectify situation. Every employee that works here is incompetent, wont communicate, constantly makes mistakes and could seemingly care less about the customer OR the mail. I had called yesterday and sat on hold for over 40 min waiting for them to provide a solution. Left me on hold, never to return. How this is considered a legitimate USPS is amazing to me. This is an extremely careless operation that completely neglects the customer. The manager of this location is clueless and lazy, and her staff reflects that. If you dont want your mail held hostage, or your time to be wasted by lazy people with little concern for your parcel, make it a point to get a PO box elsewhere. read more
