Melissa was just amazing! My package was sent back due to my lot being "vacant" I just bought the house, however at the post office ofensia (dont know how to spell her name) was rude kept telling me she had already sent my package back to the seller, I kept explaining to her that just an hour ago I had received an email stating my package was being held at the post office to come in. Constantly getting the wrong mail and packages ! Currently missing a package and who knows who has it!! Horrible service.

I have ben trying to call for 2 days and no one picks up the phone, let it ring for over 30 minutes at a time and still no answer. I put my mail on hold and there was still mail delivered while on hold for at least 2 days. My hold mail was to be delivered on 1-29 and I still have not received it as of 1-30 and cannot get through to the post office to find out where it is. At least twice a week my mail is delivered to thee neighbors. I have informed delivery so that is how I know of all my missing mail. I would not even give them 1 star of I could. read more

The worst service ever. I live in Antioch and unfortunately I've been told by our post office that our mail goes through Lake Villa. I was given their phone number and no one answers the phone. I made a visit there at 3pm and was told the supervisor was at lunch. I knew I was being lied to and left my name and number anyway. I got the text that a package delivery was made in my mailbox on Sunday. It was, however, unfortunately mid- delivered to a wrong address. I called Lake Villa Post office Monday morning to report. Ms Heidi and Mr Manny not only located where the package was delivered, but also made sure that our mailperson, Mr Brian retrieve it and get it to me by yesterday evening. Thanks so much. I have had the worst mail delivery problems with this post office. 3 days ago, I retrieved 4 letters from my mailbox, addressed to a different house number. This is far from a one-time occurrence, it happens several times a month. It is like the person delivering the mail can not read or does not care. Complaining does no good. read more

On Thursday 4/4/19 There was a notice let in my mailbox for an undelivered item. The reason for the non-delivery was checked on the left side of the notice. I wrote on the notice that since there was no reason, to please deliver and signed the front and placed it back in the mail box. The next day, the notice was written on (still no reason checked) and "sign back" was written over my writing on the front. I signed the back and selected "deliver to front door". The following day, Saturday informed delivery said the package was out for delivery. My letter carrier clearly irritated by this time chose not to deliver it. This meant I had to wait for the package until MONDAY! (the package was time sensitive). It took an additional 5 days to receive my package from original date it should have been delivered. In addition to this incident, much of my mail again, informed delivery either shows up late or not not at all. Also, I often receive mail that is not addressed to me. read more

Omg this post office is the worse I've ever encountered. They are so rude. They throw packages. Leave them out in the rain. Are lazy. Do not ring your doorbell. Drive like maniacs. Speed all around. A envolope will say do not bend and the carrier will bend it and put it in your mailbox. They are a disgrace to the post office. The attorney general needs to look into the lake villa post office. The mail lady in our housing complex repeatedly mixes up the mail and delivers to wrong addresses ? That's only part of the problem. When you call in to report this to the local office, the site manager acts like 'how dare you report such a thing' then, ignores you and does nothing. This same mail lady was then caught lying by the GPS tracker on the delivery trucks, about delivering special service mail (ie needing a signature ) to the door. She was lazy and just put a notice in the mailbox instructing that you need to go to post office and pick it up yourself ! Again, the local managers wanted to sweep it under the carpet. You were forced to climb the ladder to the regional office before someone would listen & take action. I have enjoyed the service I've received from the Post Offices where I've lived, however the service at the Lake Villa, Il. 60046 Post Office is horrible. The carrier never co.es to the door if you need a signature. When we come back from vacation, our accumulation of mail is never delivered as requested the next day. If you call & talj to a supervisor they also don't care. These people must not like their jobs read more

Worst postal company I have ever had to deal with. Mail doesn't come at all or very late at night. We get neighborhood mail mixed together. Even a tracked package will day out for delivery and you have to wait by the window for the mailman to come and go outside and tel them to look for your package. This rating is for the Antioch and Lake Villa Post Offices, they have got to be the WORST people to deal with. Nobody knows anything to help you with your mail concerns. We scheduled a passport with photo service for our Daughter and were surprised how pleasant the experience was. We were greeted by Mary after she finished helping the gentleman in front of us. She gave us a brief overview of the process and then gave me a few minutes to finish nursing before we proceeded to have our picture taken. Mary was a pro with our toddler and told us how we could help make it easier for her to get the photo. Then Mary walked us through the rest of the paperwork to ensure everything was completed accurately. While we were completing paperwork, other customers had walked in so she quickly called for back up to ensure they were serviced in a timely manner. Overall, It was Mary that made the experience effortless and quick while still ensuring other customers needs were met as well. I wish other post office visit experiences were like this or maybe the front line staff had the same customer service that Mary offered! read more

Lake Villa post office is absolutely the worst post office ever. I constantly get other peoples mail. I leave notes with my flag up saying "not my mail" and I'll still get that mail 2 days later. I even get mail from other towns!! And saturdays, my mail arrives after 5pm. Complaining to the post office gets you nowhere. I wish I could leave negative stars, because 1 Star is not even close to being accurate. read more
