There's always only one person working even though they have three registers available. Unlike every other post office in the US that has a designated space for pre-postage drop offs. This one has a sign on the counter that stating that you cannot. I'm a small business owner, I don't need to stand in line for 45 minutes during my lunch just to drop off a package that I already did all of the work on.

This place feels like small town, USA...I loved my two minutes in this location but I wished it was longer. The workers in here were so efficient that they got me in and out within a flash. Yes this will not happen in downtown Chicago...I usually have to wait in line for 30 minutes just to get service but not here. The old guy waiting behind me walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter said, "You need one first class stamp!" She actually knew what the guy wanted before he got to the counter. He probably stops in every day just to buy one stamp. How cute is that? I can hardly wait to come back here. I may just get in my car and drive all the way here from downtown Chicago...it actually might be faster. Really!!!

I think it was Preti, or similar. anyways she was very kind, and even took my son's passport photo. she was patient with him, and allowed me to ensure he was safe. if you look at my other reviews you'll see my son was injured attempting to take his passport photo at the USPS in vernon hills. Well I recommend coming here to grayslake for all your passport needs! She also explained to me in detail what each charge was for and gave me a little envelope for my son and i's passport photo (extra). I would definitely return :)
