Good location! The building itself is old and needs a little face lift, but besides that the employees are super nice, friendly, and helpful. This location also provides a lot of services in addition to mail, like applying for passports. We just applied for my sons passport recently and it was a breeze with their help (just make sure to print off and fill out the application online before you come in). The mail service and delivery from this post office is disgustingly bad! For five years, I've been missing mail, but getting my neighbors mail, constantly. My packages for my business supplies are always late and it's caused me to lose money. I even had $1000+ priority box that required a signature just left on the sidewalk in front of my building!!! Each week I get a different neighbor's mail! I can only imagine where my mail ends up. I've received very private and important mail for people all over the city of Rockford. Unbelievable. I've lived in three major cities, and this is the worst mail service I've ever experienced in my life. I know it's not just me because similar experiences are posted all over social media, and I personally know people who are going through this all the time as well. read more

I have been to this post office and the one on Kilburn multiple times about them changing my address without my consent when my daughter moved out. They have claimed to fix the issue multiple times, yet my important mail is still being sent to the wrong address and I've missed due dates because it's being forwarded to the wrong address. They do not have the correct phone number listed so contacting them is impossible. I have health problems and can't continue to travel to the post office, wait in the long lines, and be lied to about a resolution to their mess up. read more

I put a change of address in on January 18, 2019. Today is February 12 and so far I have yet to receive any of my bills or regular mail. You can't reach a live person by phone and I am 1400 miles away so I cant come in. I did speak with my carrier and she said my order is correct so then the question is what has the postal SERVICE done with my mail? I used to be a mail carrier back in the day when Rockford still had control over the mail. Now they are at the hands of Carol Stream who does who knows what with the mail. AVOID THIS STATION!!Broke the strap on my mask on the way in so I placed my pre-paid package in the bins behind the counter as employee s there have told me it OK to do as long as it was pre paid postage noticed the lady behind the counter glaring at me like she was going snap!Well my package with 200.00+worth of merchandise ends up disappearing without a trace ,I have got attitude from the lady before without provocation but now it has gone to unacceptable Will be contacting the Post Mater General for what its worth and will never do business here again! read more

I wish every post office was like this one. -Big -Generally, friendly staff -They let me drop off addressed packages on the counter rather than waiting in line (if they already have postage) Plenty of PO boxes and lots of packaging for those last minute needs. I came here three times to get a passport. The first time I was greeted by Jennifer who gave me and my boyfriend the application and we made an appointment. We came to our appointment and we both only had a copy of our birth certificate so Jennifer told us to come back with an original copy. The third time we came Mary was working the desk and before she even greeted us she rudely said to me "I hope you have another copy of your birth certificate because we do not accept this" when in fact the last time we came all they said was to bring an original copy. My boyfriend then told her that she didn't need to have an attitude about it and she still continued to argue back and still had an attitude. She then went to go get Jennifer and we heard her say "you need to finish up with them because I can't" and Jennifer who was very nice to work with finished ringing us up. DO NOT work with MARY!!!! Ask for Jennifer if you need anything done here! read more

For some reason Mary always waits on me and always has an attitude. She looks disgusted as soon as she notices me in line. Wth? Maybe because I've asked questions, or maybe because i wasn't happy with losing items through the mail. She is the only one that isn't customer friendly to me. read more

The workers here are mostly friendly. There are usually lines and using the self service is sometimes faster. There are PO boxes if you need one and have 24 hour access. read more

Open Until 7Pm weeknights, 3:30 PM Saturdays-who could ask for anything more? After those generous hours there is a kiosk for packages that works great as long as they fit in the chute. The kiosk will also do priority mail envelopes. I am quite sure you can do express as well but I have never used the express option. The staff is very helpful. read more

Sent a package from here to San Antonio Tx on Dec. 4th and it made it all the way to Dallas and now it's back in Chicago. Somebody has done explaining to do. I am pissed. read more
