I was polite ,but ask more than one question (first time customer )USPS for returns and the lady was so disrespectfully rude that I left there shaken , the second clerk while she was rude, screaming, nasty and dismissive, was sitting there and laughing throughout the whole process straight in my face. She also told me that customers are not always right, and I can take my shit to UPS if that's what I usually use I asked to talk to a manager and I asked for her name her respond was: you're not getting my name and turned her back to me I left there without sending in my packages, called the company and switched the return label to UPS read more

My delivery person told me that they don't like me and they don't want to give me my packages. I have informed delivery so I know when she Holds back my mail which is often. She has held back checks and materials for jobs that I have Been waiting for. She held back an important check for a whole month. All I did was asked for her to shut my front gate. She Lied and said that my dog scared her even though there were no dog outside. And I am literally helpless. Everyone at this post office are watching each other's back. They clearly hate the locals. Never thought I'd be writing a 5 star review for a post office, and yet - here we are. Is it perhaps that the bar was so low from the years of interfacing with curmudgeonly staff at other locations across the DMV and NJ/PA/DE Tri-state areas? Who's to say. The only interactions I've had at this location have been positive and that's worth noting. The parking lot isn't without its flaws but I have always received kind and courteous help from staff here and dare I say it's even been downright friendly on occasion! Hope I didn't jinx it. I'd give 0 stars if it let me. the WORST post office I've ever had to deal with. employees are rude & full of attitude. They lied about picking up a package yesterday. I got a confirmation email & it was still on my porch 2 days later. I cannot get anyone on the phone. It rings a lot then there's a message to enter my outside reference code. It's difficult to reach the main post office number as well, but they do call you back. This post office even refused to let my husband in the door even though it was technically still open. I went to the Bedford Road post office to send off a package Friday and was shocked to find a note on the door closed due to staffing shortage. This post office is close to my home, so I find the convenience in that. Otherwise, it's not a good business. Self service is supposed to be from 8-6 for people to use their P.O. Box. The door was locked and the woman to open didn't show up until 8:40. Staff is also rude. I do not recommend this post office. read more

If I could give zero stars would definitely give them zero stars terrible service rude ghetto girls upfront that act like every customer knows what they're getting I never mailed anything before but they assume I knew what priority and first class was. Not everyone in the world shipped items out. This is one the worst run PO I have ever had the displeasure of being plagued by. Constantly mark packages as delivered when they're no where to be seen. Can't even get them to pick up the phone when packages are marked delivered but missing. When you go in person and ask for help they act like you just spit in their food. Front facing employees are often rude and unhelpful and have you jump through hoops to find your package. It's literally a crap shoot. Every other package processed from this place they'll mark as delivered and then drop it off a week later. If you hate your job this much why stay? read more

Good Monday Morning Everyone ! I'm giving this Branch 5 Starts, because for some reason the Postal Employees get a bad rap, and I personally do not think it is fair. These Men & Women work hard, but are very unappreciated. This is my home post office, and no I do not frequent this location, because I normally use the post office close to my place of employment, which is Elkridge. While there is no way I would want to trade places with these Employees, because I'm much too old, they do not get any respect. As I mentioned before, on a previous review, they are "Civil Service Employees", Not "Customer Service Employees". They get no bonuses, no praise or recognition from their Superiors or other similar types of incentives. Yes they do make a decent salary, & have excellent benefits, but that's about it. So let's all take a deep breath, and extend a little more consideration. Personally I think they're easy targets. We need to send some of these same complaints to those overpaid Politicians ! Canceled passport appointment made weeks before -30 minutes ahead of meeting. Said they were understaffed. They had two people working and 4 people on line with no new customers arriving. They refused to take us. Sent us to security walk-in where there was one (amazingly helpful woman) the 4 people behind us waiting to mail things had to wait 45 minutes for us to be done. Why do customers in security mall have to wait and but not the customers in Pikesville. it's ok for security office to be understaffed while Pikesville employees send all of the passport appointments there. This sounds very shady. We have already started doing research and the Pikesville staff are canceling these passport appointments and sending ppl to security on the regular. read more

Consistently poor service. I get that they are understaffed because the government has significantly underfunded them, but it cannot explain the horrible customer service you get from many of the workers once you are at the counter. A few workers try and be pleasant, but their obvious strategy of minimal effort is impossible to miss. They also pad their statistics by reporting items with tracking numbers as "ready for pickup" online. Except they are not. They're at another building about a mile away. If you ask to go over to the other building to get them, they won't let you. You have to wait another day for it to make the trip from one building to the next. I would give them zero starts if I could. My certified mail was not even attempted to be delivered. They returned it as addressee unknown when they delivered other mail to my inbox same day. I visited the next business day in the morning and they claimed my mail had been sent back to the sender and was not at their outfit which makes no sense except if they had it sent back at night beyond their working hours. I have called numerous times to complain and all their excuses and supposed attempts to check if they have my mail have yielded no results. I stopped by this place to mail a package. Not my home office, but I was in the neighborhood. I realized I needed to grab a USPS bag to ship it in, as the box I had wasn't the right one for the label. No biggie. I get up to the counter and the horrible bitchy agent was like you need tape, it's three dollars over there. Are you kidding me? Every other post office will package the thing up for me, tape included and tape the label on it. Not here y'all. Tape must be a big deal, gold maybe. I bring in my postage paid packages for my business, & for the last few months rarely are they scanned, sometimes sent to the wrong distribution centers or scanning does eventually show up, but 2-3 weeks later, and 2 packages still show as awaiting receipt at post office, even though I brought them in to Pikesville 3 weeks ago, where are they? When I started doing reviews on yelp my goal was to only review places that really impressed me for quality and customer service. My rationale was that maybe if I had a bad experience it was a one-off situation or maybe I'd caught the person on a bad day. This will be my first, and hopefully only negative review. Congrats Pikesville Post office! It's my local post office, and is consistently filled with the most mean-spirited employees ever assembled. It's not that they operate strictly by the book, which is how most post offices work, it's how rude, demeaning and dehumanizing they are when they do have to enforce a rule. If you hate your job, that sucks and I get it, but why do you have to take it out on me and other customers? Today was an especially good example: I was running late, made it to the door at 4:55, grabbed a flare rate box, packed it, sealed it, headed to the counter at 5:00 with my package and a prepaid printed shipping label. All I needed was two strips of tape to finish, hand it over and leave. There was no "i'm sorry but rules are rules" or even any other statement that would have let me leave with some understanding, nor obviously was there any willingness to accommodate a small request and allow me to ship my package. What I received was "well you'd better find some tape and come back tomorrow, should've thought about that before you left." Keep in mind this statement was accompanied by a look of judgement on the employee's face that could not be mistaken for anything other than pure contempt for me and my perceived stupidity. You know, because I'm a real SOB for having a full time job and having to finish a project up before I left for the weekend. How dare I think maybe I could squeeze this stop in before the end of the day and at least give it a shot. This is not the first time they've been that rude to me, or that rude to others while I was in line, it's a common and recurring theme around their customer-hating culture. I've had great experiences at just about every other post office inside and outside of the city limits, this one is consistently the worst experience no matter when I go. I'm sure I'll have to use them again, and I'm sure I'll be treated less than human again, but I will keep on attempting to avoid this place whenever I can manage. I'd suggest you do the same to save yourself from such an abysmal and mean-spirited group of people behind the counter. read more

Via the tracking number, I was expecting a package to be delivered on January 2, 2019. Today is January 5, 2019; I just got an email from HSN, the sender, explaining that have received a return; the same item I've been waiting for is now back in Florida! How did this happen? Did the carrier decide he/she was not going to deliver and simply sent it back? The last activity referencing that tracking number was December 29, 2018, which was provided to me by the post office. The P.O. cannot say package was undeliverable because I was literally home for the holidays. read more
