So there I was, just on the edge of Ann Arbor, and I needed to hit the post office to pick up some stamps. I had a difficult decision ahead of me, as I was equidistant from the Ann Arbor location on Stadium and the suburban office in Saline. What the heck? Might as well take the chance to see how things are done a little further out from the urban center. You know, if you can even call Ann Arbor an urban center. Maybe I got lucky, but there was no line, one very friendly clerk, and an entire display of delightful stamps for my mailing pleasure. Seriously, I am regretting that I didn't snap a pic of the case, because it was filled with a slew of options. There was a little friendly chit chat between me and the clerk, who seemed genuinely interested in my conundrum of picking out stamps for my daughter's invitations. For the record, I think I did rather well. Then I was done. In the parking lot I realized I was also reasonably close by to what some people say is the best "party store" in the region. Sure, it's a little out of the way. But I got out of there quickly, the place was super clean, and the service was friendly. Plus I got to follow it up with a beer run. I think I may have found my new local post office! Fingers crossed that all future experiences are this great. read more

This post office has a machine you can use to print your own shipping labels that is open 24/7, and it's a hell of a lot better to use than risking getting one of the rude people at the front desk to help you. The only downside is that if you take too long the whole printing and payment process starts over again. read more

I live in Saline, Michigan and yesterday I was home, in my basement, when there was a knock on my front door. I was expecting an important package that was signature required. Even so, I am 70 years old and partially handicapped, so it took me a minute get upstairs and answer. By the time I had, the postal carrier had returned to his truck at the end of my driveway. I was only about 20 feet away and I called to him. He ignored me, jumped into his van and sped off. I was confused by figured he hadn't heard me. But I live on a small cul-du-sac, so I knew he had to come back by my house. I stood in the middle of my street so he wouldn't miss me. As he drove back by, I waved both arms and called out to him. He again ignored me, driving withing a couple feet of where I stood, and parked at a house across the street about two doors down. I began walking toward his van and I again called out to him as he got out with some mail. Suddenly, he turned toward me and screamed, "You're not getting your package today! You didn't answer your door quick enough!" Stunned, I said, "Sorry, but I'm here now. Can I just sign for it?" Once again, he yelled, "NO! You don't get it today!" This went back and forth a couple more times as we walked toward one another. Finally, he came up to me, got within a couple of inches from my face (he was unmasked, by the way) and screamed, "Get out of MY face! I'm calling the Postal Police!" I said, "Please do. I just want my package." He yelled the same thing again and I said, "Fine. I'm calling the Saline police. As I was making the call, he delivered mail to a few houses when he saw me on my phone. He ran back to his van, jumped in an drove off quickly without finishing deliveries on our street. The police chased him down. When the office came to my house a few minutes later, he informed me the carrier still refused to give me my package and he recommended I call the local Saline Post Office. So I did. I talked to a woman who told me the postmaster was busy with a customer. I gave her all the details of what had happened and she promised the postmaster would call me right back. More than an hour passed and no call. I called again and this time the postmaster was the one answering the phone. As I expected she knew most of the details, I just quickly recounted my experience and asked to get my package redelivered. She shrugged off my concerns and told me that I would get it the next day. I explained to her that the package contained something I desperately needed. She again curtly refused, saying if someone volunteered to deliver it, it MIGHT get delivered that same day. I asked if she could deliver it herself and once again, she refused. Long story short--the package was finally delivered today by a very courteous, and completely different, postal carrier. I want to also point out that the original carrier never left a note on my door--although he claims he did--and his action of screaming within inches of my face while maskless jeopardized me due to my existing health issues. The belligerence and completely uncalled for behavior by the postal carrier was beyond disturbing. His actions were totally unhinged and he may well be a danger to other people. Furthermore, the postmaster was very unprofessional and made zero attempt at resolving the problem. Instead, she exacerbated it by refusing to listen to my concerns and simply having the carrier redeliver my package since he was still in my area. I have made a formal complaint to the USPS and they are investigating both the original postal carrier and the postmaster, who was extremely rude, insulting and disrespectful of me and my desperate need of my package. This is easily the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received, bar none. read more

There is one nice nice post worker there that I have encountered but the majority are very rude and unpleasant. Look at you dumb when you ask basic questions. I asked for the cheapest shipping method and found out later she actually charged me for a more expensive one. I get why they have bad reviews at this location. read more

I like the people who work at this post office. They are consistently polite and cheerful. One might get the impression that they actually have fun working here together. I try to avoid going there after 4:00 pm. The place can get very busy, with the line almost out to the lobby. There is an automated postage machine in the lobby. There is a FedEx box out front, which might be helpful. read more

The level of incompetence at the Saline Post Office is astonishing. I've had to call four times now to have my packages that said were delivered to my mailbox and or front door, be retrieved from other people's homes.Most of them have been opened by the resident they were wrongly delivered to. This is absolutely asinine that the post office cannot read an address and get it correct when I can stand at the end of my driveway and see the post office. If I could give zero Stars I would. read more

Solid 2.5 stars in reality, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and round up to 3. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking, but I find the staff grumpy and disengaged. I stopped by this morning to mail a package. Though the sign said they opened at 8:30 a.m., it was closer to 8:35 before the doors were unlocked. By that time, a small crowd had gathered. When they opened, without apology, there was only one person working the counter, so we moved inside and then got in line. Really not a positive experience, but pretty typical of what I've experienced here. read more

This is my favorite post in the Ann Arbor area. The staff friendly and enjoyable to talk to and the line is usually fairly speedy. For a man who has been to many post offices around the united states, this is the one i have always felt the most welcome at. read more

I had a missing package and went to the post office to try to track it down. The Post Master was extremely courteous and understanding, and very helpful. She informed me that if it did not show up in a couple of days, to come back and that she would help me with the next step of tracking it down.
