It's free to travel within the downtown area and just a couple of dollars to ride further out. The transportation was easy to use, with clean buses and trolleys, and clear signage. A real asset for an urban city.

Due this sensitive situation the bus driver involved police and emergency. Police advised me to be accompany to the emergency room for make sure if everything ok. And I was taken to the emergency room to check my head injury and did CT head scan. Now, I am facing a lot of emergency billing from emergency ambulance and hospital that I had due this incident. UTA claim department informed me that in their general case any kind of injury they will going to cover only 3 thousand. It is insane , because emergency and ambulance did not cost this amount. Total now amount to pay is close to 6 thousand total. And I am mad that this kind of corporate business not willing to cover total bill of people's injury that was cased by their employee bad training. I just want to be aware if you riding in UTA ride bus or any transportation due any injury by their employee case they are not going to be cover your expense, and you will be responsible for paying bill yourself. As a low income, I am straggle to pay this enormous bills. Just be aware better to avid riding on UTA transportation because it is not safe and you are responsible for your health. Bus driver in UTAH did not train well, and always harsh stop and any stations, driver do not wait when after you enter seat, they immediately drive after you hop on on a bus. As, a low income employee I am not able to afford have a car. That is why I use only transit UTA when going to buy food. My general transportation except UTA ride, is my bike.

UTA is apparently not smart enough to realize that calling a station "North Temple" and then…read morecalling another station 4 stops away "North Temple Bridge" causes needless confusion, wrong exits, and missed transfers. Seriously, no one thought that maybe it would be smart to only have one stop called North Temple? What kind of incompetent fools planned this piece of crap? Also, it should be obvious (although I'm sure it's not to the bureaucrats at UTA), but the terminals for buying tickets are clunky, dysfunctional, and extremely unintuitive. The touchscreen is apparently from 1990 with a sweet 4-second lag time. Want your terminals to be damaged from people punching them in frustration? Then you're in the right place. Say you want to catch the Frontrunner from the airport down to Utah county... Good luck magically knowing that you need a Frontrunner ticket starting at the North Temple station (oh, and that's the North Temple *Bridge* station of course, not the 1940 North Temple station). I still have no clue if I'm also supposed to pay for a Trax ticket from the airport to North Temple (again, obviously not the non-bridge North Temple, as that wouldn't transfer you anywhere). The Trax train very conveniently doesn't say 704 anywhere on it, just "GRN" (which obviously means green?) despite Google and the UTA trip planner giving the number 704. But rest assured, that number is just there to help confuse you, since you wont be able to find it anywhere. I've travelled around the world and the UTA transportation here wins for the most retarded piece of crap I've ever seen. Don't waste your time. It's not worth the hassle of trying to figure out UTA's nonsense, as the concept of usability in a mass transit system never crossed their mind.

Utah Transit Authority is very uncaring. The bus I take to the Trax Station is the first bus on…read morethat route. It does not come until 6:43 in the morning. There used to be a bus at 5:25 am, 6:05 am and 6:35 am. They took away the first two and made the next one come later. At that time, I had to be to work at 7am. By taking away those buses, they made me late for work. I had to plead with my boss to change my starting time so I could get there on time. They charge a fortune to ride, $2.50. Yesterday, my driver was early getting to the Trax stop and he opened the doors and had a bunch of people get off before we got to the stop. Today, he was late getting there and made us wait to get off at the stop which caused us to nearly miss the train. There is no rhyme or reason to their thinking. I actually heard one bus driver tell another who was being trained, that if they are 7 minutes late, that is not considered late by UTA. Don't they understand that the seven minutes can make the difference between someone arriving to work on time and being late, or making their connection or having to wait? I think they do know and they just don't care. They are only interested in lining their own pockets at the expense of the public.
