I bought this truck from Washington State (I live in Minnesota) because I wanted a rust free truck to replace the one I sold. With that it was completely stock. No upgrades had been done to it. So I started searching for a shop capable to do the work I wanted done to it. Falling down the rabbit hole I found Utah Diesel Center and Cameron the owner. I read every review I could find and watched every video also. I then made the call and talked to Melissa (who is awesome) and Jed (my project contact). My list was long and specific. Water pump, body mounts, cold air intake, EGR, turbo downpipe, FASS lift pump, BANKS rear differential and transmission cooler covers, Redhead steering gear, transmission cooling lines and transmission cooler. When Jed came back with the estimate to do the work it was not small but less than many other shops I checked. I dropped the truck off and they had it for a month (which was my plan) and they had no issue getting the truck done. The drive home to Minnesota from Utah went without a hitch. It has been running great and I'm about to get its first oil change since I bought it. So if you're looking for a solid shop with decent rates and a great team to work on your diesel.....and I mean any diesel engine (kinda crazy. To reply to Cameron, you didn't fix a thing on our truck and you know it! So for the price you charged us, it was OUTRAGEOUS, DISHONEST, A LIE and not worth a penny. You made our truck run way worse In fact another very good and trust worthy diesel mechanic shop that our truck was towed to from ur shop said. Not one thing u claimed to have fixed was even fixed! You not only ruined my truck more you lied and charged me for work that was never done. You lied and stole from us. Then told us to just go fast on the freeway to get the stale smoke out of the muffler.. that could have blown our engine had we listened to you. You guys don't know what your doing and it amazes me your even still in business. Took my Chevy Duramax truck in for service as my truck had gone into reduced power mode. I didn't have an appointment but they worked it in and finished it the same day. Cameron was awesome. Honest with me from the start. I asked him what can I do to improve my fuel mileage, and he told me some option. We talked about many different scenarios, and he told me he would do what ever I wanted. He made sure I knew what I wanted. Ultimately I told him to do what he would recommended to start, and we would start making changes if I needed more. He installed an edge chip, and did an intake. I noticed just on my drive from home to work with my cruise control set. I am getting 5.3 miles per gallon better. The girls at the front desk were very nice. They are great at screening calls. They ask you what your call is about, and make sure that the person is really helping you. I have seen complaints about their attitude, but how I have been treated by them, I would employ them. My truck was put in reduced power mode due a clogged Exhaust sensor. Which means your speed is reduced to the point you can only move 10 miles per hour pretty quickly. I called 15 places and took it to my dealer who the truck is under warranty. They all said it would take a week to look at. I was heading on a work trip the next day. Needless to say I was in a tough spot. I called Utah Diesel and they told me they were short handed and I told him my situation. He took mercy on me and got me right in fixed the issue in a couple hours. Even though he was up against the wall as far as everything they were trying to do for others. We really appreciate the help they gave us. We broke down going to South Dakota. They came out to us mobile and changed the steering pump and we were back on the road. Incredible group of employees! I called after reading the Yelp reviews while being broke down on the interstate with 4 horses in a living questers trailer in SLC on I-15. Corey the receptionist rushed to get a mechanic on the phone to help diagnose what was going on, then Cameron got there with in 20 minutes to hook up to my trailer and haul 4 horses and all to the Lehi rodeo grounds where we were able to safely wait while they rushed to get out truck repaired! Never have I had such incredible customer service. What a relief to find people who truly understand how to help in a time of need! Trevor stayed late to get our truck fixed and allowed us to get back on the road the next night. When there going to get things done and ended up being three times more and so far they've had it for almost 3 weeks they lie and tell you things you want to hear and that is the truth. We were on vacation and stopped off in Provo to see family on our way to Colorado. Sunday was our planned travel day. On the way out of town we lost our coolant. My wife searched for nearby diesel mechanics and lucked into Utah Diesel Center. Despite being closed on Sunday, they answered the phone and gave us some options. They were backed up for two weeks but, since they knew we were on vacation, squeezed us in. They got the hose we needed overnight and had us on the road by Tuesday. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and the cost wasn't outrageous. We couldn't be happier with the way we were taken care of. read more

I give this place 3 stars cause the work they do is great but the service in the office is awful, I went in to ask about something for my husband a little while ago and I walked in 3 girls sitting at the desk I didn't even get a hello, no one even acknowledged me and when I would ask something I would get kind of a scoff with an eye roll, funny because I was telling one of my friends about how I was treated and she said the exact same thing! Maybe they just hate other women i don't know but the -2 stars is because of the office if they were more friendly in there I would've given them more stars, when in comes to places like this that offer services the service needs to be great all the way around, not just in the shop and not just in the office but combined, too bad their office girls are so unfriendly read more

The first time I went back it died 2 seconds after turning on. When I said that I was disappointed Cameron raised his voice and swore. I had then replace a bad EGR on a f-350. They quoted me $1300 and when I picked it up they tried to charge me $2300. They did end up removing charges and met the quoted price. Since the repair I have had a bolt drop on my driveway ,I found the radiator shroud was cracked and the front bumper had black marks on it probably from the stand they used.
