Utah Olympic Park was such a cool place to visit, even just as a spectator. It was fascinating to watch people actively skiing and slaloming right in front of you, especially knowing you're standing where parts of the 2002 Olympics actually took place. The whole area is very easy to access, which made it simple to pop in and explore without much planning. I enjoyed just standing there taking it all in and watching everyone fly down the courses like it was no big deal. It's a really enjoyable stop that makes winter sports feel exciting even if you're staying safely on the sidelines. read more

The gps brought us to a magnificent residential community with endless views. The best directions are Rt #224 to the Olympic Parkway uphill to the Olympic Park.. We could bang around the inside of a bobsled at the Utah Olympic Park, just outside of town. Here, a track crew member instructs riders prior to their run. If you are 16 and older, you could climb behind an experienced driver in "The Comet" and run the entire Olympic bobsled track, including a 40-story drop, in just under a minute and up to 5 G's of force. There were teens skiing into the Freestyle Pool. It's easy to spend hours here. The interactive activities were amazing! There is a gift shop & cafe with an information center. read more

Came for the Bobsled experience and had a blast! Rode a bus to the top of the Bob sled track, got a quick briefing, put the helmet on and hopped in the sled. Off we went blasting down the track, top speed of 75mph! It was intense but really fun! Totally worth it! There was also some skiers practicing some jumps into the pool and that was neat to watch! They've got a neat area inside to tour of the history of the Olympics, gear, etc. Neat place for history and experiences! Definitely recommend! read more

I can only imagine our beautiful it is during the winter with snow on the ground. I didn't have a chance to go inside but what we saw and learned was really cool. Utah Olympic Park was built for the 2002 Olympics and will be returning there in 2034! We had planned a stop at the Utah Olympic Park during our visit to ParK City, but our timing was way off because we came in October when there isn't much going on. The website showed that there was supposed to be an event with dogs the day we were there but we didn't bump into the event. Maybe it was canceled due to the rain. I wish we had thought to book the one hour guided tour which is $20 for aduls, and $15 for children and seniors. We explored the two free museums in the Quinney Welcome Center which surprisingly ended up being super fun. It wasn't crowded on the rainy day we visited. There's a bobsled you can get in for pictures. You can also do different simulations (like a ride) and take free pictures with different backgrounds on a green screen that can be sent to you by text or email. There were a bunch of cool exhibits to check out upstairs and downstairs. My favorite exhibits were the retro skis, snowboard and ski outfits that were on display. The ski outfits were designed by Barbara Alley Simon and there was a video from the 1980s playing next to the display. That was fun to watch because the people modeling the ski outfits were dancing for some reason and their dance moves were hilarious. read more

Oh my goodness! WHAT A BLAST!!! You get a lot for what you pay for...if the lines are not too long. You get unlimited rides/access for 3.5 hours for one price (ranges from $67 to $95 depending on the day). This includes the Alpine Slide, Extreme Tubing, Extreme Zip, Freestyle Zip, Discovery Course, Canyon Course, Summit Course, Drop Tower, Airbag Jumps, Action Tower, and Scenic Chairlifts. PLEASE NOTE: this does not include the bobsled, as that rocking is separate. My favorites were the Extreme Zip and Extreme tubing. They do have smaller courses/rides for kiddos. We were there for the full 3.5 hours and got to do everything at least twice if not 3 times. The staff were super kind, non-judgmental (about fear), and courteous. Definitely recommend coming here and allowing your adventurous side to come out to play!!! read more

Back in 2002, I was here for the Olympics, but I don't think I fully grasped the magnitude of hosting the entire world in our back yard. We will get another chance in a few years, but until then, the Utah Olympic Park is a good place to get a taste for the Games. There's a free museum inside which has lots of neat items on display. It took me back to the days of pin trading and beret-wearing...IYKYK. You can also admire some of the costumes and puppets from the opening ceremonies as well as some video clips from different events. They do a nice job of showing some of the highlights from 2002. Outside, you can participate hands-on in some activities such as the bobsled, etc. I took my turn at the ropes course and found it to be just the right degree of difficulty and challenge without being overwhelming. Note that I did the intermediate course. My adventure buddy did the expert course and said it was certainly challenging, but doable. There's a good amount of walking that you'll do if you wander the entire facility. Plan on drinking lots of water and wear your sunscreen. read more

What a cool place to visit! Unfortunately I was just a kid when the Olympics were held in Park City, Utah so I don't remember much about them. However I was in town recently and found out the Olympic Park offered tours so I knew I wanted to check it out. Using Waze we had a bit of difficulty finding their location but Google Maps helped us out. They had a big lot full of free parking available which was great. The tour tickets are pretty reasonable in price, I just wish there was a bit more to see. The tracks were all fascinating as well as the ability to see some of olympic equipment. There wasn't anyone on the tracks though performing any of the sports, which is what I was hoping for. However the views were incredible once we got to the top and the tour guide was very passionate about his job which made the experience great. He was very knowledgeable about any questions that were asked too. read more

What a cool place! Loved being able to walk around this free museum to see memorabilia from the Salt Lake City Olympics. So many fun and informative displays! I'm always in awe of Olympians! They have activities that you can pay for like bobsledding (all times of the year) but we didn't do any of the extras during our visit. Time of year was late June. perfect weather small crowd = short lines informative displays about winter sports fun Olympic activities My family got the gold pass. A good deal. We did the zip line, alpine slide and gondola. We wanted to do the extreme tubing, but the helmet wouldn't fit over our big hair . Seriously, helmets should come in multiple sizes for adults and kids. Be advised that if you don't do an activity at a high elevation (like tubing), you will have to hike down. The terrain was steep and rocky at times. Our shoes were not appropriate for the hike down. Somehow we made it without incident. You can ride as much as you want for 2.5 hours. Honestly, after the hike we were done. Do yourself a favor and leave bags at home or in the car. They do have lockers for free. Didn't check out the cafe or gift shop. The ice cream bars were good though! Two adults and a teenager thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thrilling for all. This is my second sliding experience and I highly recommend everyone give it a try. In someways for the layman, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity unless you live by a sliding center. The Utah Olympic Park offers bobsledding in the summer and winter. In the summer, the sled is on wheels. In winter, you're riding a true bobsled with blades on ice. I will preface, you pay a larger fee for an experience that's less than a minute; my ride was less than 49 seconds and my husband went faster at less than 48 seconds. There are 4 people per bobsled, but that's three passengers and one trainer pilot. Taking the bobsled slide is a winning experience in Park City at UOP! read more

I'm not sure what I expected, but my experience exceeded my expectations. There's a little something for everyone. For me, this place is an adult adventure park and chance to try a handful of Olympic sports. For the kiddos, it's likely the same, a sporty adventure paradise and introduction to skiing, bobsledding and high diving. For the hiker, there are plenty of trails to explore. For the history buff, the free museum with free tours are perfect. For the tourist, the gift shop offers plenty of goodies. For non sporty types, the shows are perfect, and the sunset on the property is unmatched. For the thrillseeker, bobsledding, alpine slides, obstacle courses, high diving and ski jumping into a pool! This leads me to my tips incase you plan to visit: *arrive early to get a good spot for the flying aces show...really early! The seats go quickly. *visit on a clear sunny day to get the most out of your experience *arrive early so you can make the most of your time there, and raise you chances that the tickets for your desired attractions are available *call ahead if there's something you're extremely interested in, a few experiences were closed/sold out by the time we arrived, *do the bobsled experience (if it's the season)- yes, it's expensive, but where else are you going to bobsled an Olympic bobsled course! read more

What a really cool place. To be honest, i wished I had done more research prior to visiting the park. The Olympic Park sits on top of a beautiful park. It's actually free to get into if you just want to visit so it's something to absolutely to do if you're on a budget and/or trying to save a few bucks while you're in park city. I thought the museum was nice. It gave a nice overview of the Winter Olympics with a few cool interactive pieces to it, and a few photo ops too. The park has a bunch of activities for kids and big kids to spend the day acting like their own version of olympians. I spent hours watching people doing the ski mogul jumps into the pool. You could also watch people zip line as well. There are plenty (many) other activities as well too. Everything was so fun. Next time I'm in Park City, i would absolutely come back to this park, I'd even consider take part in one of the activities even though I'm a bit clumsy- they do make you sign waives. read more

We made it a point to visit the park during our day in Park City. Unfortunately, the weather made it a bit less exciting that we had hoped. We had planned to do the chair lift and zip lining, but all activities were closed due to the extreme wind and rain. Thankfully, we were able to explore the two-story museum they have on display at no charge. That took about an hour and was very interesting! The grounds are beautiful, and it was neat to see all the Olympic treasures left behind from 21 years ago. If you're in town, it's definitely worth the visit! read more

My wife Donna and I recently went to Park City and spent some time at Utah Olympic Park. The first day we were on the Alpine slide, zip line and tubing down the landing portion of the ski jumps. We had a great time. Definitely recommend to everyone who is visiting Park City. We were thankful to Edward who was working the loading of the chair lift as were on it quite a bit and Vicky and Kyler on the alpine slide for the insight and giving us a little extra time between people so the track did not too bunched up. The second day we did the bobsled and it was incredible! We enjoyed it so much were did it a second time. We had the best run time of the day for quite a while topping 75 mph because it is on wheels since it was September. I can only imagine doing the bobsled on ice. The second time we went there was only 3 of us but it still gets moving down the hill incredibly quick. The first 3 turns were pretty quick, but the intensity shot up after that with each turn and twist. We. have a new appreciation for your Olympic bobsled team and team Jamaica as well as it is an incredible experience. Everyone there was knowledgeable as I ask quite a few questions on occasion to learn more about the sport. If your in Park City and don't do any of the Olympic Park, you missed a great opportunity to do something that most people will never have the opportunity to do or know about. We asked quite a few people around town and it seemed like most people did not know about it. If we ever go back to Patk City, we will be in line for Olympic Park and the bobsled. This place was much cooler than I anticipated when I first decided to visit. Appropriate for families and locals as well as tourists. The museums are free (consider donating!) and cover both the history of skiing in Utah as well as the Olympics in Utah. There is a souvenir shop, info guides, and even a café (closed when I went). Out back are the bobsled run and ski training areas. If you weren't able to attend the Olympics in 2002 in person, this is the next best thing! The skiing section of the museum showed past and present ski fashions, equipment changes over time, a cool Google Earth-driven Utah ski resort exploration guide, a Utah ski hall of fame. and much more. Upstairs, the Olympic hall gave a phenomenal recap of 2002 and what it meant to Utah. See actual medals and the cast from which they were made, the entire Olympic pin collection, gear used by the athletes, incredible photography of the events and tons more -- you can even get your picture taken holding an Olympic torch. read more

Several parking spots along the way to the ski museum for some photo opps for the ski runs from the Olympics. Some walking or hiking to get closer to the runs, although much of the paths closer are fenced off. Don't park by the Olympic hotel, no good views of the ski runs from there at all. Came here for their bobsled experience. A bit pricey for a quick ride ($200), but after doing it I'd say definitely worth it. Feels a bit like a roller coaster with very intense g-forces. Think it gets close to 70 mph on a 25% shorter run they do for the pros. Really fun to have the experience and get a rough sense of what being a real bobsleder might be like. read more

Very cool place to visit any time of year while in Park City. Although during winter (when there's snow) I think they practice some of the non-water jumps. In the summer you can see the athletes practicing their tricks into the pool and even check out bobsledding practice, (or try it yourself, for a price!). Spent a couple of hours here, outside and inside. Obviously scoping out the jumps and inside at the ski museum (first floor) and Olympic museum (2nd floor). In the ski museum you can try out your skills at virtual ski jumping, which was not at all easy although fun! The place wasn't very busy, which was nice because it's kind of small. They require masks in the museums because of the close quarters. By far, the Olympics museum was the coolest. It showcases the Winter Olympics when they had them in Salt Lake City years ago and was very well done. Check this place out if you are here in the summer or just want a small break from the slopes while you're here in winter. read more

You don't really have to spend money to enjoy this place. They have some great things you can pay for but you can also tour for free on your own. You can get right up to the bobsled while others are riding it. You can watch the training skiers and walk through the museum all for free. Going down the bobsled is only $100 and we may end up doing that next time. Great visit! read more

We got off to a rough start. Bought my daughter a wristband for $90 so she could experience all the attractions. When we got to the first thing, the attendants said they were closed for wristbands for the next 30 minutes! Only single tickets allowed. So we traded in the wristband for 3 single tickets and owed another $6. A ridiculously arbitrary rule. read more

The experience was fun but the front desk person, TJ, was rude. When we originally came, someone else at the front desk had told us that we would get a voucher if we didn't get to finish all the activities. Going up after we didn't finish everything so we went up to the front desk and it was Tj and he was so rude about it saying that they didn't do vouchers and that it wasn't their problem that we were told incorrect information. But, had I been told that from the beginning I would have bought cheaper tickets knowing that we only had limited time there. He ended up giving us a partial refund thought which at least that was good. Overall, fun but TJ honestly tainted the experience by just being overall condescending. read more

In 2002, Utah hosted the world for the Olympic Winter Games and the Paralympic Winter Games. This park is a remnant of those games. There is a museum on site (closes at 6 or 7pm daily). While we were at the park, we saw that Flying All-Stars Show. The show was very good and featured former and future hopeful Olympians performing acrobatic acts while soaring, twisting, and and flipping into the park's Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. If you are in the area it's a great show to catch. Even in the summer, you probably should wear a jacket though, as it got pretty cool towards the end of the 30 minute show. read more

I just love this place. I think we've done every experience here and have enjoyed each one. This time we did the bobsled experience and let me tell you...it was worth every penny. Price is pretty steep ($170 for two people for only one minute of fun) but it was so freaking cool. Only two bobsled tracks in the entire US and park city has one of them. It was awesome. The instructors/workers were so informative and made you feel extremely safe, also while explaining all the risks involved. read more

If you're in Park City, UT during summer/early fall then check out the Olympic Park with your family. It was nice to see Utah reusing the space instead of letting it be rundown. The bobsled run was already sold out on a Friday afternoon, but we paid $50 each to ride the extreme alpine sled, 2-extreme tubing runs, and extreme zip lining. This is unlimited rides in a 3-hour period. You took the chairlift up to the rides. There is some hiking involved to certain tubing locations. You have to wear closed toe shoes & you cannot bring purses/backpacks so you have to hang it by chairlift area. The walk to/from parking to chairlift area is steep and can get tiring. read more

If in Park City, this is a once in a lifetime activity center that is worth a visit. We did the bobsledding experience one day ... which is a one and done in the hour you book for. It's about a 60 second ride, going up to 70mph. The driver is a pro as the advice is to watch the driver's head ... if it moves a little to the right, move yours a little to right, etc. Our guy stayed straight the entire time. It was intense. Good to have a strong core as you're trying to keep yourself in the proper posture throughout the ride. Felt a little dizzy and motion sick after exiting the bobsled, but that's because it's a really intense, fun ride. The next day we did the golden pass - 3.5 hours to take advantage of the majority of activities they have there, minus the bobsled and zipline tour. The extreme zip has you go 55mph dropping 40 stories over 1442 feet. Fun, not scary. The alpine slide is enjoyable and you control the speed. you need to lean in forward with your body to go fast which wasn't fully shared at the 'orientation.' I didn't figure it out until curve #7 so it was a pretty conservative ride. If you figure it out early, it's a blast. The extreme tubing was the best. You have to take the k64 first and then go go down the k90. You are whizzing down that hill! The k64 is more bumpy so you feel it more. The k90 is crazy fast and such a thrill for speedsters. it felt intense as you see yourself flying down the ramp. It's a much smoother ride as you are going speeds of up to 50MPH. Definitely as must experience The kids did the airbag jump at 5, 10 and 15 feet. Again, you need to do the 5 before the 10 and the 10 before the 15 feet jump. It's seriously intimating. the drop tower is also fun... you need to take a zip line to get to the platform and then the only way down is to do one of the 2 free form fall. I'd recommend going during the morning slots as there's no shade in the high desert and it gets hot. Wear sneakers/closed toe shoes, pack sunscreen and drink plenty of water! This is a must visit if you like adventure. read more

My family recently visited the park....what an amazing experience and an adventure-packed day! We started our day with an 11am tour with Danny. She did an amazing tour and it was awe-inspiring to hear about the various Olympic events and actually stand and be where only athletes would get to go. The tour was an hour long. We the had a couple hours to spare while we waited to begin our Gold Pass adventures. We took the time to go through the free museum where we learned a lot and saw a lot of memorabilia throughout the years. We did the VR experiences which was awesome as well! We had some lunch from the 2nd floor café' while we watched athletes practicing their free style skiing into the huge pool. We could've sat and watched this action all day as it's truly unique. We were early enough to see a USA team athlete practicing his jumps...so fun! At 2pm our Gold Pass began and we spent the next 3.5 hours experiencing all the things. We were risk takers and tried all the extreme activities and the not so extreme. You definitely need to be somewhat in shape to do a lot of walking, hiking, and being able to participate in the activities...they're not for the faint of heart, but there is something for everyone, even if you are just hanging out to watch others or wait on your family to do things you may not be able to do. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and we're hoping the winter Olympics will return there in 2030 or 2034. So so awesome with unforgettable memories made.
