I found a dog on the side of the road and rescued him to foster him. I went in to get him checked out so that I could know about any health problems before he was adopted to his forever home, and to get him some immunizations just in case he was behind. During this appt they signed me up for a Paw Plan, stating that would be the cheapest option and not mentioning that it would be several hundred dollars when I canceled the plan at his adoption. So here we are, I have spoken to their billing department (Quentin who was rude and aggressive from the beginning) and their manager (Brittney who spoke to me with a complete lack of empathy and told me it wasn't her job to explain to me why we couldn't come to a compromise over +-$100), neither of whom has been able to explain to me why I should be paying hundreds of dollars for an adopted dog to get two immunizations when I could have gone any number of other places for immunizations that would have costed me less than the Paw Plan payments. They were rude and completely uninterested in a compromised cost, and they have absolutely lost my business forever. Don't expect for any longevity of a perfect client who has paid tens of thousands of dollars over the years, to get you any special consideration. Just a small amount of compromise would have left me feeling better about the interaction and about Holladay Vet in general. I would STRONGLY suggest that Holladay Vet invest in some customer service with their billing. The vet techs and people working at the desk clearly have some; it would be a good idea to clean up the back half so that people like myself don't feel so betrayed and taken advantage of. I would suggest going to ANY other vet clinic in town.

So the likelihood of him having a contagious illness is super slim. And I could even understand isolating us in a room. Instead of asking those questions I get ignored for two+ hours on a day where they don't have hardly any patients. Front staff is nice enough, but whoever the lady was that took us back? Rude, needs a better bedside manner, she also took puppers back for treatment and he didn't like her vibes either. The vet, however, was lovely. I brought my cat in twice for a urinary obstruction and both times we received amazing care. He had…read morenever had any health problems before and all their staff and the vets who worked with him were so compassionate and made an effort to explain everything to me including possible causes, everything they needed to do to help him, aftercare instructions, options for managing the condition, and his prognosis. He had to stay overnight both times and the staff was very communicative with me, gave me regular updates, and answered all my questions. When he ended up needing surgery they readily recommended an outside clinic to help keep costs down. He is anxious and doesn't do well at the vet and everyone was very understanding when interacting with him. They saved his life twice and gave me great education on strategies for managing his anxiety. I wish it was an experience we did not have to have, but I have only good things to say about the clinic and am so grateful for the care and help they gave during that time. It was expensive but that is the nature of vet care. I recommend pet insurance to everyone!
