Rented skis & poles for 4 days from the downtown SLC location in December 2019. After booking a package online--the site was easy to use--I showed up at 7am and the place was open and staffed by efficient, courteous people who got me my gear and adjusted it quickly and with no fuss. I bought a pair of goggles too and the selection was ample. And the skis were great. Two weeks later, I needed a printout of the receipt, since I'd lost it, and the owner found it for me and texted me a copy promptly. Bravo for extra service. If I need to buy or rent ski gear in SLC again, they will be my #1 choice. read more

The guys were both very knowledgeable and the service was fast and efficient! This store even had a pair of Movements..incredibly rare in the states!! Do not do business with these people. The manager is rude and is not customer friendly. Had to go back twice to have them tune my skiis and in the end they botched it twice. They do not know what they are doing and when I got them done correctly elsewhere, they refused to return the $80 dollars I paid for the 4 skis. Oh they did offer to redo them AGAIN... Ya no thanks Go else where as there are plenty of qualified ski shops. read more

Highly not recommended. Gave me a busted boot, went to the location on Main Street to return and get a bigger board. They left the bindings do loose that my toe strap literally fell off after every run. Took it into the rental shop at park city resort and they tightened them up for me. Told me the "demo" board I got was 20 years old and not good fir the conditions at all. He told me to ask fir a refund. I'm so passed that I spent most of my trip dealing with the garbage equipment that they rented me instead of enjoying the snow. Wish I could give zero stars. read more

Sketchy, sketchy, sketchy. All of their "Demo" gear is more than a year old and badly beat up. I traded in my Demo skis one day for a different pair and was given a non-demo ski, and still charged the same despite my protests. If you don't get the damage waiver, they will do their best to charge for any damage that was likely already done to their beat up equipment. Good luck finding ski boots that fit, I had to rent from other places since all of their boots didn't fit or caused pain. And they refused to issue a credit/refund even though their boots wouldn't work for me. Despite all the bad, the employees are very nice. But you will be serviced by 2-4 people at once, since they get easily distracted and stuck in the backroom. You never have just one person waiting on you the entire time and have to constantly repeat yourself. read more

These people work at the speed of melting snow. Rates aren't really cheaper than if you get from the resort itself ($30/day ski or board package vs 30$board 22$ski at Park City per websites), but came because my airline lost my luggage and offered me free rentals here. They had 3 or 4 workers, and it took over an hour to get seven of us our gear and get outta there, time we could have spent on the mountain. To make things worse, turned out that two of my friends' board bindings were loose. Luckily the people on the mountain were nice enough to help fix. The one (the only) good thing is that they are just a few steps away from the Town Lift for Park City, which takes you straight up the mountain. If you ask them they'll tell you where to find good parking nearby. They will also let you leave your shoes there so you can come back to pick them up after skiing. Nice people I suppose, but expect to wait a while for your gear, which may not be the most reliable. They have an online reservation option; recommend that if you'll be renting here. read more

I just wanted to say just finished a ski Christmas vacation in Park City; my family's first visit to Park City. We skied 3 days and rented equipment from Utah Ski and Golf. We had a very pleasant experience from the time we walked in. Greeted in a friendly way and given good advice and help fitting boots, etc. Thank you to the Aussie contingent that worked with us. This place is great! Me and five friends went here after a terrible experience at Aloha Ski on Canyons Resort Drive and this crew hooked us up! The employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and they listened to how we like to ski and helped us make decisions from there. The size of the Demo selection there was not great, but they did have a good range of stuff that you could try out. We each got to basically hand pick our Demo skis and go with ones that were in good condition and that we felt comfortable with. If I ever go back to ski Park City (which I probably won't, but that's a different review) I would for sure start here for selecting my rental stuff. read more

Park City is a tourist mecca and throughout the town, customer service tends to reflect that. Nearly everywhere we went, we were treated extremely well. Except for Utah Ski and Golf (the Shadow Ridge store) where the quality of service is shoddy and, frankly, mean. Two people in my party had problems with their bindings on the mountain. Notably, my four year old had her ski fall off while she was on the lift. A veteran skier had to MacGyver his binding back in place after it slipped out in the middle of a blue run - something none of us had experienced. Equally disturbing was the treatment we received from the morning crew at the Shadow Ridge store. When we were renting for the aforementioned four year old, we were asked her weight. Since we weren't certain, we asked if they had a scale. The comment came back gruffly "this isn't a medical office, you'll need to come back" Well if that's the case, kind sir, then why does your store by the Town lift (where others in our group rented) HAVE A SCALE?! The next morning, when two of us were having issues with our boots, the same charmer basically berated us (though admittedly, got us squared away). And the store was empty at the time, so it wasn't as though we were keeping him from anything else. It's a refreshing change from the usual "customer is always right," mentality that pervades the area. It's more convenient to rent from one of the numerous options in the mountain base anyway. Aloha was very friendly and accommodating when we replaced my daughter's equipment (after the ski fell off my daughter, I certainly wasn't trusting them a second time). But unless you feel nostalgic for emotionally abusive authority figures or look forward to getting a ride from the ski patrol because your bindings failed in the middle of the mountain, stay away from Utah Ski and Golf. read more

Great service! I read reviews that they were slow and took forever but they helped our group of 8 and we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. The demo package we got was brand new equipment and we really enjoyed it. They even let us switch our equipment daily without any charge. I wouldn't trust all these reviews but go find out for yourselves, this place was great! read more

I just recently skied Park City for the first time. Since this shop was close to our rental property we decided to give it a try when it came to renting our equipment.I have rented many a set of ski's and been to many rental shops. I have to say these guys were first class from the minute we walked through the door to the last day we dropped off our equipment. Justin was very knowledgeable not only with our rental but great places to eat and ski. Our overall experience will keep us coming back to these guys. We showed up yesterday to rent a board for our nephew who had never boarded before. We showed at the Park City location and the guy (sorry- cant remember this name- possibly the owner?) was beyond helpful. He had the gear all dialed in, suggested going to Brighton versus Snowbird, which was the best suggestion. We had the best day, thankful for the guidance and direction. No need to go to the Resort's fancy shops; Utah Ski and Golf as it all and the prices cant be beat. We're coming back tomorrow! read more

Our kids are part of the locals ski rental program through this store. Just about every time I go in to switch equipment out the manager is totally RUDE. I am getting really sick of it. The NZ kids that work there are so sweet and helpful. Not sure how they can even stand that guy. Wishing we had used Sports Authority instead. read more
