I have never been to this shop, but stopped in because my sister wanted to stop in. It was so cute and had a variety of snow sport gifts and apparel. They had a cute promo for Christmas; finding the hidden elf for a discount. My niece tried to find it... not sure if she did or not. They had super cute, felt ornaments on their tree too. I saw this cute patch at the registers, which I asked about, they didn't sell it there (as most places don't sell patches anymore- and I like to collect them of places I visit). When considering a rental shop, they are all basically the same. What makes one better than the rest is the level of customer service and Bahnhof Sports provided absolutely amazing customer service. My 16 year old son was interested in buying a new snowboard while we were in Park City but he wanted to demo a few boards beforehand. We were thrilled when we found Bahnhof Sport. Most of the stores we called were not very helpful. But when we called and spoke to Chris at Bahnhof Sport, he was incredibly helpful. He informed us that they had a wide assortment of boards he could demo and two days worth of rentals could be applied toward a purchase. He even set aside the board my son wanted so we knew it would be there for our first day of rental. When we arrived last Saturday, Chris had the equipment ready for my son. Chris took the time to make sure my son had the right boots and the board was configured the way my son liked. We tried two different boards over the next two days ultimately deciding on the Capita Defender of Awesomeness. We returned to the store at 6PM to purchase the equipment for use the next day. Unfortunately the boot fitter had already left for the night but John, the store manager agreed to help us. He was about to leave but he stayed with us for 30 minutes making sure we had everything we needed and were set up for the following day. If you are looking to rent or purchase, I would highly recommend you check out Bahnhof Sport. There service is fantastic and their pricing is more than fair. read more

came in at end of season sale. 40-60% off everything. normally when you see this there isn't much selection left but there was a lot still left including patagonia oakley burton etc. funny bc patagonia stores down the street selling the same exact thing at normal price. 5 stars also to brian. i asked one question about ski boots and he goes off for 10 minutes giving me custom fitting and a few brands he thinks fits my foot. also at half off. ended up not getting the boots bc couldn't get right fit but got a bunch of other stuff. highly recommend. read more

As we pedaled up the street with our newly-rented bikes, my son turned to me and said, "That John is THE coolest guy." My son and I are beginner-to-intermediate (big head tilt and a little shrug on "intermediate") level riders, so we were stoked to rent some bikes and hit the lifts of the legendary Deer Valley. We walked down the road to Bahnof to get bikes and walked out with two great bikes for a great price and a TON of free advice. John advised us about Deer Valley's rating system and the difficulty of their slopes. He gave us a roadmap on how to get our feet wet for free using the Park City transit buses and how (and where) to progress for maximum safety and maximum enjoyment. In the end, my son and I opted to ride the Mid-Mountain Trail from Deer Valley to Park City. While, at times, I found myself wishing I had opted for a chairlift to take me up hills instead of pedaling them myself, the ride was fun, incredibly beautiful and offered some satisfying downhill flows. Next time I'm in Park City to ride (or ski), Bahnof will be my first stop. read more

Brian was extremely helpful and informative, we asked a lot of questions and he had all the answers, very knowledgeable about the products. Popped in on a saturday night while wandering downtown. I had lost a mitten during the day, so needed to replace it with a new pair. It was end of season so things were a little crazy and from what we determined, perhaps they were bought by a different company. Staff was a bit brusque and things were a bit hay wire. I did get a nice pair of mittens at a 40% discount. At end of season - not an amazing place to be... would be interesting to see what it looks like next year! read more

Rented 4 bikes for 2 hr ride w the family. Easy summer time thing to do. Honestly, worst customer service I've experienced in years. Disinterested and unhelpful staff. No help is sizing and testing the bikes Bikes down the trial showed brake, derailer and, tire pressure issues. I've rented bikes from a lot of places around the country, mountain towns, small towns and big cities. Underwhelmed, no plans to use bahnhof again and would not recommend them, so try somewhere else first is my 2-cents for anyone who takes the time to read this review. Hopefully bahnhof will focus on the rental fleet and customer service a bit more to turn things around. read more

Popped in and was browsing ski boots after a few days of misery in rental boots. I told the salesman that I wasn't looking to buy as I was flying home that day, but wanted to learn about buying boots. The sales guy was super friendly teaching me all about what to look for in a boot and even put a pair on me. Not pushy at all, and didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time. Everyone working here was very friendly and I was impressed by the unique selection of ski gear. Highly recommend this shop! read more

If you're thinking, whether you should buy snow gear before you head to Utah for Sundance, or if you should wait until you get there....Definately get it in Utah! Main Street is home to the most adorable fur and snow board shops. Stylish, chic, and the prices tend to be slightly less than what you'll find in NYC. Obermeyer is rocking women's ski and snow board cloths this year. I bought black slim fit Obermeyer ski pants, and champagne colored insulated boarding jacket. Kept me warm and glamorous on the slopes. If you're looking for a warm winter coat for the east coast winters, or to hit the slopes, Bahnhof is by far my favorite winter sport store. Spacious well organized store, great selection, and excellent "Utah local friendly service". Who can ask for more? Go Utah! read more

Wow. Color me impressed! We came in reluctantly to purchase boots for our teen who outgrew her boots. We didn't want to pay Park City prices but without a car we had to choose from the Park City operations. We showed up at Bahnhof and John fitted her for new boots. As it turns out, her current boots fit - she was just buckling them incorrectly. John spent the time showing her the proper way to buckle and store her boots and we walked out very, very happy! And John wasn't the only helpful one. Everyone in the store was very helpful with tips on where to go and where to eat. Highly recommend! read more

It's the spring time in park city and I am a beginner skier. I am staying with friends who are expert skiers. So I was very nervous about having to rent equipment on my own. The shop was not tooo busy which was great for me!! The retail girl and the rental guy were soo very nice and welcoming. I figured since it was the end the of the season that newby skier niceness had well worn off. So NOT the case!! That put me at ease and he spent a lot of time finding the right boot to fit my foot and my calf. He went over how to strap in and little pointers too. I really enjoyed their spirit! Great experience renting a full suspension mountain bike here. John was uber-helpful and knowledgeable about local trails and the rental rigs. Notably, my riding partner had a rotten endo near the end of the trail and John picked us up and took us to the ER and made sure we were Ok. Pretty banged up but will survive. Rented 3 mtn bikes. My son's would not shift right kept slipping gears, chain came off twice. My husband rode the 2 miles back to exchange. Brought back different size, too big. My water bottle holder did not stay in place kept dropping bottle, my back tire was too low (felt every bump hard). Response when we got back, "there was nothing wrong with the bike". My son has a Trek and my husband races mtn bikes. read more

This is a great rental store. My main complaint about renting equipment is usually that the people fitting you have a "too cool" attitude that always makes me feel like a poser. These people were really nice, helped us out quickly (but made sure that everything fit correctly), and I never got that superior ski bum attitude. They also were obviously trying to help us get any discounts we were eligible for. The only downside is that their prices are a bit steep, but it is on a main street in Park City, which is notoriously expensive. read more

Just picked up skis for my fiance here and she loves them. Jeff helped us out looking for the right ski (length, width, stiffness, price, etc.) and binding, without being too pushy toward one product or another. Having done some homework at the shop, we left the store and looked at a few other shops and online to compare prices and other options and ended up coming back to purchase the set up since they had a great value here. When we came back to pick up the skis they mounted the bindings promptly then pointed us in the direction of an awesome mountain bike ride up on the mountains at park city resort (it being fall and no snow yet). RENTAL EQUIPMENT: Great prices (around $25/day for performance level), helpful staff. You can pickup your rentals after 5pm, and you will only be charged for skiing the next day. For example, if it is Monday night, you can pickup your rental equipment anytime after 5pm. You won't be charged for Monday, because you can't really use the skis that night. Tuesday is the 1st day that you will be charged for. Some places force you to wake up early the day you are skiing, or fork up the extra cash up-front to avoid the morning rush. We arrived at 4pm, and planned to return later that evening to avoid the extra day charge. It was pretty quiet, so they let us take our skis early. Small acts of kindness go a long way. Would definitely recommend in the future. PARKING: Hint. Park at the "Chinese Bridge" for up to 6 hours for free. Otherwise it's around $3/hour with a $15 daily maximum to park in the underground garages. Street parking also available at paid meters. read more

All the people at Bahnhof Sport were great! They got us fitted into our ski rentals, and after one run down the mountain I had to return to get different boots. I'm of the group of people with giant calves and ski boots can cause excruciating pain if not properly fitted. I returned to Bahnhof for a refit and they gave me new boots, reconfigured the latch settings on the new boots, and made sure I was comfortable. And, when we returned our rentals early, they gave me a refund on the rentals! All in all a great place to get rentals and we will use them again if we return. read more

Great bikes, guys inside are pretty sweet,shop had an open and friendly atmosphere. One guy from our group got a flat and we checked out the tool kit they sent us with, two extra tubes and patch kits, awesome. Also they gave a 20% discount because we were staying at the Marriott, much cheaper than Jan's down the road and friendlier bunch of guys. I had my brake pads wear out on me at the top of one of the trails and I gave the shop a call and let them know what was going on, Jeff asked where I was, I made it down to the lift and he was waiting with a new wheel and pads for my rental. What a fantastic Bike Shop! I am visiting Park city from out of town and needed a rear brake bleed for my mountain bike. They had it done the same day and even cleaned my bike from top to bottom. I highly recommend them and their service. While we were there, I bought a $100 pair of goggles for my child and the associate in that department (a woman), was also super kind.
