Although this location has been stuck in the longest construction era, once you make it up to the hill you're in the parking lot of the theater. This drafthouse is super nice compared to other locations i've been to in other cities as they have a full blown bar with ample restaurant-style seating. You can grab a drink, enjoy their draft beer lineup, or have a bite before you eventually head into the theater to watch your movie. It's easy to get some perks signed up for their membership club and you can purchase your tickets ahead of time or at the ticket counter. Some of my fave food items are their pretzels with beer queso and their pizzas. It's always fun to see what fun and unique menu item names they come up with! All in all, a great movie theater experience.

Nice size movie theater…read more It had been a minute since we had seen a movie in the theaters. We were able to get tickets online. They have a huge parking lot for busy opening nights. When we entered, we got into this line of concessions that had candies, ice cream cups, chocolate... There was a bar that served adult drinks on the right. The arcade was also on the right. When we got to the front of the line we were able to get various sizes of popcorn. Cinemark sells popcorn in small to large tubs, but we also saw folks walking away with bags full of popcorn. The kids got some Fanta slushies, and then we were off to the theater showing Zootopia 2. The room had stadium seating the leather seats were large and comfy. The floors were not sticky and the room provided great visuals and audio. Not too loud, but enough speakers to sound amazing. The movie was great. The experience at Cinemark was great. We would definitely come again.

I had first heard about them through a menu tasting on the Eastside, but after visiting multiple locations, the Westside is where I've spent the most time--and where this experience really stood out. You can tell they've put a lot of effort into rebuilding after taking over the former Alamo locations. But what really surprised me was the food quality. This is not typical movie theater food. The pizza dough is made fresh daily, sauces are scratch-made, and the menu feels like an actual restaurant, not just concessions. Even their beers are award-winning, and it's clear they care about quality and consistency. I ended up hosting my son's birthday here for about 14 people, and honestly, it was one of the easiest group outings I've done. We ordered everything from our seats, the kids shared refillable popcorn, and everyone had great food the entire time while watching the movie. No lines, no waiting, no juggling trays, and no missing parts of the film. They also have a private room we used for cake, plus games like foosball, which made it really easy to manage a group. Pricing was another surprise. Tickets here were actually cheaper than comparable theaters, even though it may not look like it at first because fees are shown upfront. When I compared the full experience--tickets plus food--it ended up being a better overall value than going somewhere else and just buying snacks. They also honored old Alamo gift cards, which was a really nice touch. As for the 18% service charge, after seeing how hard the servers work, it makes sense. They are constantly moving up and down stairs in a dark theater delivering food so you don't have to leave your seat. That level of service is part of the experience. Overall, between the food quality, service, and convenience, this has easily become one of my go-to spots. Also want to recognize Melissa, the GM, and her team. The theatre did a great job of bringing back this "comfort" feeling! Each staff member did their best to assist with ticket purchasing, navigating to the theatre and overall just being pleasant. I know some people have given up on theaters but this one was clean, great ambiance, classic smell and truly had a great feel to it! The popcorn was fresh, snacks were great (as always)! From Broadway to the Symphony. you can find an opportunity to discover this theater firsthand. I really enjoy seeing the marquee lit up and welcoming you inside. There is a main bar in the lobby area and I really like the setup of the bathrooms on the basement floor with lounge seating. Acoustics and sounds is great and I really like how they're securing more and more opportunities for El Pasoans to enjoy. An absolute must if you ever have the chance.

The Plaza Theater itself is an old building. But it has really interesting architecture, exterior design and interior design that make it very nostalgic ! The ceiling is very celestial , with a heavenly aura :) ! It was my first time seeing a show there :D ! I watched "Mean Girls" the musical on Sat (4/6) for the matinee showing and absolutely it :D ! It really brought back wonderful memories of the original 2004 movie starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams :) ! The Broadway cast was absolutely spectacular :D ! I purchased an orchestra seat for myself since I went solo and got to meet and chat with a super nice family sitting next to me who have season tickets to the Plaza :) ! I didn't really try any of the speciality drinks or snacks. But a lot of people were in line for these! Movies on the Fly isn't the first car cinema to pop up during Covid, but the first one at the Coliseum had a crappy movie lineup and insane prices that kept us away. There's a lot to like about Movies on the Fly: solid movie lineup, nice location, reasonable price ($30/car) and my favorite part, you can bring your own food and drinks. We went to see Ghostbusters with the kids and it was a fun experience: getting in and out was easy, we got a good spot, and the projection & audio were great! The only drawback were idiots constantly turning on their headlights or beeping their vehicles, luckily the staff was on it. Pretty cool event, highly recommend if you miss going to the movies or have never experienced drive-ins.
