(one ropa vieja fed two people easily) I am posting the menu as of 6/16/24 for anyone who's looking to try it out, i recommend going in hungry a with some friends and trying a couple entrees and sharing them! Plenty of seating, nice set up inside, very friendly helpful service. I know they just opened so still trying to get the menu and processes down etc. The cook was not in so only had limited items available, we ordered a Cuban sandwich, beef steak and onion sandwich and fried Yuca. Everything was decent, the Cuban sandwich was missing the roast pork, only had ham and for some reason both sandwiches came out room temp, cheese was still cold which was a little disappointing. I think I'll try this place again when they are up and fully running and have the menu figured out. read more

Not good! They had a full buffet, but who knows how long it had been sitting there as the restaurant was completely dead. We had sandwiches instead, and they were not good. The pork was dry and the Cuban had one small piece if cheap deli ham and just a little pork. Drink prices were high and dinner entree prices were equally high. We will not be back and don't see this being open for long. read more

Ok, this is a Carnivore Dieters spot, buffet style and all the meat options(Beef, Chicken and pork). You can tell this small business is pouring their heart into their food and I liked that they bought back the buffet. Service is minimal, but they clear your finished plates. Ambiance as well is minimal, but clean and you're there to get your Carnivore on. read more

If you are Latino there is no better place to eat but here at Utra's and if you are not Latino and would like to experience great Latin/Caribbean food come here to eat. It will bring you back to what your mom or grandma use to cook for the family. The ambience is great but the food is even better. Great place, great people and great food. What a blessing to have a place like this in Lincoln. read more

The location is in a strip mall so the ambiance is pretty meh but it was mostly clean and not too many things broken or otherwise out of order. The photos of the menu items were not representative of the food at this location--for example, the menu shows sweet plantains when you really get tostones, the menu shows side salad when you really get coleslaw inside the sandwich, the menu shows rice and beans as separate sides when you really get congri rice with a few beans mixed in, and so forth. So I was somewhat disappointed not to get what I actually ordered and it sounds like the croquetas are often unavailable which was a huge bummer for me as that's a Cuban staple. That said, the tostones might have been my favorite here--they were fairly moist almost like steamed potatoes rather than how they are normally served which is typically too dry and tough for my liking. The patacon was sizable and as a highlight, it fed two when the ropa vieja plate wasn't as expected. I also liked that the tamales came out unwrapped and were much larger than expected based on how they were described to us (I think the description was to urge us to place two orders of tamales but only one was needed so glad we stuck to our guns there). Of course, I had to try the pizza cone and expected something that resembled way too much bread and skimped on toppings but was very pleasantly surprised at how well it was done, with cheese and sauce in food proportions to the very last crispy bite. Not sure if this place will stick around because Lincoln often isn't ready for different styles of cuisine but this one has enough fried and meat options and big proportions so I'm feeling hopeful. If so, we'd definitely visit again. read more

Only option was a Buffett. 2if the 4 meat choices was delicious. Pig on the spit was dry. Pretty expensive for the small amount of choices. Might try a lunch but who knows. There's no menu to be found. read more

This place was delicious. Cuban sandwich was quite large and very tasty. Had the pork plate and it was a ton of food, rice was really good. Kids got the pizza cones and had fun with them. Only thing I would wish would be for staff to be a bit more interactive or provide recommendations, very kind though. Definitely would be back to try more food. read more

Just ate there tonight. I had the pork cuban pizza, and my wife had the roast pork plate. Both meals were delicious. We also ordered the chicken croquettes and a mango smoothie. Again, everything was delicious. The owners were great, took time to talk to us, and went over some of the meals with us. Highly recommend. As latin food is concerned, please give it a try. The Cuban food they serve is about as authentic as one can find in the state of Nebraska. Their Cuban sandwich make's one think that he or she is in Key West. Every time I eat there I leave and begin to look for Ernest Hemingway's mansion. read more

Food was not good. Especially the pizza, extremely greasy I mean like twenty napkins couldn't even get it all off. The dough was not cooked. The $15 dollar sandwich was okay, but pretty bland. Both sandwich and pizza were uncut and they were very rude when we asked them to cut it. "Come on, really?? *sigh*" I don't leave reviews but I don't want you to be disappointed and waste money at this place. read more
