We were in Franklin for a wedding. Even with a college in town, we learned the hard way that Franklin is much more remote than we have expected when we arrived at the Franklin Dean station at 10pm on a Thursday night. There were no Uber drivers available, and we learned we need to call ahead to schedule a pick-up with a taxi service. Luckily, an employee at the Hampton Inn came and picked us up. Rob at Franklin Taxi recommended to is by the hotel and he was wonderful. There was a minimum charge of $15 from the Hampton Inn to the station and we happily paid it. He was prompt, friendly and drove us to the station and back to the hotel on the one day we had in Boston. I highly recommend giving him a call. Unfortunately, he wasn't available on a Monday morning, understandably so, already taking someone else to the airport first thing in the morning. And when he states that his prices are very competitive, we found this to be true when we called around to other companies for a pick-up on a Sunday night for a Monday morning pick-up and were quoted $45 to go 1.6 mi. It really is unfortunate that Franklin Taxi is the only reliable taxi service in the area because alas, nobody was available or priced reasonably enough to take us 1.6mi from the Hampton Inn to the train station on a Monday morning. The one Uber vehicle available all of a sudden disappeared the moment we requested a pick-up. So on Monday morning at 6:30AM, this California girl and her husband started our 1.6mi/30min walk from the Hampton Inn to the train station at 19° weather. Lesson learned. When in Franklin: 1) Don't depend on Uber. 2) Plan ahead and get a rental. 3) Don't have a rental, then call Frankin taxi and book ALL of your rides weeks in advance.

The service has grown to include several more drivers, of which I've had two newer ones, both of whom were polite, courteous and professional. The brand new van offered a very comfortable, smooth and quiet ride and we had plenty of time to spare at the airport. Before departures Bill even offered a courtesy check to make sure we had all the important items like passport, wallet, phone etc. Arriving home, our driver Tony communicated his ETA and called us to confirm the precise pickup point even down to the inch. Tony was so nice and we had good conversation with him and again the van was super comfortable and clean. Tony even helped carry suitcases directly to the door. I appreciated that both Bill and Tony communicated multiple times in text with confirmations, ETAs etc. Sent photos of the vans well in advance with license plates which was a really nice touch, so that we knew exactly what vehicle to look for. Bill and Tony easily accommodated an itinerary with multiple stops which made our lives SO much easier and saved us from unnecessary driving and coordination. Everything was done via text/phone which is way better than dealing with a clunky website or corporate office. Price was very reasonable and very well worth it for the level of professionalism you get. We will be booking with Bill's Transportation Services in the future for sure.

He then proceeded to circle the parking lot looking for me after I drove away because I did not take this human filth of a decrepit old man seriously. This happened around 8:30 PM, Tuesday, February 3rd at the Blackstone Valley Plaza in Millbury, he was an elderly white man driving a Cadillac Escalade. I believe this was the company name, if it is please reach out to me before I file a police report, if this is the incorrect business, I sincerely apologize and will take the review down. This man is mentally unstable and belongs in prison.

Unfortunately, the day of my ride my address (which is unique!) was not entered correctly into the GPS by the driver/owner (Tony). This led to him being about 30 minutes late for my pick up time and got things off on the wrong foot. Thankfully though, I gave myself a bunch of extra time to get to the airport so I wasn't late at all for my flight. All in all, it was an ok experience but I am not sure that I'd reach out to them again.

I have used this service five or six times over the last year. Each time, there has been a problem…read moreof some sort, certainly with punctuality, and sometimes with whether they showed up at all. This morning was the last straw. The service is run by a mixed-culture couple who have several children. As such, they have family obligations, and are juggling their work with their family's needs. This is fully understandable. The husband has limited English ability, and his behaviors are not always comfortable according to Western etiquette, which is also understandable. I understand that they are struggling to meet the needs of their family and of their taxi jobs. They are a one-couple taxi service, filling a gap in taxi service in the Southbridge area, and as such, are needed. I have always showed them appreciation. But these people lie constantly, and it is that that I can no longer tolerate. This morning, they didn't answer their two phone lines. Then the wife called, and said that she was at an appointment, and would be at my home in forty-five minutes. When she was over fifteen minutes late, I called her, and she told me, "Oh, you see, I'm at the hospital with my husband. Do you still need a ride?" I signed off. Then, fifteen minutes later, her husband called with an apology, and said something partially unintelligible that involved giving blood at the hospital and a problem with insurance. While I am willing to believe this, why didn't his wife tell me that her errand involved a hospital visit? Hospital visits are notorious for long waits. I would have understood, and would have called another taxi service. They were 100% insensitive to the gross inconvenience and distress that their irresponsible behavior had caused to me. This was on top of the constant excuses that both husband and wife gave me whenever the service was late or absent, which was every time I used it. It calls into very serious question their credibility, to say the least. I have tried my best with them, even giving them expensive home-sewn gifts with every fully paid ride, and I can do no more. We badly need another taxi company in this region. We are desperate for one, and that is why we tolerate this extreme incompetence and inconsideration on their part. But despite that, I will never, ever use this taxi service again.
