I used to work for this company. I had to quit because I could not hold my head up and be proud of my job and company. They hire just about anyone who comes in. The pay is so low that they're getting people who can't find better jobs because they're stupid. The owner Joann turned into a total bitch after about three weeks of working for her. OMG!!! Giving 2-stars rather than 1 as they were on-time for the early AM pick-up to take my spouse to their Dialysis appointment; however, failed to show or provide an update as to where they were for the return ride. I happened to stop off at the dialysis center to check-in on my spouse -- we ended up using some of the wait time at the end of his treatment to complete some new patient paperwork and realized pick-up hadn't yet arrived (already 15-minutes behind pick-up time), we called and they confirmed a new pick-up time... that time came and went; we then called back to get an update and was confirmed a driver would be there in 10-minnutes. After another 15-minutes of waiting we gave up and I ended up transporting my spouse back to the rehabilitation center myself (despite having to be in the office for a meeting, which I ended up missing). Out of fairness, I called V+B to speak with someone to understand the cause for delay, as I realize there are unforeseen events that can cause this to happen (i.e. traffic, delay from another pick-up, etc.).. waiting for their call back. But in the meantime, the rehabilitation center has scheduled transportation with another company. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend V+B. read more

No stars. Here's my experience. Patient is my father and he has a trache, gtube, is nonverbal, and is in a wheelchair. Scheduled pickup for 11:45. When they hadn't arrived we called and were told they had us scheduled for 11:45-12:00. Fifteen minutes to a doctors appt makes a big difference. They arrived just after 12:00. Driver was friendly and this van was in decent (not great, but decent) shape. Driver swerved over lines on freeway, but overall it was ok. Ride was bumpy and tough for my dad's neck and trache issues. We arrived on time for appt., but dad had slid way down in his chair and was pretty uncomfortable. We were told that if appt was completed in under an hour the driver would wait. We knew appt was under an hour but driver said she had to leave, call when we are done and another driver would be there to pick us up within 10-15 min of our call. Called when appt was over. Was told driver would arrive in30-45 min. They arrived an hour and half later. The can smelled bad and used bungee chords and wire hangers to work the doors and lift appropriately. The ride was very bumpy and the broken lift was so loud it was awful. Driver was on his cell phone (not hands free) for a portion of the time. Van was very dirty. I put this information out there in case any readers are considering this service for a patient- my dad requires a lot of care and this ride was very difficult for him. The wait at pick up caused him to be off his oxygen and humidifier too long, to be out of bed too long, and was just plain uncomfortable for the entire experience. I do NOT recommend using this company. I hired them to drive my husband to a hospital appointment from a healthcare center. For one round trip, we were in three of their wheelchair assessable vans. They were all very old, and one of them broke down on the freeway, leaving us stranded for over an hour before help came. I cannot explain how extremely hard this was on my husband. In fact, the rehab facility began contacting our family as they were worried about how long we were gone. The company offered us NO refund, but a future free round trip service. Safe bet that we won't be using it. read more

It's unfortunate to have to post, but my experience with V & B Transportation has been shockingly negative. As a health care professional I interact with a number of different transportation services with both positive and negative points. V & B Transportation has impressively maintained a very poor standard. I have had delicate patients wait for hours, no call no shows, unsafe drivers, rude dispatch managers, and non-maintained equipment. When asked for recommendations for non-medical transportation I will be steering my patients clear of V & B Transportation. read more

We were picked up over an hour late and were lucky that the hospital found another doctor to see my mom because we had missed our appt. Then we had to wait nearly an hour to get picked up. The driver, Marcos, was friendly but was on the phone the entire time so he only used one hand to work as my mom (in a wheelchair) was lifted into van, etc. He remained on his cell phone while driving and actually ran a red light on Fruitdale Ave. The experience from beginning to end was unpleasant. read more

Just wanted to give a huge shout out for the kind and compassionate service provided by Daphne, a driver who was dispatched to pick up my mother from the medical center last week. She was patient, courteous and compassionate. She is a model ambassador in customer service delivery for V+B Transportation. My experience with the other drivers have been the same too. WORST SERVICE EVER. I REPEAT. WORST SERVICE EVER. My uncle uses this transportation service so that he can get to his dialysis appointment and sometimes we're not around to make it to his dr. appts. It's been multiple times that the transportation is SUPER late. Today he had an appt. at 2:00PM and they did not pick him up until 2:30! Last week he got dropped off at his appointment and they did not pick him up until 7:00PM when he was out at 5:00PM. I talked to the driver today and asked him why it is that they're always late and his response was "call my boss". I called the number that is on the van, no answer. I kept calling and by the third call the "boss" picked up. I let him know the situation and his response was, "it's not my problem. I don't have control over my drivers." And he began to scream at me over the phone, cussing at me as well. This service is BS. If you're "the boss" this feedback should CONCERN YOU because it's YOUR BUSINESS. If you're thinking of using them for their service, I suggest you look else where. NEVER AGAIN. read more

My grandma used them when she was still with us. She would always compliment how kind and gentle her driver was I wish I remembered his name. BEWARE of these DRIVERS! I was making a legal u turn at my green light and a V&B driver was running a red light slowly and coming right at me..He didn't care and kept going and almost hit me. He continued to go. No sorry or anything, he was in a zone to get where he wanted. He must do this all the time because it was like no biggie to him and in la la la land. Old Asian guy. This has to be the worst transportation service I have ever worked with! I have a patient that was dropped off by V+B for his dialysis treatment. My patient was on dialysis for 3.5 hours and waited 3 hours AFTER his treatment for V+B to come pick him up. The worst part was when we called them they refused to pick up my patient and stated that he was "not on the list"!!! How can he not be on the list when u guys dropped him off for his treatment!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!! First they were very late to pick up my mom, which made her to miss her appointment. Then, someone from their office was supposed to contact me to see if we can re-schedule an appointment with the doctor....never happened. The driver name "Sancho" called me and asking if he should take my mom to an appointment that she already missed or not? While taking to me on the phone, he also talks to someone else and having a wonderful conversation. I hate writing bad reviews but this company should not be in the business in the first place.
