I stopped at this location during brunch hours, it's a pretty spacious venue, nice decor with multiples bars and tv's. They also had an r&b and rap oriented playlist going at the time. There wasn't too much traffic in terms of customers but I think that was mostly due to the time of day. I was able to get bar seating and service overall was solid, the bartender was attentive and made a couple of recommendations. Their brunch menu features entrees like breakfast sandwiches, steak & eggs, French toast, a variety of omelette options, and burritos with prices ranging from $17-$33 per item. I decided on the chicken & waffle which comes with a chicken thigh but I was allowed to substitute that for a breast instead. The food came out quickly and all in all a fairly good dish: the waffle was fluffy and the breading for the chicken breast was very well seasoned. Overall it seems like a fun spot to bring a group, grab a bite, and vibe to some music.

The restaurant was not very full so we kinda felt like the only people there. The servers were very nice but the service was a little slow. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were ok. I had the steak and eggs for my brunch meal which was really good! The steak was huge and cooked very well. I also really liked the breakfast potatoes. Overall the food was good but it sounds like they are still making some improvements since they're somewhat new. Definitely think it would be worth to revisit!

Food was good. Service was cool. Make sure you your whole party is present because they won't seat you otherwise.

    Their burger

I was in the mood for a burger and live near by. My usual spot in the neighborhood is Jojos but they were closed today and figured let me give this new place a try. When I arrived there was one other person there having wine and myself. I ordered a basil Hayden old fashioned ($22) and a burger. Again, there's two of us in there. The burger took about 25 minutes to get to me. The other person there got her fries like 3 minutes before I got my burger. I ordered my burger medium well. I get it and ask what all the red dripping was all over. The food runner who brought it said let me ask the bar tender who was on the phone. 5 minutes later the bartender comes up to me and asks "what's wrong with the food" and I said, what's all this red stuff. He said, "oh I think they made it meduim rare:" I explained that's not how I wanted it, so he takes it back to remake. The woman beside me gave me a look like "girl run" and shortly after she did too without finishing her fries and only her wine. I took my cue from her and asked for the check and headed over to bus boys. The bar area was also not clean with a bunch of glass stains, again - 2 people at the bar and one person who came in to pick up an order. May go back for a drink, but never the burger.

The food was amazing but the service was just as stupendous! The vibrant energy and the great people make coming back a must. The lamb chops were a steal and so delicious with a sauce that compliments them so well! The bartenders are the best and the house frozen drinks were to die for! The cohesiveness of the staff is exhilarating and you can tell they are family. Everything about this restaurant makes it a must try and make yourself a regular! Definitely a DC treasure and a must try! This establishment deserves a 1,000,000 out of 10 ! Run don't walk to this place!!!

The actual hookah was mid at best for D.C I was expecting a lot better. Then when it came to the bill we were charged $4 for each bottle (of which we were not even told there was a charge at all for water, and no we did not specifically ask for a sealed bottle all we asked for was water the sever never said tap or bottled, she just automatically brought us sealed) when on the menu they were priced at $3.50 sure it's .50 but when there was five that .50 extra could have almost bought another bottle. Also when she brought the bill she did not even show the itemized bill at first all she showed was the tip screen which upon doing the math from what we ordered vs paid we realized the amount was way higher than what we got and so we asked for the copy of the receipt only to find out there was ALREADY a service charge on there of which was NOT a credit card charge because we paid in cash and when asked what the cash total was she told us $60.31 yet the copy showed the cash price was $57.91 also they charge for charcoal, what am i suppose to do bring my own charcoal? i've never had to pay extra for charcoal they just include it with hookah price, absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the vibes in this place is like an absolute funeral, all the pictures made this place look so fun and great, but no it was worse than funeral. I felt even more so like i was at a funeral after I realized how badly my wallet was robbed. I will never come back here.

It ended up being too hot for us to enjoy outside but the server was nice enough to move our large party indoors without a wait. I ordered the sangria and it was so fruity and refreshing. Where this place falls flat for me is the food. We went for brunch so I'm not sure what their lunch and dinner menu looked like but I had their chicken and waffles. Typically, I'm used to having this dish with just chicken on top of a waffle with a side of syrup that you can pour over. This dish was drenched with a sauce that wasn't syrup but still sort of sweet? It wasn't necessarily *bad*, it's just that I wasn't expecting it. I didn't end up finishing it and my friends weren't impressed with some of the other dishes. I will say though...that Harissa Shrimp? Give me 14 of them.

It took 10 minutes for the bartender to hand me a water and ask what I wanted (though he never gave me a menu). After ordering, no one checked on me until my plates were empty and drink was dry. I ordered the beet salad and truffle fries. The food was good but certainly not worth the price. I'm happy to pay good money but seeing the well done lamb chops beside me, I decided to go with a safe Girl Dinner. I won't be back, even if I need a cute spot for pictures with the girls. This spot isn't worth it, there are too many great places to eat in DC to settle
