I brought up that I would like to have a baby and I feel that this location was my reign of luck. Shortly after, I became pregnant. I saw many doctors and each one did not fall short of wonderful. The nurses were also absolutely amazing. Up to the day of having my baby everything was just wonderful. When it was time to be induced, I was met with wonderful ladies in labor and maternity. Toward the end of my visit, I was so sad to go because it felt like it became home for me and the nurses felt as though I had known them for so long. My daughter Alessandra had a rough first week and came back in to be put in the NICU for Jaundice treatment. The entire time, the nurses were very welcoming and supportive. My daughter as I write this is now 3 weeks old and doing absolutely amazing. She excels every single day and is growing beautiful and healthy. I couldn't thank the whole team enough. It actually makes me look forward to hopefully having another child in the future because I definitely will be coming here if I still live in the area! Thank you to the team at NYPH! You're all loved!

NOT ER. This is a medical appointment with Dr Choi So far,…read moreso good. Arrival experience: Valet parking was smooth with friendly valet. Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I will review Dr Choi separately.

From the moment I arrived, I was quickly swept up in the smooth and caring processing and care of hospital staff: after a thorough preliminary exam, I was soon transferred to the hospital itself for 24 hours of careful and thoughtful treatment. I was deeply moved by the kind attention of every member of their staff and the warm dynamic they employed. Discharged yesterday, I am now slowly returning to normal thanks to the unquestioned care of this fine institution and dedicated staff. We are lucky to have this kind of quality option in the mid Hudson Valley.

On the next day she was admitted into hospital. All the staff we met when she stayed there were responsible, kind, and patient. Especially Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa, who was in charge of my mother in ER, was very experienced and rich in medical knowledge. He diagnosed accurately and gave the best treatment quickly. He was also very patient when explaining the situation to my mother and persuaded her to accept the next step treatment ASAP, which allowed her symptoms to be relieved the next day without need of surgery. In a word Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa is not only excellent in his medical practice, but also sincerely concerned for his patient's well being, and care for their emotion need as well. Thanks Dr. Fritzgerald Estinfa and Good Samaritan Hospital, who gave my mother a wonderful experience in a urgent health problem.

We also had a private waiting room that was very helpful for family to gather.

Called twice no response, put two messages on my portal, no response. I had to physically go to the office and waited 2 hrs to get a prescription. Today, I needed a revised script for a biopsy, the imaging department called the office, got a snippy answer but no prescription. Again. Had to go to office. This is disgusting. This is not the first time but it continues to happen. When are these issue going to be addressed.

Over worked staff, whom rarely show they are paying attention to the needs of the patient. The "nicer" building in photographs, is not for patients, it's for PR. Hospital was sued for 120 million, at the "better" location. Due to caring for many older relatives, never been in such a dirty place. Chicago, NYC, to Florida, all took better care of my family. Frankly, wouldn't let them care for a cat. Shameful to call this a "working" hospital. Save you time, get to Vassar, if in that area. They took wonderful care, after my father's stroke on Christmas Eve. Cold Spring's ambulance service, deserves special mention for their incredible care, 3 flights of steep stairs to carry him. They literally saved his life, as was due for surgery, in Chicago. Vassar foubd an infection, treated it, thus he survived the operation. Deep thanks to the ambulance ER team. If had photograph, could post the "real" Pougkeepsie Midhuson Regional Hospital. Google, you see the new building, which patients can see, from the actual (frankly scummy) buildings they place the sick. VASSAR, or get to lower Westchester.

The Nurse Practitioner refused to give me antibiotics, insisting my issue was viral. She told me to go home and use a Neti Pot and a humidifier. I did exactly that and only got worse. Went in again tonight. Another Nurse Practitioner. She wanted to know why I didn't follow up with my GP. My GP is an hour from me and I cannot drive due to the dizziness of this infection. She scolded me about this as if she were a school nurse (I am a 50-year-old woman) and resisted the idea of giving me antibiotics. This one told me to use a decongestant to dry myself up, contradicting the previous instructions to use a humidifier and a Neti pot. I explained that I have been living on OTC decongestants and antihistamines, as well as prescription pain killers, which don't help. The entire left side of my face was in severe pain, my teeth hurt as if someone was hammering nails into my jaw. The green snot and blood has only increased -- and she wants to send me home without antibiotics? I emphasized the pain I was in and she said: "I'll give them to you...this time." as if I were some drug addict looking for a fix. Are antibiotics the new recreational drug of choice? What gives? Why are these women so against giving proper treatment for what is so clearly an infection? One shouldn't have to beg for antibiotics!
