We've been fans of Oreck for many years now. After all of my years of visiting this store, I've never received such top-notch customer service as I did today. Typically, you'll receive not so friendly service and your typical salesperson trying to take advantage, if you didn't know better. However, in this case, Steve was a breath of fresh air. He answered all my questions quickly and accurately. We came in to Oreck to purchase a handheld vacuum and we wanted to make sure we were getting one that works well for us. Steve was extremely informative, which made us feel great about our new purchase. He wasn't your pushy salesman trying to make a sale. He wanted to make sure we got the best for our buck. After the purchase, he kindly carried the vaccum to our car, without us asking for any assistance. If you're looking for a great vacuum that will last a lifetime, I highly recommend Oreck. And be sure to ask for Steve! I would rate 5 stars, but the others 2 men working there were not friendly and kept looking awfully cold whenever we made eye contact. read more

Wow such a shady move. Ordered a new vacuum Miele to be exact. Paied 400 dollars for it. Everything indicated it would be new, the writing said it would be new. Then it came USED, in no box. Clearly either a floor model or used. So shady. When I reach out to them, they issued a return label without ANY explanation. These folks are really shady. Be careful. I am in the process of resolving this issue and will update depending on how it is resolved. Steer so clear of these manipulators. They will take advantage of you and your money. Selling equipment that is not new as new is fraud, especially without telling you first. When you go to a box store you can buy opened stuff, but this was so deceptive. Do not order from them online. UPDATE: They claim that manufacturing supply lines are destroying their boxes. that really doesn't matter. If you open a new product then you need to communicate that. I also didn't receive anything to register my warrantee which is also super sketch and their lack of empathy or recognition of this is concerning to say the least. There is nothing that says these weren't tampered with or broken then repaired and sold as new and lack of communication raises a lot of concerns. STAY.AWAY and if you go, you were warned. read more

Bought a miele vacuum and was sent one that was clearly used. There was hair in the attachments and dings and scrapes. The bristles were also somewhat worn out. Nowhere was it mentioned that I would be buying a used product. update: They replaced the vacuum with an upgraded model , so I updated the rating to reflect that . read more

Eric was the guy who helped us fixed our vacuum, his customer service was A+, he greeted us with a big smile and very delightful manner. He supposed to fixed just the bag holder but he noticed the brush was bit up so he change that as well. I don't have a problem driving 35 minutes far from where I live (Layton) which by the way there's vacuum 360 as well 7 minutes away from our house, but this store sold me because of this guy. This is a great place! We brought in our vacuum that's over 15 years and nothing else was really wrong with it but it stopped rolling! Eric was not only very friendly he was very knowledgeable he knows vacuums! It wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be! They had a variety of vacuums various prices. Ordered a Bissell steam fresh mop in May which never came. I was told they were back ordered. Then, I was advised that I should cancel my order as there was no expected time for delivery. I paid $130.52 and am still waiting for my refund. Greg, the manager, has been unresponsive, and I keep leaving messages with Eric. read more

Do not come to this place. I had my bissell vacuum stop working out of no where. So, I contacted bosses for them to tell me that it was under warranty to fix and to take it here. I was told even if I did not have a receipt that the vacuum 360 would be able to look it up under serial number. Well, I walked in last Saturday with no one is the store except for the employee (do not know his name). I told him what happened and he continued to tell me that I needed the receipt. I told him no, I was told other wise and that he could look it up. This man was SO LAZY and didn't want to help me. I decided to head over to City Wide Vacuum and they help me by looking my serial number up to see that it was under warranty. I visited this store to obtain some parts for my Oreck vacuum. Instead of ordering the parts I needed online, I decided to try and receive them the same day from the Oreck store. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by the store attendant. She was very friendly and willing to help. The attendant knew exactly what I needed when I explained it to her. The parts I needed were in stock, so it paid off to visit the store instead of trying to order the parts online. The cost of the parts were very reasonable. When I had further questions regarding the maintenance of my vacuum, the attendant was knowledgeable. She was even able to show me on the other model vacuums in the store. I was very pleased with my visit to the Oreck store. The service was great, the parts I needed was immediately available, and the cost of the replacement parts was excellently priced. I am a professional housecleaner and have frequented this Oreck location no less than a few DOZEN times. I have purchased several vacuums as well as other accessories throughout the last decade via this location. As loyal as I have been to them, unfortunately, they failed to reciprocate a similar sentiment. There was a while there, where they apparently had a bad series of hirings apparently. I would drop off my vacuum for repairs and nothing I needed done was even addressed or fixed. I also got talked into buying a more expensive vacuum that was completely wrong for my business. Their attitude was not really sympathetic either. More like oh well, that's unfortunate. I literally had to beg for some sort of compensation and I begrudgingly got some vacuum bags. I finally gave up on them when they told me that my XL 21 vacuum would require $150 dollars worth of repairs. I decided to get a second opinion from the Oreck store in Sandy and they told me it would be just $40 to fix it. Even though I live right up the street from this location, I drive out to Sandy to get my vacuums serviced because they are so great over there it is worth the trip! They even price matched when I was buying yet another new vacuum!. Take it from a pro- you're better off skipping this place and giving your business to the great staff over on 106th. read more

Took my Hoover Platinum lightweight vacuum in for repairs. It was still under warranty. I told the repairman (and I use that word very loosely), Eric, what was wrong with the vacuum and he briefly glanced at it and indicated it will take a long time for Hoover to ship him the parts. He said that he still has Hoovers waiting for about five months for parts. He indicated when a Hoover part is on back order he has no idea when they will be in. I decided to leave the vacuum there and asked him to give me a call that day after he finds out if the parts he needed for repair will be on back order. After leaving the store, I'd called the Hoover customer service support and explained to them my frustration about this specific service location and the rep said this store have had problems in the past. The store called me back and surprise, surprise they told me the parts will be on back order. I went back to the store that evening and took the vacuum back from them. Dropped it off at Smith-Crown and they told me it will only take them 2 days. Smith-Crown called me the next day and said the vacuum is fixed. They had the parts and said they never have a problem with Hoover parts being on back order. Stay far far away this place! You have been warned. read more
