    New sector 9 board purchased today.

    Longboarding has been my hobby for years and this Val Surf is my go-to for picking up new board equipment. Youre not going to find better boards or a more knowledgeable staff in the Santa Clarita Valley. Everyone is friendly and will be real with you about your expectations. Charles helped me buy this gorgeous Sector 9 board and answered every question I had. Highly recommended. Avoid the competitors.

    Easy and easy out. I brought my skis to them for a wax and sharpen and they did a great job for a reasonable price.

The professionalism and customer service was outstanding. As a casual amateur fisher-dad that doesn't want to disappoint the kids (and wife lol) every time we go fishing, I would like to sincerely thank this shop and the staff that assisted our visit here last Sunday. Not only did we feel welcomed, we were taken care of with genuine kindness and helpful information. I wish I remembered the employee's name, he was the only one there on a Sunday morning, but he was excellent. He helped answer all the questions we had about our fishing trip to Castaic Lake for the first time. He showed us all the recommended baits/lures/tackles, educated us on different casting setups, and took the time to show us how to efficiently and effectively tie everything together. With his recommended products and setup (that he helped put together) on my daughter's toy fishing pole, she caught her first fish (bass!) within 10minutes of being on the boat. At the end of the half-day fishing trip she caught 2 and the wife caught 1 all with the products that he recommended. Not too bad for first timers there on a "slow" day! Thank you Tackle Express! We'll definitely come back for our next fishing trip.

    I shopped at the store a couple of months ago looking for some new boots that I had seen on their…read morewebsite. It turns out the boots I wanted were not stocked in the store and I was told the boots had to be ordered online. I am always hesitant to order boots that I cannot test fit first, but I was assured I could exchange them if I needed a different size. So, I went ahead and ordered the boots online and also added a t-shirt that caught my eye. When the order arrived, the boots fit good but the t-shirt was a size too small. A couple of days ago I drove to the retail store to simply exchange the t-shirt for the next bigger size, which they had in-stock. That's when I was shocked to find out that they could not exchange the shirt for a bigger size. The reason given was that they changed their return policy and all online order returns must be done by shipping the item back to their warehouse. I asked the salesperson if I could just drive to the warehouse (2.4 miles away) to make the exchange, but was told the warehouse is now closed to the public. (I'd visited the warehouse in the past to pickup previous orders held in will call.) So when I went home and got online to process a return/exchange, I found out that I am required to pay $15.00 for a FedEx shipping label to have the item shipped. For a $16.00 t-shirt, it's ridiculous to pay $15.00 to ship the item back just to exchange it for the proper size. I've been a customer of LAPG for several years and have always been pleased with the retail store staff, but I am not at all pleased with this new corporate exchange/return policy. Seems ridiculous that I could not simply exchange a t-shirt which is one size too small for the correct size shirt which is right there, in-stock, just because the original purchase was done online. The only reason I originally made the order online was because the boots I wanted were not stocked in-store. So if I'd been able to originally purchase the boots and t-shirt in-store, I would have been able to exchange the t-shirt in-store. But, because I purchased online, I have to pay $15.00 for shipping so I could get the correct size shirt? This makes absolutely no sense and online buyers should be aware of this ridiculous policy.

Mind you, we were carrying product that we purchased shortly after but for whatever reason this gentleman found it necessary to march out and essentially throw a thinly veiled accusation at us. It's very clear he thought we were attempting to shoplift and without valid reason. I implore that this person do better in the future. I won't be returning to this store and will be telling others about my experience here.

We are right in the middle of fishing season and it would be nice to see a sporting good's store with a decent amount of inventory. The sales associate in the front of the store greeted us when we arrived and wished us a good day. This store is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking even though it is a busy parking lot.

    Let me begin with a disclaimer: this is a 5 star review entirely because of Pam and Laura…read more We recently hosted a high school sports banquet at The Oaks Club and overall it was a wonderful experience. Pam, Sales Director - Private Events, and Laura, Private Event Services Manager, were truly one of the best teams I have ever worked with. I've been organizing banquets and events for many years at a variety of venues, and they stand out at the very top. They were professional, responsive, detail oriented, and genuinely invested in making our event special. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and they anticipated needs before we even had to ask. They truly elevated our banquet to another level for our deserving coaches, families, and players. Amanda, the banquet captain, and her team also did an amazing job the night of the event. They were attentive, organized, and kept everything running smoothly. The room looked beautiful, service was seamless, and the entire evening felt polished and well executed. The food was also really good, which honestly can be a question mark when you're serving a large buffet to a huge crowd. You just never know what the quality will be like in those situations. The Oaks Club absolutely delivered. The food was fresh, well prepared, and plentiful, and we received many compliments from the guests. That said, I do want to share one concern. Another sports team from our school, which does not have a booster club and therefore must process payments through the school district and school account, ran into an issue during the contracting process. Instead of the club's legal counsel contacting the school district directly to discuss his concerns, he chose to insert his own revised verbiage into the contract. Understandably, the school district was not comfortable with those changes, and unfortunately the banquet arrangements fell through as a result. The team then had to scramble to find another location that would sign the contract according to district requirements. It was disappointing, especially since this could have likely been resolved through direct communication. Ultimately, it felt like a big loss for The Oaks Club on a weekday night over what seemed to be a few negotiable wording adjustments. If the legal counsel hopes to bring in future business from local high school teams, he needs to figure out a smoother process for these contract situations. While our event itself was a success and we're very grateful to Pam, Laura, Amanda, and the entire team for their efforts, I hope future situations involving school issued payments are handled with clearer communication and collaboration with the appropriate parties. Thank you Pam, Laura and team!  You guys are the best!
