Came out here looking for comfortable shoes while I'm going through health issues. The website had vionic and ryka and others. I drove from North Hollywood and I have Breast Cancer. I walked in at 3. There wasn't a customer in sight. Just me. The girl working was sitting by the counter texting on her cell the whole time. She never looked up once to ask if I needed help. I walked around for awhile. One other guy working was sitting too and didn't even acknowledge me. I was looking at Nike shoes at one point right next To the female employee. Again she didn't look up. Update: I appreciate the response from Julie. I like a company that pays attention to their reviews. I've changed my one star review to 4 because of the reply, and I'll give the store another try. I used to shop here a lot but hadn't been in for a while so last week when I was in the shopping center for something else, I went in since I need a couple of new pairs of sneakers. It was about 4:30p on a weekday so there were no other customers, just me and three employees. I walked around for a while and looked at all the women's shoe. I walked past each employee twice and not one of them made eye contact or spoke one word to me the entire time I was in the store. I took the hint and left without purchasing any of the shoes I wanted. Perhaps sales is not the avenue you should pursue. read more

This review is inregards to a delivery that was delivered by fedex ground but delivered to the incorrect apartment verified by a picture that clearly has the incorrect apartment until in the picture. I first called fedex to advise of the mi's delivery but was instructed to contact the shipper. So when I called to notify that my delivery was misdelivered and that I have not received the delivey(which in itself is whole different nightmare because my neighbors are indeed not friendly enough to answer their door let alone give me my package back). I was told that I need to wait 8 days before I can file a complaint. Which, is wild to me because 1. I have the picture of the package placed in front of the incorrect apartment unit by fedex and 2. Seems outrageous to have to wait until then to request a refund since I do not have the package. I needed them by a certain date so therefore I will not be ordering again. This place has a lot of parking, so that's a plus right there. I like that this location is not very busy. Since the location in Porter Ranch has closed down, this has been my go-to for casual and work shoes. I find that Famous Footwear always has a deal going on, such as 15% off your purchase or a BOGO deal of buy 1, get 1 half off. I recommend downloading their app to see if they have the shoe in this location in stock and also if there are any coupons that you can apply to your purchase. read more

I really wanted me some boots this cool season and I just had no luck with this footwear that is supposedly famous. Originally I bought online, I was excited, the boots looked cute, a friend had recommended it to me. But they don't send you tracking or a date, just an arbitrary 4-7 business days or something like that and in this day and age that kinda irked me. It's an Amazon world people! After a week or so of anxiously staring at my mailman, I got an email saying they were out of stock. I was immediately refunded, but it took over a week to look in the warehouse to see they did have it? Whatever. I still wanted boots so I went to the real store. I was surprised at the small selection to choose from, a row on long boots and a row of ankle boots. I wanted calf length boots so I was down to one row and they had limited sizes. I finally settled on a pair a friendly sales lady helped me find and walked around in the store a bit to make sure it fit. I walked around a little more at home, thinking the pain was just that new shoe pain to break in but alas, I deemed them just not the right fit and took them back the next morning. At this point I just wanted a refund, not store credit because I obviously am not having any luck with this company, but the man at the counter said whether I had bought them less than 24 hours ago (which I had) or 8 hours ago, because I had worn them I was lucky to be even getting the store credit. Not only did I feel like that was a pretty rude way to say that, but how am I supposed to know if a shoe fits if I don't wear it? Had there been rips, tears, stains, or gum stuck on the bottom I would've understood (despite his rudeness). But none of that was there. I walked around their store and my apartment and wiped them off before taking them back anyway. Maybe it's just people being rude around the holidays, but I won't be using this company for any further shoe needs. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this store for several reasons. 1. They have sporty as well as dressy shoes. 2. They have a lot of specials, such as, buy one get one 50% off. 3. Prices are reasonable and with the BOGO specials, even better. 4. Great variety of sporty shoes for men and women. A few things that could improve include: 1. Better selection of dressy shoes. Most of the shoes were styles from back in the 90's. 2. Finding shoes in popular sizes seems to be challenging. Inventory management could use some work. Service was good. I did not personally need any assistance, but from an observation perspective the folks working here were helpful and had a positive attitude. It's a small store, so they have to select inventory wisely, so that may explain the limited selection and size on shoes. Overall, with the BOGO specials I'll be a returning customer. read more

Limited selection compared to the shoe super-warehouses but they do have the essentials, at least for me! I was looking for running shoes and found a great deal on some New Balance wide cut shoes. My feet are like Fred Flintsone's feet so I need wide shoes. Big 5 doesn't really specialize in wides so I was heading to Sport Chalet with the mindset that I need to pay a heap of money for shoes-not today! I got my shoes for $60 and I was out the door in under 20 minutes. WIN! read more

Located within a pretty big strip mall; right next to Party City. The store isn't really that big, but it does have limited selection on brand name items at a reasonable price. The store is fairly easy to navigate with women on one side and man on the other. The staff is helpful and the store is fairly well kept. read more

This location has the best customer service ever. The women that work here go above and beyond. Leslie (I believe her name was) helped me with a return tonight and she went above and beyond. Yeah, never coming here again. I went here because I heard it was buy one pair, get the second one for half price, and the shoes there were at a reasonable price. The styles have gotten better BUT The service is simply terrible. I didn't need any help to find the pairs of shoes. Well first, no one even asked me if I needed assistance. There was a girl name Aileena, (or something similar to that) and I've never met anyone so rude and unfriendly. I really don't know why they work if they do not care about their customers. Yesterday night, I saw that members get another fifteen percent off, and I simply just asked her if I was able to get it. However, instead of helping me and assisting me in kindly saying that I need a coupon, she very rudely told me. Frustrated, I looked onto my phone to find the notice, but the internet was not working that well. Out of all the times! I kept glancing back at her because I felt bad, but all I got were dirty looks. I only gave it one star because that is the minimum. If I was able to give zero stars, I would give this location a zero. If you are going to buy shoes at Famous Footwear, go to one at a different location. Amazing customer service! Bought a few flip flops with my daughter in hand and had the Manager help me with the search & purchase. Of course, I made quite a mess in the corner of the sandals area and was asked to stop helping with the clean-up and make my way to the register; this is how to run a retail store. Unfortunately, I found the same flip flops on Amazon for $14 less and decided to return my purchase in the name of savings. This was my first time at a Famous Footwear store. They have a decent selection of athletic and casual shoes. The store is rather small but was very well organized and uncrowded. Some of the popular brands they carry include Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Vans, Converse, ASICS and more. Prices range from about $39.99 to $89.99. They were out of stock on the shoes I was looking for. Coincidently, Issac (sales manager) was actually wearing the shoes I wanted to buy lol. He provided great service and placed an order for me to have the shoes delivered to my house via Fed Ex 2nd day air with free shipping. They also have an excellent website where people can browse through all the shoes they carry. Every shoe has what they call a "style number". If you see something you like, writing down that style number makes it easier for employees to find once you arrive at the store. read more

There was a gentleman named Jason who assisted me and let me know about specials going on in your store. He seemed very knowledgeable as well as very courteous and kind. The prices are not knock-your-socks off cheap, but you will get some good deals on well-known brands. I was in the market for a good trail shoe that I could wear hiking in Hawaii, and I found a nice pair of Earth Origins shoes for $49.99. They came in super handy scaling the wet boulders of the Na'pali Coast. Hubby got some great hiking shoes, which worked well for him, too. They were $89.99. Giant signs in try the windows and inside try the store said "clearance, buy one get one half off." You have to see the actual display to fully appreciate this review. In short, I bought two pairs of the same shoes, but was charged full price...the second pair wasn't half off. I asked why and the manager said it only applied to the clearance items. I said that try the add doesn't say that. "Sure it does. It says clearance right in try the add." Okay, talk about deceptive advertising. There was no fine print saying it applied only to select items or only to items in a clearance section. I initially bought the shoes, but returned them about 20 mins later on principle. I don't do business with companies in the practice of deceiving customers. I told the manager and he didn't seem to care. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star! Negative is all this store deserves! I'm a regular shopper (I was) till today. I was attempting to exchange a pair of shoes out of the "30 Day" return policy, with my receipt which showed my purchase of over $130 total on that visit for a couple pairs of shoes. The manager advised me my $40 salndals that I was wanting to exchange was only worth $10 since it was over the 30 days. Really? I understand stores have their policies and normally I wouldn't question it, but I shop (shopped) @ that location regularly, visits are rarely less than $50 for 1 pair of shoes and the manager was out and out a jerk about it! Trying to tell me "there was nothing he could do", gimme a break! I've been a regular customer for years, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, I was returning a brand new pair of unworn sandals that could be re-sold. It's not a regular practice for me to return shoes.. I'll shop elsewhere. FF shoe prices & "sales" aren't even a great deal. read more
