Please buyer beware. I took my car to this mechanic and he told me I needed a timing belt replacement, well he kept the car for 5 days before replacing timing belt. Up to that point I had great air conditioning in my car. Well the next day after picking up my car I had to use air and realized it no longer worked. I called Kevin owner and told him and he was very defensive saying he never touched air. I said can I bring it in to be checked. Well he made appt for 9 days from phone call. I took care of in he held it for 2 days told me it was a broken wire and AAA must have did the damage. He said it would 200 and he could sodder it but I really should pay 850.00 as it needs a new compressor. I agreed to fixing wire. Well he said he would do a good job and sodder wire. Then next day he calls and says I need a compressor 850.00. Sooooo dishonest. Please do not take your car there as he can NOT BE TRUSTED. I picked my car up land would never ever go back or have anyone I know go there. Sad how dishonest people could be. read more

I highly don't recommend going to this mechanic, brought my car in early in the morning to get my spark plugs fixed, we had a great talk said they had every part I needed to get done....9 hours later told me I had to pick up my car and nothing was done but now my coolant light is on!!!! read more

This shop is great. Kevin always tries to accommodate you if he can in a timely manner. Prices are good and their work is solid. I rolled up with a screw in my tire and they pulled it, told me it didn't go through so it didn't need a patch and sent me on the way with no charge. Couldn't ask for a better service. Canadian on a roadtrip my van was having difficulties i brought it here at 8:30am. They could see i was worried and stressed about getting it back the same dayor else i'd have nowhere to sleep that night. They did all they could to get it done the same day i believe they even stayed late just for my van everything was working great! The next morning he even called me back to make sure everything was going well. When i told him i could still hear some moises he told me to bring it in anytime and he'll double check. Inspected day-of with no appointment in under 3 hours. They don't take appointments but were happy to tell me over the phone when a less busy time would be to come in. I didn't have up-to-date proof of insurance in the car, but it was no problem for me to leave my old insurance card, go home, take a picture of an up-to-date card, and send it via text message. After the inspection, Mr. Kevin took some time out to discuss the pros and cons of replacing my tires. He even pointed out that the tires still have some life left in them and all they really need is a tire balancing, not a replacement, a service he doesn't charge as much for. We live in the neighborhood and we've known Kevin for years since we walk back and forth past his shop on the way to the park. We have new cars that never needed any repair work done. When I inherited an old 1991 Ford Bronco, it needed a tune-up and some electrical troubleshooting for it to pass inspection. Kevin found a short in the steering wheel that was affecting the cruise control and the rear turn signals. He fixed everything and the price was very reasonable. Said he would Fail my inspection if unless I bought his wiper blades apparently their the Best ones ever and only cost $140.00 yea well I flipped out put on my RainX blades that they said were wrong because I didn't buy from them. I have 1st met Kevin back in 2004 when I had a 1991 Ford Taurus at the time he had a small shop at 2nd and Snyder then he partnered with valaitis motors and eventually took over the repair shop at the time I thought he was reasonable on parts and labor I have and my father have been taken our prior cars which were a 91 Taurus 94 Acura legend 86 Toyota van and 83 Ford Fairmont. The prices on labor comes off the top of his head he doesn't use chiltons or Mitchell labor guide it could be a hit or miss with the labor it should be a standard practice to use those labor guides and charge an hourly rate based on that. I haven't gone to him since 2009 but I became smarter when it comes to car repairs shop around and ask for the hourly labor rate and try to look how long the job will take by purchasing a labor guide. read more
