MY FAVORITE OPTOMETRY HANDS DOWN! I've been coming here for a few years now and I feel like I need to give an actual positive review because they truly deserve it. I've gone to several optometry offices and it's hard to get knowledgeable help. Everyone I worked with in this office has been so pleasant to work with and also they know their stuff! Dr Song is AMAZING!! She goes into detail with everything and is so friendly and welcoming! I love her personality. She is always so fun to talk to and easy going. You can tell she has a passion for optometry and truly cares to help. Hats off to Amber! She is the GOAT! Worked with her several times and she's always so positive and funny. She is very patient as well. I usually have a hard time finding the right frames that fit my face and I need to try a lot of pairs til I find the right one. She helped me find a pair I loved so easily but let me try on a handful of their wide selection of frames. I also got to work with Sona who assisted with Amber. She helped me fit my frames to my face and she got it done so fast and so perfectly. Thank you Jackie! Jackie was the one that pre tested me and the whole experience was actually fun. She made jokes and we laughed most of the time. It wasn't such a boring and straight forward eye test. It was a casual but professional and fun experience! Last but not least i also had assistance from Miracle to help me with finding frames and getting her advice. She was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Miracle! Oh and also, after all of that, Phillip, one of the nicest guys I've ever met, helped with getting my contacts ordered and making sure everything goes smoothly. I honestly love coming to my annual eye exam with Dr. Song! She is so knowledgeable and has such a friendly personality. She's honestly the sweetest and always does an amazing job checking my eyes and explaining the health of my eyes to me. Jackie was incredibly sweet, efficient, and informative while completing all of the tests before my exam. While I was waiting, Amber and Miracle were fantastic and helped me narrow down some frame options. They were also so helpful in putting together different pricing quotes for both my boyfriend and I. Sona did an amazing job adjusting my boyfriend's glasses seamlessly, and he was so happy with how they turned out! And of course, I can't forget Philip! I can always count on him to follow up with my contact lens trials and make sure my contacts get ordered. Everyone is always so kind, helpful, and attentive, which is why I genuinely look forward to coming back every year. Currently I'm away from my regular optometrist and forgot to schedule an appointment ahead of time. I currently have low tier coverage with limited options of in network facilities so I was a little reluctant to try a new place. I called and Philip was up front with me while still being friendly as they were booked out. I was added to the cancellation list and shortly after received another call as they were able to accommodate. So far everyone has been friendly and patient with myself being a bit wishy washy with what I wanted and seeing others needing assistance as well. Dr. Song is very attentive, knowledgeable and patient with your needs. I appreciate the transparency and medical advice. The only thing contradicting was the explanation of getting dilated by her assistants vs with her. There is a chance you cannot drive after and might need a few hours post dilation to ensure it's safe to do so so I am glad I inquired with Dr. Song about it as well. I wear daily contacts acuve oasys hydraluxe and it is a bit steeper in price point here. I do wish my contact sitting fee was disclosed with me in the beginning vs the ending as I had to try not to react to the fee. I also know my coverage isn't the best right now so it is what it is. Dr. Song is an amazing optometrist. She really cares for her patients and she has a great sense of humor. We have been going to Dr. Song for the past two years. My daughter and I came in to pick out glasses yesterday 7/8/25. We have to do a shout for one of Dr. Song's employees - Amber. My daughter never had glasses before. Amber took her time in helping my daughter find her glasses. Amber was patient, very knowledgeable about glasses, design (I was impressed). BEST hidden gem Eye Doctor in Santa Clarita!! We Adore Dr. Song and have been a faithful patient for over 10 years! Dr. Song is Amazing and very knowledgeable in her Specialty! Received my first contacts from her years ago, am Soo Happy and have had no issues since. My husband also has contacts and reader glasses and Dr. Song has been the only Doctor to get his prescription on-point! Would also like to recognize 2 Employees; Phillip and Amber that go above and beyond proving EXCELLENT patient customer service!! I'm in for my annual and getting an update for a prescription and Dr. Song has always been upfront with me on where my vision is going. Her employees are always pleasant and the selection of glasses fits even guys like me that think looking like John Lennon with round trim glasses is totally cool! (okay 20 years ago). I like the way they help you find the right frames, it's a system that works and I've yet to feel bad about my glasses and get compliments from friends and family on them. The exams are thorough and you're not going to get the experience you'd get at places like Lens Crafters where you feel like you're dealing with a used car salesman, (my experience prior to finding out about Valencia Optometry). Order lenses from them and forget about them. They claim lenses should go to the insurance lenses shop. If so, what do this shop do?, Just sell the frames and call themselves optometrists? Long story- I bought the frame from amazon and i got it in a day. Ordered lenses from here and i initially got them in 2 weeks but the lenses were very badly fit. My 5 year old would do a better job at it. So we sent it back. Now its been more than 3 weeks and after too many follow ups, we got the glasses back to only find they did one of the glasses but not the other. At this point, the doctor steps in to only say i need to pay more for some other features and it will take another 3 weeks. Hopeless. Their business model sucks. They only sell the frame and send them for fitting to somewhere else. And their choice of enternal lens fitters is horrible too. A bunch of jokers and a timepass practice. Not a serious optometrists. In all this mess, only the staff was little empathetic. But who needs just empathy in a medical need? And why we shd go to a place who cannot get us glasses even after 8 weeks and the other optometrists could get it in a week's time with same insurance plan. For emergency medical equipment like lenses are being handled this way, what makes you believe this process and the retailers? Totally disappointed! Definitely avoid them. read more

Have been coming here for years. That being said, today's visit was an eye exam with dilation and frame picking. 2 and a half hours. 2 AND A HALF HOURS. On top of that, and I get the whole HIPAA thing, but come on. My 17 year old was taken to the back, I could hear the conversion on the other side of the wall, and they're discussing insurance coverage and explaining to him what is covered and what is not and asking HIM which procedures he would like done. So I interjected and told them what procedures. Then they took him to look at frames, even though I said we were just there for the exams. Different employee, proceeds to again go over coverages with him and what lenses are covered and telling him the additional charges for everything that is not covered and then asks him what he wants to do. This time he said "we should have my dad here for this discussion". I can't trust that my 17 year old washes his ass right every day or brushes his teeth every day but he's supposed to make financial decisions about MY money? Of course, he knew better, but why didn't they? Understanding HIPAA regulations I get that they can't directly ask me first, but you can ask him if its ok to discuss these financial and insurance matters with a parent, and his answer obviously would have been yes and then I would have dealt with it. But unfortunately that's not how it went. read more

You're not going to get better care anywhere else. Dr. Song is so caring and considerate to her patients. I used to go to Costco optometry for 7 years but ended up with prescription that was 3 times stronger than necessary. Someone suggested that I go to her and got the right prescription and for the past 4 years I have not gone anywhere else but here. All of my relatives are now going here for their eye care and also many members of our church. I highly recommend this doctor if you have eye needs. read more

Walmart was booked, so they referred me to this office. Dr. Diane Song is a pleasure. She informed me that the prescription in my right eye was too strong and probably the reason I've been getting headaches. I got my new glasses (it took about two hours) last weekend and I havent had a headache since. They have a great selection of frames, but I brought my old frames. They accept insurance, and without insurance, the exams are $49 for glasses. They are actually cheaper than Walmart's optometrist, and the lenses were not nearly as expensive as Lens Crafters. I was so satisfied when I first began coming here for eye care. But the last two visits compelled me to walk out today! Last year I sat in the waiting area for quite awhile before I asked if DR. Song was even there. She was not! After my eye photos I had to call repeatedly for the results. Today the visit was running late again. The doctor told an assistant to come in the exam room to help me " in five minutes . " I was led out to the finance and frame fitting area so DR. Song could squeeze in another last minute patient, who received a full exam! Finally I was back in the exam room, asking what happened She said the man asked to be seen so he could make another appointment elsewhere! She laughed as she apologized. I have been searching for an optometrist with a good selection of eyeglass frames and voila, then I found Valencia Optometry. Their selection of frames is fantastic, but even better is the customer service I've received. The staff are knowledgable and very patient; it takes me forever to pick out a pair of frames. They allowed me to examine and try on so many different pairs and I never felt rushed. That is important to me. Due to my high perception the lenses didn't fit the frames properly. Jocelyn was a huge help in the process of picking out new frames that would fit the width of my lenses. This place is amazing. I never felt rushed and always felt well cared for, by all the staff, and the doctor. Dr. Song is very knowledgeable, and was able to prescribe glasses for my very high prescription. She also treated an eye infection I had. She did this with kindness and caring, something hard to find in health care, This office also has an in house optometry lab, and can make glasses in an hour! Because of my high prescription, the lenses had to be ordered, however that will still take less than a week. After an exam I was told both my kids needed glasses. While I was dealing with paperwork I realized one of the staff had taken both of my kids (10 and 7) to the eye glasses to pick out frames. First of all, I was not intending on purchasing glasses form the office and even if I had been, my kids would definitely not have free choice to decide on whatever frame they wanted without consulting me first. The crazy thing, my 7 year old needed to go to a specialist and after a very thorough exam I was told he had 20/20 vision. He DID NOT need glasses. We stupidly purchased glasses for my 10 year old (from Walmart) and when they finally arrived I couldn't tell the slightest difference in clarity with her prescription. besides the "up-selling" the office is filthy. I even asked the gal at the front desk how long they had been in the office, thinking they had just moved in. She said they'd been there for years! It was a total mess. I will NEVER go back. First visit I must have been the invisible woman, no greeting, no we will be with you in a moment, no eye contact... nothing! The cases were all locked so I could only look but not try on any frames. I decided to revisit a few days later hoping I would be able to talk with someone. Many of the frame cases were empty and the clerk said it would take him too long to fill them. Seriously? He also wouldn't let me touch the frames. He told me I had to wait for him to hand them to me. I guess he thought I was going to steal, bend, or abuse the frames. Certainly not a welcoming place to spend $400-$500 on frames and lenses. On a side note.... the office is FILTHY and cluttered with boxes etc. read more

I have been coming here for the past 10 years and the service LITERALLY never change. I don't know if they overbook or they just can't manage the time schedule well but I ALWAYS have to wait over 45 minutes to get my eyes checked. Every single time I come, they're always so backed up! If you guys can't schedule people in at the said time, then manage your appointments better!! I keep coming here because it's close to home and I've just been here for sooooooooo long alrd. I love Dr. Song! I can't say enough good things about her. I would give 5 stars but their is only one great person on her staff. The other people that work there speak to patients as if they've never talked to another human being before. It's the oddest thing. No smile, monotone, and don't look you in the eye. Everyone that answered my calls were great! Friendly and understanding. They went out of their way to situate your insurance plan and what they accepted. They have great prices right now so I highly recommend checking them out! Unfortunately, my insurance wasn't accepted and they apologized and told me if I asked other optometrist about "____" insurance, they could easily understand which insurance I had.
