Extremely unprofessional & disorganized billing. We last saw them in October 2025 and they just now called us Feb 2026 saying there's insurance issues. Not only did they call me 3 times, but they then called my husband 3 more times after I had just spoken to them. Then they threatened saying if we don't fix the insurance issue they will charge the card on file after 7 days. Also if your child needs to see a specialist they refer to outdated specialists with low ratings. read more

I'm a first time mom to a very colicky baby boy and I'm so happy someone told me to bring my baby to Dr. Mike. He's the best doctor I've ever met, so kind and genuine. Literally feels like part of the family. And on some occasions I've seen the other doctors and they're all so great, and the nurses that call me are so kind and helpful. I'm not sure what peoples reviews about the staff are about, i have not encountered any bad experiences at all. They're all really helpful and try to make your lives easier. Not everyone has quite, easy babies so honestly I'm happy they got my card info from the start because my baby cries almost always leaving there because i have to put him back in the stroller and he hates that. I'm grateful i don't also have to go through my bag and pay before leaving while my son cries and makes every other baby cry in that waiting room lol. Oh and i love the separate waiting areas for sick visits and well visits, makes me feel so much better. read more

Terrible experiencing trying to on board my kids as new patients. The staff was unhelpful and required many follow up calls. When I finally received an appointment, I was emailed a link to a telehealth appointment. We waited for 30 minutes before calling to office to see when the doctor was going to get on the call and they told me it was an in-person appointment and I had missed it. I told them I received a link for a telehealth appointment and they said they didn't know why. We have no idea how the doctors are because we never saw one. Save yourself the frustration. read more

Dr. Mike, the nursing staff, and the front office staff here are the best of the best. I see a lot of complaints about wait time, or that it's difficult to connect with the front desk. I wish that people would have a little more compassion -- the front office ladies deal with probably dozens (if not close to hundreds) of calls a day. We can't expect people to be perfect these days. So much is going on and I wish that ya'll could find it in your hearts to be more gracious with your feedback. Also, if you are seeing a doctor for Urgent Care during cold and flu season, you will likely have to wait. Yes, it's super inconvenient at times, but in my experience, the entire team here is doing the best that they can do. Also: Dr. Mike is a saint. Highly qualified, calm/cool/collected with my kid, and a hilarious person to come see every few weeks (my kid is a toddler so he's sick often). And if Dr. Mike isn't available, every other doctor I've seen has been similar. The on-call doctors on the weekends are fabulous too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, 10 out of 10, 5 stars. read more

Dr. Mike and Dr. Brian are spectacular doctors. They listen well and both of my boys have felt comfortable sharing information with them (essential when dealing with teenagers!). Both boys - age 21 and 16 - started with Val Peds when they were born. My older son is sad that he aged out of seeing Dr. Mike! We highly recommend Val Peds. read more

They are the absolute BEST! My daughter is 15 yrs old and I've been taking her here since she was born. We moved out of the area several years ago, but the extra driving time is well worth the quality of care they provide. We always try to make an appt with Dr. Mandel because both my daughter and I simply adore her. She is warm, friendly, thorough, takes her time and always makes my daughter feel very comfortable and safe. I somehow inadvertently missed the date of the last well visit, but the office was very understanding about my mistake and they were able to reschedule it that same week with Dr. Mike (he was just as incredible & caring btw ). We never have to wait more than five minutes to be seen and I'm always able to make a sick appt for the same day. All of the nurses, front desk & billing staff are amazing as well. It's also not located in a large medical building which is great because parking is always available, free & just a few steps away from their front door. I cannot adequately express how grateful I am to have found them. The peace of mind I have in knowing my daughter's health in excellent hands is priceless! read more

Here's why you should avoid this office until they change their policies: when you see a doctor, they charge you 100% of the visit cost on your credit card. Then, when they receive your insurance payment, they "refund" the difference. There are multiple problems with this: 1) they are holding onto your money when they should be waiting to be paid by insurance 2) they are putting their clients at a disadvantage. If you contest what the insurance should've paid, it's too late. They already have your money. 3) this is not best practices for any other doctor's office and is frankly unethical. Until they change this practice, you should avoid this office. read more

Office has an emergency line, every time I had a question, they were following up with me and doctors returned my call 3. Appointments are available for same or next day (and that was really important for me with a newborn) 4. Labs were done in the office 5. I made an appointment for my son's physical as a new patient. They made me feel out all the form before making an appointment and so I did, but the front desk lady called the next day at 8 am while I was taking my son to school accusing that I didn't turn in one of the forms and demanding to turn it in right at the moment or else they will cancel my son's appointment. I told her I turned it in yesterday but she kept saying I didn't, so asked her if she could wait twenty minutes because I was driving my son to school. She said "No" if I didn't do it right away she'll cancel the appointment. I told her I couldn't at the moment, she ended up canceling my appointment. THAT FRONT DESK LADY WAS SO RUDE AND SHORT. The way she talked to me was unacceptable. When I got home I checked my sent emails and, of course, I DID send all the form yesterday. These people are so unprofessional and so unkind to be working at a pediatrician office. ------------------------------------ So after I took my son to school, I called to see if they can double check the form I sent yesterday, and of course she said she got it. There aren't enough stars to give this office and staff! The doctors are patient, understanding and knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. We have never been turned away for an appointment and have been seen for everything from viruses to broken bones this year with the same sense of urgency. We are new to the area and choosing a pediatrician in an unfamiliar town where we knew virtually no one was hard. Today we brought our 6 yr old to Valencia Pediatrics for the first time to check the healing of a head wound with staples that we were concerned about. All of the nurses and doctors we met were AMAZING with our son- who started out very nervous about letting them near the wound. Dr. Brockett was gentle, patient, very easy to talk to and took her time assessing the situation and speaking with us before deciding the best treatment for the wound. I am so very thankful we saw her and for the care we received from the staff. I can confidently say we've found our pediatrician! read more

I'm giving them a 1 Star because Dr. Brockett is the absolute worst doctor and absolutely do not ever take your kids to see her. I've spoken to her twice. When my son was born I brought him home to my other daughter being sick with RSV. I called because I had a concern and Dr. Brockett cut me off in the middle of me expressing my concern and said that I was negligent and may as well take my infant to the hospital because I gave him RSV and exposed him to risk of death.... wow. I literally was crying because of how harsh she was. Today again I called and she was the one who answered and every time I tried to express a concern she cut me off then started talking only to circle back to what I was trying to tell her yet she kept cutting me off. She is aggressive and rude. She hung up on me because I confronted her on her behavior. The truth is we do like every other doctor there and the front desk staff but solely based off Dr. Brockett they will not get a better review. read more

The reason why I give them five stars. I have had almost emergency situations with both of my sons from the time that they were born up in to the young age they are now. Valencia pediatrics allows you to call them for non-emergency matters in which they help you over the phone and also are able to make appointments for the next day. The reason why this is important to me is because urgent care can't handle all issues and you always have to wait. At Valencia pediatrics typically you get to wait in your car and they don't make you wait very long, just as quick or even quicker than urgent care. Things have to be really bad for me to do the ER or the emergency because I know that I will most likely be waiting up to four hours or more, I read it about it all the time in a group I'm associated with. They have a streamline of doctors in which you can request from the one that you choose for your appointments. They were so kind, back in the day when my sons were first born and transitioned into formula, they would kindly assist by trying formula samples if constipated, and other times just out of courtesy. Having so many appointments for the past four years has really proven how great that they have been, I've never had a complaint and never have had an issue. It's very rare in this day and age to be able to find a place that meets up to your par as a parent and as an adult. read more

DO NOT rely on this pediatrician if you have sick children who need immediate care. It is absolutely unfathomable that they never have last minute appointments available AND they refuse to take walk ins!! What kind of pediatricians office doesn't make themselves available to see sick children?! It's such a shame because Dr. Becky Mandel is a terrific doctor with an incredible bedside manner but that doesn't really matter because we can never get in to see her! This place is infuriating. Unfortunately I agree with many of the negative reviews on Yelp. The front office staff and billing has been terrible. Calling for an appointment is a STRUGGLE and the staff on the phone rude/not helpful. They only book out two months in advance and typically when I call they don't have any times left that work in our schedule. I get that afternoons are a popular time slot - but sorry parents work and kids have school, that is part of it. You'd think knowing that they'd handle their patient load more appropriately ... or heck, at least be nice to parents when they call. Kindness goes a long way ... I've tried the appointment request on their patient portal simply to avoid calling and listening to the rudeness on the other end of the phone ... but every request I make is denied, so a call has to be made. The billing is just weird - I'll be honest I don't understand it all, but in comparison to our previous pediatrician its just awful ... we get charged for things we didn't previously get charged for with no changes to our insurance plus strange insurance policies I've never heard of?!?! I get insurance gets complicated, but I don't understand why it is SO different from our previous doctor?!?! The staff could not explain and honestly didn't come off like they cared to try to explain it. The waits - terrible. We ALWAYS have to wait 45-60 min (sometimes longer) to see a doctor. Thats with an appointment!!! Usually half that time is in the waiting room and the other half in the actual check up room. We've been going to Valencia Pediatrics for a year now and stopped taking our kids in when they get sick - we opt for urgent care instead. The urgent care we go to has call ahead so we NEVER wait, the office staff is kind, the doctors are efficient, AND the billing is similar to our previous pediatrician. Between our two kids they have had 4 ear infections and stitches ... we never saw/called Valencia Pediatrics about any of it ... isn't that sad? My last complaint is the doctor selection - they had us choose a pediatrician to be our main doctor when we started going. We selected one and I met her once ... after that nothing! I always see someone else?!?!? Maybe I'm just used to a smaller practice, but it feels so strange to put on a school form that my kid's doctor is Dr. "X", but we never see them?!?! I would bet that doctor doesn't even know who my kids are?!?! Not to mention seeing random people each time - no body really gets to know my kids and I wonder if they know medical history or not?!?! I feel like with someone new I have to explain things over and over?!?! When I asked the office staff about it the response, "Well that doctor isn't always here." followed by silence. Just rude! The only reason I give two stars over one, is that despite always seeing a different doctor, all the doctors do seem great. They are nice and take their time with each of my kids. They are knowledgeable and I tend to trust their assessments. I just wish there would be more consistency. I just went through the huge hassle of making appointments for the fall only to get on the patient portal to cancel them (yes the portal - I do not ever want to call there again) ... we are going elsewhere! It is too bad, b/c the doctors could be really awesome if the office was just run differently. read more

We love Dr Sethi! She asks questions, listens well to concerns and doesn't brush them off. She is proactive to address anything that might be a cause for concern. She does more hand holding than probably your average doc, and is super encouraging. The front desk girls are usually very organized and quick to get you checked-in and out. Some days you can tell it has been a long week for them, but let's be honest, we all get there sometimes. The 4 stars are because sometimes you don't get to see the doc you love. While 80% of the other docs in the practice are amazing too, there are a few that are so completely different that it is hard to trust they are doing what is best for you and your babe. When in doubt, I have found addressing these concerns with your primary in the office helps go a long way. read more

For the doctors alone I would give 5 stars. But over all I they only get 1. The front staff is THE WORST! They are rude, short and can't even say hello when you walk in. They basically ignore you and don't even acknowledge you are there. (That was the case before COVID-19, and even now with their waiting room closed they can't be bothered) They will only allow 1 parent in with the baby (even if it's the first time getting shots), but allow 2 other kids without mask!! But the first 2 appointments newborn and 2 weeks old are allowed 2 parents, but at 2 months old 2 parents suddenly are too much of a risk? The drs are wearing masks, the rooms are sanitized after and you don't even sit in the waiting room or have contact with any other patients?! So who is the 2nd parent with a mask on a risk too?? The baby who is exposed to both parents at home? Doctors and nurses who wear masks and wash their hands between patients? Front office staff who is behind glass? This was our experience, yours might be different but...My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Kathy Brockett since she was a newborn. The experience has always been just ok, every time there was a concern she would come in with referral to a specialist and I felt like she didn't do anything beyond the basics. And, she kept asking me the same questions at every visit which led me to believe we were just numbers to her. All that said, we had one of the worse experiences today at my daughters 18 month wellness check. I have never stormed out of a doctors office but my husband and I were so utterly disappointed in Dr. Brockett that we couldn't control ourselves and did just that. After waiting over an hour for her to come in, she was short, impatient and displayed a very frustrated demeanor because we couldn't get my daughter to calm down, she's 18 months and was terrified. I was upset that my daughter was crying so hard she almost threw up, but I had to experience our pediatricians frustration on top of an already stressful visit. It's was disappointing that a veteran physician would behave this way. After we called her out she continues to validate her poor attitude with "it's the end of my day" - my thought is if you're not able to have patience with your toddler patients past 3pm, don't schedule late appointments and don't make them wait over an hour to be seen for a routine check up. I should have asked, are you not billing us? Is this not your job? Did you not chose this profession? Nonetheless, we won't be returning to this office. Parents advocate for your kids. I am truly shocked with the negative reviews... I have only good things to say about this office and the staff. I have never had an issue with wait times, front office staff, billing or any of the doctors. My children have only been patients at this clinic for about three years, but I can not imagine going anywhere else. My son was born with congenital heart disease and unfortunately, his pediatrician retired a couple years ago. Soooo... I was forced to find a new PCP for him. I was extremely reluctant to even start looking because I loved his old pediatrician and I trusted him with his complex disease; however, I did some research and ended up at Valencia Peds with Dr. Mike. From day 1, Dr. Mike exceeded all my expectations. He is extremely competent, professional and great with all my kids. When my youngest son was born two years ago he had almost daily visits because he was jaundice. Each visit we saw a different doctor and honestly, I loved them all. I actually enjoyed the opportunity to meet all the doctors... I mean when you walk into the clinic for a sick visit you have to see the on call doctor so its nice to get to know them all. Plus collaboration among the doctors enhances the quality of care your child receives. Anyways, once his jaundiced cleared we were able to schedule our well appointments with any doctor we chose. I highly recommend this office, and anyone one of the doctors here (especially Dr. Mike)! read more

Honestly I would of given 5 stars, because I adored our pediatrician for my kids. My youngest is only 5 months and we were just dismissed from the practice with no reason given, or any prior issues. I was only given 2 weeks to find a new doctor. I am saddened and at a loss as to why. I thought this could of been handled better. I even brought my 5 month old in 3 days before I got the letter; I never got my prescription for son. Now I don't get a call back regarding that. First of all, I have had ZERO issues with the front office or billing! I almost discounted this practice because my first choice was Santa Clarita Peds and they aren't accepting new patients until 2019, and this practice has a 3 star overall rating. Which is SO disappointing because we had a five star experience. We had Dr. Sethi who I LOVED (hands down I am booking ALL future appointments with her). My nanny brought my 1 year old for her checkup and I was rushing from a job interview in Santa Monica to get there in time. My nanny called me and had me on speaker until I got there (luckily I got there about 10 minutes into the appointment). Once I got there Dr. Sethi didn't make me feel rushed AT ALL. She asked all the right questions and she did a thorough examination and answered all my questions. I loved that she told me that "if the baby cries, pick her up, because I don't want her to be scared of me." My little one whined a bit but overall did great and had a healthy checkup. My daughter had a bit of a cold so we skipped vaccines on this appointment and came back the following week for a vaccine only appointment. The nurse let me hold my daughter while she got her vaccines (one in her arm one in her thigh) and I mean obviously she cried but the nurse was so gentle and quick and my daughter had no pain, swelling or fever. On the subject of vaccines I also love that Dr. Sethi prefers not to give more than three vaccines in a visit and we have a SLIGHTLY modified schedule from the CDC version and she was completely willing to work with us with no judgement. I can understand people feeling uncomfortable having to give their credit card number but we've had no issues in that department. Thank you Valencia Peds for being so amazing! read more

I really like my kids' doctor. She's great! I like everything else about this place HOWEVER, Appointment scheduling is terrible. It is the beginning of September. First I tried to schedule using the patient portal which was unsuccessful. When I called, they told me that there were no appointments available for the time slot I need for the entire month of October! Dr. Stern is wonderful. We brought our 3 & 5 year old children for their yearly check up today and had Dr. Stern for the first time. She was patient, loving and not in a hurry whatsoever. She took the time to listen to our questions and gave thoughtful, caring answers and easy explanations. She filled out our son's kindergarten registration paperwork (without charging us, even though the office told us it was $10 per page) As long as we're living in Santa Clarita and Dr. Stern is practicing, that's we'll be taking our kids! read more

2 1/2 because only half of it is good. I really do like most of the doctors, but there are huge problems. The office staff is horrible. So rude, no hellos "use the iPad" and when you check out they barely want to help you. The billing thing with the credit card is frustrating and annoying. The nurses are not good with kids for the most part. Not sure why they are hired. Most times there is a huge wait either in the front room, but mostly in the room and always makes me think they forgot that I'm in there. I always open the door and peek to so they know I'm in there. Things need to change or they will lose patients. My kids are getting older so we don't go very often, and when we do there its hard to schedule. And I would change offices but the kids love certain doctors and don't want to. Hoping they switch some of their business practices. read more

We've reached the end up for our patience with this money grubbing doctors office. Stuck in traffic, called ahead to say we'd be 15 minutes late, and when we arrive we are informed that if the doctor says he can't see us we will be charged an extra $40. He was able to see us (luckily he said!) but made us wait an extra hour in the examining room. Find a pediatric doctor who actually cares about their patients. Our family has been coming here since both my daughters were born. This is hands down the best pediatric office in Santa Clarita! All of the physicians, nurses and staff are amazing - professional, nurturing, kind and friendly. Offices are open Monday - Saturday. They have flu clinics in the fall. We have had the opportunity to see/work with every physician in the office and honestly the best doctors! The nurses are extremely patient and caring. Been here four times with our 1 month old son. First visit was okay doctor seemed busy. Second visit same thing she had to step out during the visit and handle something for about 10 minute and then come back but we liked that doctor. Next visit went well. For the fourth visit we were told to call on the day of the visit and schedule a time. We thought that was odd but ok that will work. We called the day of and they weren't sure why we needed to come or if they could fit us in. I told them I can't remember why the doctor wanted us to come again prior to the two month check up but she did and when we left that day we went up front to schedule the appointment and the girl at the front desk told us to call on this specific day. Idk what's up with there front desk but its not efficient. Also it's not hard to schedule appointments... so I hate to have to spend time trying to figure out their job. Looking at other pediatricians. Santa Clarita pediatricians has good reviews. Update: when they called me back the nurse said we didn't need to follow up in regards to our previous visit. I told her that this visit was in regards to the visit before that two weeks ago. Then she's says oh yeah it's for a weight check. Great... sure it would have been easy if I could have known that but I didn't and idk how that info can't get passed along and they know that's what we need. Also how does a weight check need to be scheduled the day of? None of this makes sense. These people are mismanaged. We don't have time on our few days off work (also with a newborn) to be going round and round with schedulers at our babies pediatrician. We should just be able to make an appointment and the staff should know what the appointments are for per the doctors. read more
